Let's be real. Singers like these are the real artists and pride of South korea but it breaks my heart to not seeing them get the recognition that they deserve even more than the kpop industry. I'm sorry this may come of as rude to some fans but look at their skill level, no glamour no glitter just pure emotion ,technique and precision. Singers like queen Sohyang, lee hyuk, son seung yeon, bada , the one, lee haeri, ali etc etc deserve all the daesangs and prestigious awards. Compared to them kpop is NOTHING yeah I said it NOTHING. I know how idols work in their trainee days to become a performer and land in the spotlight of fame but these artists dedicate their whole lives and heart to music. Just hear their voices ...so full of passion, frustation and love for music, just by hearing their soulful voices makes me tear up . The way korea sleeps on them is tragic. They should be all over the music industry but...loss of words actually.
If he went the ballad way, I'm pretty sure he would have hit it big in the industry. He was originally a ballad singer until his other norazo partner tricked him into rock and they went off the normal concept. Their songs were considered ''crude'' for Korea's standard and sometimes they were not allowed to promote their songs on music shows due to their lyrics. I'm glad he now took a step away from Norazo and now is in H.Y.U.K doing the things he want to do. :)
He has an amazing Operatic-Metal voice. I've it! So few singers with such a rare gift. I wish I could find more music sung by him in this style. I also would appreciate anyone who could translate his music in English captions so I could understand what he's singing about.

the real reason is that the concept and theme of their songs are too vulgar and cheesy in an effort of earning bread. it is really sad to see this much talent and looks are wasted in the drainage.

I'm not hating on K-Pop or Pop, but times and general preferences have changed. I'm a baritone that has a slightly lower voice than Lee Hyuk, and I'm practicing to sing sometimes. His resonant G5 makes vocalists cum in their pants.
