I know I'm a year late, but I love your reviews. Everything about the books I can think of is discussed and no stone is left unturned. I feel the same way about Wolves that you do. Two of my reasons for feeling that way coincide with your own. My 5 Reasons why I love it: Sequel to Wizard and Glass, which we waited for longer than any other volume in the series. A Semi-Sequel to 'Salem's Lot The Berni Wrightson artwork The fact that it incorporates The Seven Samurai/Magnificent Seven storyline into it The meta stuff at the end with them finding a copy of 'Salem's Lot in the book. (Which I thought was a joke at first, and thought it would be cool if it were true. Then, upon finding out that it was indeed true, it made Wolves an instant favorite. As a matter of fact it is one my top three favorites in the series. I LOVE this book.)
the biggest part of this book that I remember is the ending wow it is really amazing if you've never had it read to you by Frank Muller it's definitely worth checking out the audiobook
Do you have an approximate time frame in which they specify that? I totally missed it. I assumed Callahan comparing his name to Calla Bryn Sturgis cemented the way it was pronounced
@@Th3Downz They talk about the pronunciation in chapter 4 - 10, page 117 in my copy. It says "Calla with the tongue up, making a broad-a sound, Callahan with the tongue down, making a much sharper a-sound" though that doesn't make it very clear how the word should be pronounced, not to me anyways. The spanish word calla is already widely pronounced like "ka-luh" in english, and like "kai-yuh" in spanish, so I would just stick with the way it's commonly pronounced in english unless you can decipher the explanation given in the book
Been watching you DT series and I'm digging it. I don't have the time or memory retention to read these big arching stories. Hell I forget stuff that happens in the GOT TV series. I find DT really interesting and you kind of abbreviating the story gives me more insight of the story. I want to eventually read them once I got enough time, plus I'm a slow reader. Nice work!
nice book in the series... i finished it and it made me go to the sixth right away. in my opinion, it is one of the top three in the series. ( i am finishing the sixth currently)
I stopped reading the Dark Tower series after, "The Wizard and Glass." I remember "The Wizard in Glass" as a different book. From what I remember, "Wizards in Glass" was the end of the series. I must be hallucinating.
King is a literary genius. I cannot fathom how he makes this stuff up. I read somewhere that he doesn't even think about what he writes, it just comes to him. Not many people have that ability.
Just finished this book. Never been a huge fiction reader but this series is one of the best things ever !!! Needs to be a very detailed HBO series IMO. Good god
the title is simple. but the whole book is not. got a few plots in it. father callahan back story was one of it. and then there's jumping from one universe to the next. battle with the wolves only came at the end of the book. we still don't know why the wolves kidnapped those kids and ruined them.
I might have simply not noticed, but i feel the whole "19" and "99" coincidences happened out of nowhere. Im sure this will be answered (dont want any spoilers), but can anyone clarify these numbers for me and their significance in the 5th book?
Question..... Why didn’t the families of Calla Bryn Sturgis just leave the area to avoid their children being taken? Why stick around Calla so your kids can get snatched by zombie warriors?
@@jamesgabriel7132 That's not the question. It gets explained on the book, actually. Still we have a bunch of unanswered questions that lazy ass King has put all over the book.
I always dig your reviews and energy, thank you.

I'm with you on this one. A phenomenonal read!

Muller didn’t narrate this book.
Calla is pronounced like “caya” in the book they say Callahan is pronounced with the l’s making a regular l sound while calla does the opposite

@@AlrienJ Right on, thank you!
It is pronounced Calla, according to the audiobook and the sections where callahan realises how similar it is to his name
It's pronounced with the Ls. Callahan remarks how similar sounding it is to his own name

This series is GREAT
Yes. I loved this book too. Our top 3 are the same, although I put Drawing of the 3 above the Wastelands. Great review!

I loved how you explained the ending , about reality and fiction.
I loved the dialogue about abortion LOL
I like how you start off soft spoken and then get all ramped up. Hahaha. I’m drunk.

Nope not at all

Just finished this last night after years of not reading any further. Definitely going to finish the series now.

That is the way King works. He doesn't give away all the answers right away.
I could've sworn he set up 19 in the Gunslinger. Isn't that the word Walter cursed that bartender with (which ended up getting her killed?
What happened to the Wizard and Glass review
when will the next review come out????
Question..... Why didn’t the families of Calla Bryn Sturgis just leave the area to avoid their children being taken? Why stick around Calla so your kids can get snatched by zombie warriors?
They are stupid
I think maybe they'd take all that time to settle in and the Wolves would smell out the kids in their location and find them again
They reasoning provided is that the Wolves could find them no matter where they went
Because this book is just a shitload of nonsense and its written for kids, nothing rational would happen.
THANK U!!!!
What did the wolves do to the kids
Ruint em
Make em retards
the question is, why kidnap the kids and ruin them? why?

I'll take honestly or excuses any day
After Wizard & Glass, the series went downhill.
And there’s a reason for that, why there was a shift for the last three books in the series
At the startYou said Calla wrong. Not pronounced the same as Callahan
get fucking real lmao. who cares
This isn't really a review it's just a plot synopsis
Joe Navajo to be fair he did rate it 5/5 thus making it a review but also he did explain the whole plot LOL
Fine! is what i was searching, i read it years ago but wanted a recap for as personal reason :P
