There are times when your business is in full swing or you want to attract more customers to your WooCommerce store. You plan to offer discounts or offer free shipping on your products. The free shipping strategy is useful when you have products like promotional badges, goodies, or have freebies to offer, and do not want to charge your customers for this.
But here’s the twist in the tale. WooCommerce by default does not provide a specific feature that allows you to apply free shipping for only specific products. Although WooCommerce has a default shipping method as Free Shipping, it will be applied to all the products. What if you want to apply Free Shipping on certain products only?

Say i have a weight based product where I use weight based shipping. The cost is 21$ and some change to ship this product. I would like to another product to my website. The catch with the second product would be that i want it to ship for free. So if they got the first product and added the second to the cart the shipping would still come out to 21 and some change. Please let me know if there is any plugin that i can use to solve this! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Without a plugin, how do you charge free shipping to one zone, but not the other? Is there a way? Like free to the US on one product, but you charge shipping to Canada on the same product? Obviously it would be more expensive from where you are to allow free shipping to everyone in your shipping zones.
It is possible to make free shipping to one zone and charge to other zone. It can be done without a plugin as it is one of the common functionality of shipping zones. You may consider going though this article for more details - learnwoo.com/woocommerce-shipping-zones/

The tip part to show "free shipping" instead of a blank space didn't work. Creating two flat rate shippings gives the customers two shipping options (even if fields are left as N/A as shown here): customer sees both the flat and free shipping options to choose from.

How do you Apply Delivery fee for certain products, if we set up free shipping for orders above xx amount

Hey LearnWoo, this doesn't seem to have any effect, i followed all the steps till the end (for the option 1 - without any plugins) and the shipping cost is unchanged.. I did assign the correct shipping class to the products and i did set its shipping value to 0.

It depends on the free shipping strategy. For example, if you want to apply free shipping only to specific products in the store, can use a conditional shipping plugin like this one

It should work if WooCommerce is properly configured.

WooCommerce Advanced Free Shipping Plugin - that is the be-all-end-all solution.
If you have a multi-vendor site, you have to manually create a condition. Couldn't be easier to use.
Amazing that this ridiculous video actually has a better solution than the newer videos on RUclips...and being 3 years old.

This method doesn't seem viable if your store has 100s of products. Because then what? Make a shipping class for every product?
Hello Autif Kamal, You have to create only one shipping class and associate with those products that offer free shipping.

It is viable if you use a plug in "DSers" to set up your shipping methods.
You can set up shipping methods easily for you products on DSers.

You just have to pick the shipping class everytime you create a new product. Assigning to products already created is another matter.
