Thank you! If you recommend it, I do it! Following your advice on cuticle and nail health changed my nails so much. As far as I’m concerned you are the first and last word for healthy nails and skin care. I didn’t even know what the cuticle is, and I was constantly damaging my nail beds and skin around my nails because I did not understand the anatomy and how to properly care for my nails. I no longer maul my poor proximal fold! I thought that was cuticle and I constantly damaged it and my nail beds before I found you!
I couldn’t agree more!
Tremendously helpful video! Seeing you treat your OWN feet rather than a client’s is so educational. I’m going to buy the file now! I have the Blue Cross so I’m set there. I just had an IBX repair treatment, which I’m not sure helped but overall my nails are coming along. Oil + DD have been life changing so Thanks.So.Much! -Jenny
I ordered the foot file right after watching this! I know we’re both gonna love it!
While it’s not a Mont Bleu, I have the same style file and I love it for my feet! Thanks for showing how to use either urea or blue cross - I wasn’t aware of that. Great points about the calluses and not taking too much.
I just started using blue cross on my fingers, following Anna’s directions. I do like it a lot. You get so much for the price too! I fill a clean empty nail polish bottle so I can paint it on like in Anna’s video.
I had no idea Blue Cross could be used for this purpose! Thank you for this wonderful how-to! 🥰
Thank you so much Anna! I just bought one of these, going to try it right away :)
Nice to see a professional using Blue Cross. I used it constantly when I was in beauty school. I also used it to remove Sebastian Cellophane hair gloss(the blue one) out of my white uniforms, never failed to work.
Thank-you, very much needed
Omg I can not believe it. I ordered the same foot file and it arrived today and here you are with anew video! Such a blessing and thanks!
My feet are dry with deep heel cracks even with exfoliation every week. I did not know there were glass foot files but I will have to buy one. Thank you for another informative video, Anna ☺️
Such a great video, thank you Anna ! Showed it to my husband, he needs to take especial care of his feet as he's diabetic, to convince him its little and often with cream and gentle regular filing that'll serve him best.
Oh, I'm so happy about this video!!! I've been trying to fix my foot "callouses" which turns out is just a little dry skin! Thank you so much!
Happy with all your recommendations!
Thank you so much, I'm very happy!! ❤️
Just ordered foot file and blue cross cuticle remover. Thank you for the videos. I learn so much from you.
Thanks again.
Thank you. Always enjoy your videos!
Thank you Dasha!
Thank you so much 😊 I benefited a lot from your information ℹ️ so much I understood my feet 🦶 problem and how to solve it.
I work on my feet 8-9 hours, 5 days a week. Besides investing in Dansko clogs with custom insoles, I’ve employed a LOT of tips from RUclips pedicure/podology sites. Thank you for this great video.
Using a nano glass foot file weekly is a must, along with daily coconut oil foot crème, and keeping up with my toenail care. A lot of my co workers have constant foot and leg problems-I know what using cheap shoes and ignoring your callouses and toenails can turn into. Take care of your feet!! And stay physically active as long as you possibly can-it keeps your body young.
I ordered this file … first one arrived broken … customer service was EXCELLENT! Received a replacement quickly and love it.
Love this video. So nice to see a good example from a pro and personal use as all too many salons go wild endless grating filing and stripping every ounce of moisture out of your feet and then barely even applying a legitimate amount of moisture back after your feet have been dry while whike sitting through 30 min plus of polishing. By biggest pet peeve and the thinnest lotions used too. For hands i get but not a fan of it during my gel pedicures as I would get home and run to apply one of my legit foot butters lol. Glad to know ive been doing it right at home as do the exact same just usually pumice stone and callus gel in shower after feet are softened from water 1x a week. I just ordered many Mont Bleu items including the glass foot file which I never would have thought to get a foot version of prior to your videos as opposed to the glass nail files I have used for years. Will try that approach post shower like you. I think my pet peeve of dry feet is just so hard to avoid when living in dry heat like I have always been in lol. Even doing your routine once a week, among wearing socks and kerasol nightly now per your rec and moisturizing daily I still always have that dryness even if not visually noticeable per the air alone. You can only imagine if I didnt do the maintenance I do lol. Thanks for another flawless tutorial! 😊👏😍
Thank you for the education. This was very helpful. 🙏😎
Thank you so much Conne! ❤️
Hi I love watching your video's and have learnt so much thank you. I was wonder if it was possible to do a video on how best to care for your tools many thanks
I use lactic acid foot peels a few times a year, but even after a fresh peel, there are still parts of my foot (heel and big toe) where calluses remain. I should probably do the peels more often… and this type of exfoliation with moisturizing in between would probably help… But with my health issues and disability, it’s difficult to feel much concern about my feet (which are either lying in bed or stuffed in slippers or walking sneakers) unless they’re uncomfortable and scratchy. I really care for my hands and fingernails but can’t find that kind of self-care desire for my feet. 😣
I need one of those foot files. Have a bad habit of walking around barefoot!
Mine LITERALLY ARRIVED YESTERDAY 📦
Hi Anna and MSL - thanks for another great video. MSL, so glad you mentioned about needing *some* callous if you’re a longer distance walker or a runner. The most challenging part of aging for me has been changes in my feet. Arthritic toe joints make my feet look so nasty, I won’t go for professional pedicures any more. I can hardly stand my own feet - I refuse to subject some an unsuspecting nail technician to them. Ugh. I envy all of you with pretty feet.
I feel you! I’ve always hated my feet, but since my disease has caused pain and disability in my legs and ankles I resent them even more. And it shows!
