It’s kinda lucky for me I used to go on it every weekend to Birmingham from redditch but I recently move to Leeds which still have some in Manchester and they’re giving them to northern so that’s lucky lol still bit pissed off at the fact their replacing them
17 of them are being cascaded to Northern whilst 9 of them are either going into storage or will remain with WMR as I don't think scrapping them is actually a good idea although they're almost 30 years old now.
Word, his content is usually real good. Detailed rides with a description of the passed/arrived at stations etc, always rides in the motor coach with a detailed audio so you can hear each units unique traction etc. And his "trains at" vids are always quality. No complaints from me
Just subscribed. Nice to see a vid that takes in the whole route, looking forward to this one in TS20xx hope they do the 323 to go with it and do the sounds justice.
The West Midlands Railway Class 323 are to be cascaded to Northern with some to be sent for storage. As West Midlands Trains are replacing the Class 323, Class 319 and Class 350/2 with the Class 730 Aventra. And they are also replacing the Class 170 Turbostar with the Class 196 Civity. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_323 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_730 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_196
I love those class 323 trains sound, never looks aged, should remain
I like the 730s. But the fact that the 323s are making way for them makes me want to cry.
It’s just a train, nothing lasts forever. They’re not being fully replaced as they are *most likely* going to Northern
Dont get too upset, they served well.

@@NSE465 I get that but the fact they just spent thousands of pounds refurbishing them I think it’s a waste of money

I love how effortlessly the 323s fly up the Lickey
Same.
Wow, those motors sound so cool👍.
I LOVE These trains! Mostly travel from gravelly hill on these from 2016 and Bromsgrove in 2018
Finally!!! An actual long video of these units. Sounds like it was just starting up in the beginning lol.
Such an underrated channel

I remember travelling on one of them from Birmingham New street to Redditch and from Birmingham New Street to Adderley Park
Really awesome!

Well DTG didn't do the sounds justice! As usual.

It will be sad to see these go. I remember travelling on them from Coventry - Wolverhampton. Do you know if they still run on that line?
I don’t think so anymore! The 350’s took over that route
I have to ask,all the news re travel seems to be geared around airlines how are the rail companies managing during the pandemic? do they get aid?
The gov is basically managing all of them now.
Should have sat the other side - view of new HS2 station , Sutton Park, Lichfield Cathedral etc.
Please can you do a route from redditch to licfield trent valley thanks :D
Such a shame that these are leaving and being replaced.
Class 323 sounds like Japanese metro
54:46 Overshoot there driver!
