Oh my gosh I couldn't believe it when you came across the furniture because I was looking at my Dad's living room furniture Mom and Dad got in about 82 so I sat on that couch for many years! And yes Dad still has it in the living room today.
My mom had that same couch, she bought it off of a semi selling north carolina furniture back in the early 80’s, it was very durable, survived my teenage older brother tho the cushions never wanted to stay in place. I still have the coffee table and end tables out in my art studio…they are very study and are used when i need to hammer things.

When you grabbed the yellow Tupperware I don’t know if you seen the adorable mushroom canisters. They are from the 70’s. I sold a set a couple years ago & they sold for over $75.00. I paid $10.0p for the set of three in perfect condition!!

I had that same set as a young woman in the Navy. It was all I could afford when I was allowed to live off base and had to fully furnish my one bedroom apartment. Honestly, I look at that pattern now and wonder what I was thinking. Sold it several years later to another Navy couple that had a family room. Replaced it with a sofa bed couch that was a denim blue with hints of off white and a matching love seat that was still "country" but a lot more tasteful LOL.
Thought of you today, we visited Salmon Falls Pottery in Dover, NH. Definitely worth a visit. Blessings on the arrival of your daughter! You have a lovely family.
I bought that furniture off a semi at the Ross county fair in Chillicothe Ohio in 1982! I got an entire set just like in the video plus the double ottoman coffee table. I paid $250 and I had it in my living room for over 10 years then gave it to my sister who had it another 15. It was very heavy durable wood. Thanks for the nostalgia Joselyn. I had that same sofa 30 years ago ! Wow , a total blast from the past. It was so uncomfortable to sit in, The back was just 2 slats and the back cushion passed through the gap whenever you sat on it .

I have an original caboodle! Will never part with it! I can't believe how many things I saw on the shelves that I have. And that furniture!!! My husband had that set when we first met in the early 80's! I still have one of the end tables...I left it outside, it weathered, and it has the best patina on it! I use it in my bedroom. Love the Partylite! Especially that little stained glass votive holder...I have the matching tealight holder lamp!

Way back in 1982, my then husband and I bought our first stereo from Sears. The premium was a set of those Christmas cups. We got them out every Christmas for years and years. I still have the stereo, but the cups are looking gone!😄
You're right. They are not comfortable and the cushions don't stay put. I never liked the patterned ones either. The tables are sturdy and good though.

So funny thing... my husband has a fishing tackle box he puts all his toiletries, beard cream, nail clippers, etc in. We call it his Man-doodle to pay homage to the Caboodle of the 80s 😂

Your videos always gave me something to look forward to. There is only so much cleaning and crafts you can do before you start to lose you mind. LOL! I have that same exact couch and chair set in my living room! :-) I'm so happy, too. My puppy and cats are completely incapable of destroying it, and if the cushions get destroyed, I can just easily replace them. I'll never get rid of them!

My boss had her xmas table set with a different xmas pattern at each persons seat. I thought it was wonderful to admire all the different xmas dishes.
