so much fabulousness, thank you for sharing now I am on the hunt for smaller journal sizes I really liked the 5 inch one you showed. isn't James burke wonderful, so creative.
I love that you shared from the beginning to now. Loved the different sized formats and how your style has changed. It’s so good you’ve kept them all so you can see your own progress through the years. You are very talented! Patti
Wow Teresa........so impressed with your drawings and art work. Knew you were great at mixed media and a whizz with promarkers but had no idea you could draw like that.....wonderful. Thank you for sharing xxx
Thank you for sharing, I love your work. (Including the pages you say you hate)…. I recognize a lot of James Burke’s lessons and things…. (I’ve got some of those in my art journals, too. 😊👍🏻
I know what you mean about the different types of surfaces to work on. If I may offer an idea... I enjoy work with textures, as I know you have too. On the fabrics and weaves, etc., I've worked with threads and beading... actually sewing into the page. I used different types of threads, needles and even just things to pull the fibers through adding charms, beads, trinkets along with paint, etc. I even used thin woods and/or tree limbs and dried leaves and flowers. I found it really enjoyable, but I'll warn you... for me it was more time consuming but the finished product was a really nice piece of journaling art. :)
I will try some of those ideas, thank you, the journal is a challenge, but that is why I bought it. I just need to step a little further out of the box I think!
@@TeresaMorgan What actually started it for me was a clearance purchase I made of some boxes that had a weaved tweedy type of surface. I tried doing some stamping/painting on them but just wasn't happy. So, I just got old embroidery thread & beads that had been sitting in my stash for quite some time. I didn't really have a plan - just started trying & adding things as I went. I really enjoyed what was resulting. I'd send you a picture BUT, I lost everything - my art studio, my entire home... everything (except my husband, 2 poochie babies and my cars, thank the Good Lord)... in a house fire in 2011. ANYWAY... I hope you do try it and show me what you create. Have a great week. =:o)
Love what you have done.Pages are Fab.I don't like to say i am an artist(I am 3 years learning) I will say i am an artisy.I looked the definition up. You should be proud of what you are doing.Keep creating!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your journals with us. WOW... I like them all. I have a couple that I need to do some things in and you've inspired me to get back at it. Have a great weekend.
Your art is amazing!! Very interesting to see your progress over the course of doing these journals. Thank you so much for opening your beautiful journals to us! 🦋🦋🦋
Omg ur art is amazing I love everything about ur art, and the images u drew omg have u got a Digi shop ??? I am so inspired to start creating, thank you so much xx
I agree, it's important to see and remember that not everything someone creates is a "masterpiece". And "don't compare your beginning to someone else's middle".... or something like that. (I can't remember exactly how that goes). That being said, I love ALL of what I saw in all of your journals. (even the ones you said "I don't like that"). Anyway... thank you for sharing. =) I love this video. It's an important message, and I love all of your journals. I LOVE your WHimsyWeen and MerMay ones. =) I'm doing MerMay this year. it is a real challenge to do anything daily... but.... I'm having fun with it.... I did it last year and the year before too. I'm not following the prompts though, I'm just doing my own thing. I did Junicorn, last year and the year before, too... I will probably do it this year, too.
Thanks for sharing! Your drawings are amazing! Would you consider a tutorial/process video of how you do art journals with your own drawings and one using the collage digi stamps? I dont think I’ve seen video of people journaling with digi stamps so I’m quite intrigued about that (and i confess, i don’t know how to use digi stamps...)
Thank you - I am sure that I will do more art journal videos in the future. I shall try and different techniques and media. Digi stamps are basically jpg or png outline images that you resize on your computer and print out on paper or cardstock.
Thank you. It's a while since I recorded this video so I can't remember exactly which digi stamps were shown. I know I used a few from The East Wind and Vera Lane Studio - both are stores on Etsy. Hope this helps!
Hallo.Yyou are refering to Kakasi dolls? Obviously I have no idea what this is or how to spell it LOL could you be so kind as to put a link up or where I could learn more about it. Your journals are truly beutiful!!
