Maybe different on 9m (although you don’t fly 9m Evo D lab so hard for u to compare 🤭) but on 10m the Rebel D Lab has lighter bar pressure than 10m Evo D lab. Flew them back to back. @@corpuskiter bar pressure always seems to be the most subjective thing in reviews that I tend to get the most varying comments on actually 😂. Perhaps the conditions just effect it too much
I agree with you that evo dlab is similar to rebel dlab when it comes to jump heights, but only in hands of expierenced rider which is used to it to fast kites. Still most will choose rebel for easy jumping. @ yes. You can easily loop with 18-20 knots at low height(4-5m) and 11m will catch you… in my experience loops on evo SLS 11m are little bit better than Dlab (smoother loop = faster recovery) - speed of the both kites is similar

Nice review! I think to get all the juice out of the rebel d-lab it must be used with the new M-L trustbar, more input into the kite will make it more reactive and agile, I also heard from a pro rider that the kite works much better with the clickbar due to to the higher de-power from this bar.

Did you try the 12 Rebel Dlab? 9m and under has a different shape than 10m and up for Rebel Dlabs according to Duotone. I tried 12 and 13 Evo Dlab, 12 Rebel Dlab and the hangtime, especially downloop assisted hangtime of the Rebel is better. Low end of 12m Rebel Dlab is also so much better than 12m R-SLS, very slightly (0.5 knots probably) behind Evo Dlab, but more power both on demand and continuous delivery on the kite as well. I would still go 12 Rebel Dlab instead of Evo Dlab because I've also heard that some heavy riders are looping it quite hard at 27 knots! It basically enables me to ride it into higher winds before jumping on my 9. I also tried 10m Evo Dlab and that kite is a great 10m, sadly couldn't try 10m Rebel, but probably Evo gives more agility/flexibility in that size. All in all, I was surprised that you did not find the 9m performance more impressive, and found the hangtime of 9m Evo even better than the Rebel. I wasn't thinking of upgrading my R-sls in that size anyway, but nice to hear a "respectable kite, but not surpassing Evo Dlab yet" review to cement that choice :)
I only tried the 9m, but did say the rebel dlab might have been more impressive for hangtime, that’s of course a really hard thing to be sure on if the kites are quite close.
