    It was a pleasure to see an old school journalist conducting the interview. No fluff no bells, no whistles. People like Riz Khan have been seriously missed. It was nice to see him again.

      I feel like you kinda missed the point of Bassem. He says that he does not want to be the figurehead of any conflict and I can totally understand him. He is a comedian and not a politician. He may draw attention to certain topics but he doesnt see himself as some politicial activist or hero that will change the people's mind.
      I feel like thats what makes him authentic. A lot of "influencers" on social media just seem to chase clout and gain followers by constantly posting about this conflict. A lot of grifters and far-right people just talking about it because they know people will follow or donate them if they agree with that statement..

      Bassem helped organize the coup that overthrew the democratically elected government of Egypt and that brought Sisi to power. Not political? You have no idea what Mr. Youssef is about. He's very political when it suits him.

    Bassem is just a wonderful person! So fun to watch him prosper here in America, and then to see his courage, his wisdom his poise when speaking on the Apartheid Israeli mass murderers - was just inspiring! Huge applause to Bassem for risking his career & reputation for a worthy cause.

    bassem Yusuf is a gem! I’m so grateful for him allowing people to interview him and hear his opinions. He’s a good man. And I feel the same way about Biden- both orange guy and Genocide Joe are equally horrible.

    Bassem is truly genius! Very very potent in busting misconception about arabs and muslims and explaining with simplicity otherwise very complex and layered geopolitical issues.
    I personally don't take him as a comedian at all, though he has great wittiness with great wit.

    I admit I was pro Israel and now I am pro humanity and all my best wishes for the future of my Palestinian brothers and sisters.

    I really respected how Bassem said that Piers wasn’t the enemy and that’s his job! Don’t get emotional over a disagreement, the idea is to challenge the idea and not the person!

    Amazing conversation! Learning gems 'shut down conversation', 'reduce conversation' in daily life we need to learn to converse. Many live with reduced conversation, almost no conversation. This is so painful. We must be aware and unlock in sha Allah. Speaking with knowledge helps.

    Was wondering what had become of the accomplished Mr Riz Khan. Good to find him still in action. First seen in action in the late 1980s/early1990s? Looks just a coupla years older. Bravo!

    I humbly suggest that Dr.Yusuf could do a great deal to advance the inseparable causes of Justice and Peace in the conflict between Palestinians and Israelis, by serving as Prime Minister of either nation. Acheiving success as both a Cardiothoracic Surgeon and as a Standup Comedian (in his second language) says a lot in favor of both his scientific abilities, and his humanistic skills.

    Bassem is 100% Authentic, not only funny and smart, but I like the way he dressed! Humble and neat conversely to the rest of Egyptian stars! They dress flashy with horrible taste and colours🥹

    Great interview. I hope some day I disagree with Yusuf so I can prove him wrong. I think I would like him even if I disagree with him at some point (which I think is unlikely because I would consider such a position carefully and smart and informed people seem to agree an aweful lot). What a shockingly grounded guy. In this case, this level of fame could not happen to a nicer guy.

    Well done, Bassem. For me, the easiest way to demonstrate the Arab/Israeli conflict to a lay person as a land issue is to show a satellite image of the area. The green bit is the contested area.
