I hope he’s happy. He got to see what he did for everyone when he saved the engines, I hope he was proud to do the big action, now redone 90 years later.
Typhoon: Allo allo allo here’s a sight for sore boilers avent seen you since the 1927 Scotsman: Is that Typhoon I hear I haven’t seen you since that photo 90 years ago
The lego creationist it’s not, you can only consider engines as “siblings” if they are thesame class, Typhoon is just the cousin of the famous scotsman
I rode the RHDR as a child back in the late fifties, early sixties. Still have the B&W photos somewhere. Now as a resident of Tombstone, AZ, it makes me wish we had attractions like this over here.
Benters. I live in Kent and regularly visit the RHDR. A few years ago I repeated the railway experience of taking my eldest grand-daughter on it with my youngest grand-daughter, who is now 20 years old. I think that she would jump at the chance again if I asked her. An iconic railway and, I think, STILL the smallest public railway in the world. Wish you well, Benters.
It’s beautiful when you think about it Typhoon and Scotsman haven’t seen each other since 1927, the little brother is finally reunited with his big brother
I am proud to say I cried during this. This really goes to show how dedicated we all are to the cause of steam... ride strong RHDR, for another ninety and so many more.
Because, engineering wise, she is in her final BR form with, among other things, kylchap double blast pipe and German style deflectors. I dont like them myself but...
R.I.P. Sir William McAlpine 1936-2018
And thank you for saving two historic treasures for generations to enjoy for years to come
RIP Sir William McAlpine
January 12, 1936 - March 4, 2018
Austin1987VCR March 4 is my birthday.
I hope he’s happy. He got to see what he did for everyone when he saved the engines, I hope he was proud to do the big action, now redone 90 years later.

Flying Scotsman: You haven't changed much old friend
Typhoon: Well you sure have changed a lot - where'd you get a set of deflectors?
let's get them back together on the 100th anniversary

Older Brother and Little Sister Locomotive Relationship.
How Cute, England!
Seeing 2 old friends back together again makes me smile
That is an amazing recreation. 90 years apart and this memory lives on. Fantastic
2:41, love the narrow gauge version Flying Scotsman as LNER 4472 in the background.
I think of typhoon as a little sibling compared to scotsman
The lego creationist it’s not, you can only consider engines as “siblings” if they are thesame class, Typhoon is just the cousin of the famous scotsman
Or a child.
That's really nice giving flying Scotsman is my favourite locomotive
How cute is typhoon?

Preservation is all about having fun, this was wonderful to see!
Marvelous stuff. Hooray for both of them. That we do so well after 90 years. Thanks.
I can just imagine the dialogue these two would have
Just got back home 10 minutes ago after watching the Scotsman puff pass my local station
Like father like son
Father:flying Scotsman
Son:tycoon
Typhoon, not Tycoon.
It’s beautiful when you think about it

2 beautiful locomotives.
Indeed!
@@RomneyHytheDymchurchRailway is typhoon based on flying Scotsman?
Typhoon and Flying Scotsman are both twins each in different sizes and gauges. I hope Typhoon will be part of Thomas and Friends one day.
I personally that diesels take all the romance out of railroading, so it's good to know that both miniature and full scale steam are still running :D
I am proud to say I cried during this. This really goes to show how dedicated we all are to the cause of steam... ride strong RHDR, for another ninety and so many more.
I can’t believe that Sir William McAlpine is responsible for both of those engines staying up and running! It really brings a tear to the eye
Thanks for creating a piece of modern history
If only Alan Pegler was there. He is my hero!
RHADR is still on my bucket list, but I'd also love to see the Bluebell again.
3:23 nice touch :)
Fantastic!
Like the little and big
friends being united again
Flying Scotsman
The People’s Engine
Class A3 of Nigel Gresley
How cute
Typhoon looks alot similar to Henry in his old shape
Great to have theme back to back together again
That’s awesome
Interesting that both Scotsman and typhoon have gained smoke deflectors since 1927, almost a shame that the former hasnt got hers on in the shot
Typhoon thinks: "Oh my gosh, it's him, it's him!" 😃
Like father like son 😗😘😙😚
I love it
To me typhoon is like a little brother to flying Scotsman.
OMG I saw myself!

Flying Scott men has a little brother :)

You made that picture take it in 1927
why is the british railway flying scotsman hey instead of the LNER flying scotsman?
