      I hope he’s happy. He got to see what he did for everyone when he saved the engines, I hope he was proud to do the big action, now redone 90 years later.

    Typhoon: Allo allo allo here’s a sight for sore boilers avent seen you since the 1927
    Scotsman: Is that Typhoon I hear I haven’t seen you since that photo 90 years ago

    Flying Scotsman: You haven't changed much old friend
    Typhoon: Well you sure have changed a lot - where'd you get a set of deflectors?

    2:41, love the narrow gauge version Flying Scotsman as LNER 4472 in the background.

    I think of typhoon as a little sibling compared to scotsman

    • @herrbonk2211
      @herrbonk2211 5 лет назад +2

      The lego creationist it’s not, you can only consider engines as “siblings” if they are thesame class, Typhoon is just the cousin of the famous scotsman

    I rode the RHDR as a child back in the late fifties, early sixties. Still have the B&W photos somewhere. Now as a resident of Tombstone, AZ, it makes me wish we had attractions like this over here.

    • @mikdavies5027

      Benters. I live in Kent and regularly visit the RHDR. A few years ago I repeated the railway experience of taking my eldest grand-daughter on it with my youngest grand-daughter, who is now 20 years old. I think that she would jump at the chance again if I asked her. An iconic railway and, I think, STILL the smallest public railway in the world. Wish you well, Benters.

    I personally that diesels take all the romance out of railroading, so it's good to know that both miniature and full scale steam are still running :D