@@InvisibleRen Mine would never have won any awards but now they’re just monkey feet. ;-(
Please don’t feel that way about pedicures. I have ugly toes, thick callous on the ball of my foot and a hammertoe. Most are very understanding and helpful.
Is MSL her husband? The voice at of no where shocked me a bit!!
Nice video
Thank you :))❤️
Anna, you feet are lovely! They look nice and smooth even before you started. I have a lot more callouses than you have. I have never tried to get mine smooth, just not painfully cracked. I’ve been doing better lately, though. I got some Kerasal like you suggested (I think I did use your link) and put it on every night. I have a nano foot file I got from My Bliss Kiss and use it too. It’s a nano one, so very fine grit. While I don’t run, it bothers my hamstring and foot a lot, I do a lot of exercising. I’ve taken off too much callouses before and it wasn’t pleasant. So Anna and MSL, good caution there.
I don’t think I can do the massage and especially not the fingers between my toes. It just tickles so badly. It’s uncomfortable to even wash my feet with an exfoliant product. You’d hate giving me a pedicure. I wouldn’t complain, but wouldn’t be able to hold too still. Even with firm pressure, it still tickles. My feet are the only place I am ticklish, but they are very ticklish.
Any suggestions for corns? I get them between my toes. Thank you!
Do you prefer the file over a pumice stone?
Hey is this your first personal foot care demo? I have only seen the MSL ones. Both of you have nice feet! The file is in my cart but I need to find an alternative urea spray in US dollars.
What do the two products do that you reference in the beginning?
Were can i buy the prouduct you use in tne videos
Great video, I bought one of these files recently but I haven't used it yet so this was helpful.
How do you feel about those foot peel kits, "Baby Foot" is one of the brands.
I was wondering about that Baby Foot type peel too. I haven’t tried it but a couple friends use it.
I’ve used Baby Foot several times. The product makes your the skin on your feet peel for several days (quite unsightly), but when the peeling is complete you will have lovely soft feet.
❤❤❤❤
I would very much like to know who makes that Pedi Chair and the name please. Thank you for showing the process.
Hi Anna, Thank you for your question. Although the chair is "ok" our interactions with the manufacturer were quite poor. We do not recommend them.
Unfortunately we do not have any chairs we personally can recommend at this time.
Sorry we cannot be more help. Take care, MSL
Very helpful. My podiatrist was aghast that I don’t file callouses. It never seemed to help so I stopped but a few got so painful I had to have him intervene. I guess I’ll get a glass file and stay on it. You prefer to pumice stone?
Thank you for your comment! Pumice stone is way too coarse in my experience. Use the Kerasal cream as well. Absolutely after each shower. Foot file once a week and Kerasal after shower. :).
I hated the little debates with my nail people that I needed to keep the callus on my feet when I was dancing professionally. Lol. Please don’t make me have to re train my feet to my shoes every couple of weeks
Hi Rebecca! You would be surprised how many podiatrists remove way too much callus too. My clients would come back with pink skin on the bottom of their feet saying it's painful to walk. SMH. 🤦♀️
Would I do this with a corn (callous like thing in the center of the ball of my foot from playing sports with a tight shoe)? It's like a callous, but comes back more every time I shave it with a foot skin grater.
Using the grater is why it grows back more. You need a certain amount of callous to protect your feet. When you remove too much, your skin goes into overdrive to produce more. Just do a little bit at a time with a foot file and toss the grater and razor.
I think the corn may be caused by an infection. I had one when I was younger and had to see the doctor to get it removed. All she did was basically blast it with something super cold, I think it might've been something like nitrogen, then had us use an over the counter treatment until it came off.
Do we ever see this gentleman who is talking and usually the hands? Just wondering 😂
Do you have a link for the cream you used?
Hi Simply Shasta. Here ya go! amzn.to/3l9duK0
Thanks so much! - MSL
can you list an alternative? amazon no longer carries these.
Thanks for letting us know. Here is a link to other glass files we recommend. amzn.to/3SAblbs Take care!
I alway have calluses on the side of my big toe. My foot doctor said it’s because I have bunions. How can I prevent this. Thanks
Hi Diana, calluses happen for a reason. I have clients who had bunions on both feet, got one operated and the one without callus doesn't have a callus. So callus forms to protect the bones where there is more pressure on the foot or friction. The way to prevent is to improve your feet. Proper shoes with wide toes are necessary.
To improve the callus is to reduce it gently like I have shown and to use Urea based ointment after every shower. Kerasal is my favourite. There is a link to it in our description box. :)
🙂
I’ve always used cream on my feet twice a day. People thought I was weird!!
🙌
Me too, getting ready for bed is a ritual - face creams, eye cream, neck cream, lip balm finally hand and foot creams. No wonder I'm single 😂😂
What kind of kerasal is that? They have so many?
Hi Melissa, We use the Kerasal Intense foot repair. Here is an Amazon link to the one we use. amzn.to/3l9duK0
Thanks so much! - MSL
@@TheSalonLife thank you! Would it be the same to use on the skin around my nails. I use Aquafor now
Yes, the same. If the skin around your nails needs extra love. If it’s good then Aquafor is great. But if the skin is callused especially due to cutting then Kerasal is helpful as it has urea, glycerin and salicylic acid.
Кто-нибудь может перевести из какого материала эта тёрка?
Это сделано из стекла :)
What’s the after product in the tube???
Hi Rebecca! It's Kerasal (urea based ointment for very dry feet and for skin around nails at night) amzn.to/3dy31F7
@@TheSalonLifeYour video has helped me so much. Thank you for the info! 😊
