im a intel-nvidia fan boy but i respect rx 7900xtx for being a beast but if i were to choose obviously 4080 super just for gaming and task work i'll most likely never use any other card brand outside of nvidia but that doesn't mean i would say the 4080s is better than the rx 7900xtx because in some aspect it isn't don't know why most fans are biased and hate to say the truth.
Well nvidia will F you again with the new Series 😂 Again same amount of vram, its just simply disgusting that flagship model which is always xx80 has again 16gb vram. We get garbage coz nvidia fanboys will buy anything from them
@@boosted_jasperI tried AMD, gave it a try with the 7900xtx, but returned it. Micro stutters in valorant (why AMD can't fix it ?), stopped playing dota2 because if I accumulate to many crashes I would have ended up in low priority. Too bad because I got the Sapphire Nitro+ model for an amazing price (€900), this custom model was amazing, totally silent in my case. In the end baught a 4080super (got a deal from the retailer I returned my 7900xtx, added 70 euros to get a 4080 super ProArt with a black myth Wukong redeem code). However in games where AMD performs well, it performs truly well (RDR2, CoD....the performances are at 4090 level, if not even better). I was on adrenaline 24.8.1 when I used the card, HDR was also a mess and had to go back to SDR (I baught a QDOLED 240hz monitor at the same time, I thought it was a problem with the monitor, but is wasn't, works perfectly fine with my old 2070 and my new 4080s, using HDMI in both case).
@@boosted_jasper tbh it is at least a step up from gddr6x to gddr7, AMD gives you more usually but its still gddr6. I do agree that nvidia needs to bump up vram on all models regardless.
Yes this is expected as the rx 7900 xtx is a little bit faster when it comes to rastorization performance while the rtx 4080 super shines when it comes to Power Efficiency, RT and DLSS.
The problem here is that Nvidia cards' architecture is designed with ray tracing and dlss in mind. I guess this comparison is fine, but benchmarking with rt and upscaler is also important.
Even if we don't factor in RT, I would still buy the 4080S because of DLSS. For low to mid range I would probably choose AMD, but if we are getting to the 4070Ti Super territory or above I would start buying the Nvidia offerings. My main issue would be the power connector and since I still own a 3090 I don't feel pressured about an upgrade at all. Maybe when RTX 6xxxx lands or if we see something game changer from AMD. I definitely don't want a more power hungry card, or to be a beta tester with the connector, the 3090 is already pushing the limits there.
I have 7800x3d + Nitro 7900xtx.Its been a year and I have never looked back. AMD was cheaper and faster. Its a no brainer for me. Also Nvidia GPUs are faster with AMD cpus ;). If you have the money do a 4090.
Okay, but most of these comparisons are done in open areas where there's not much to render. For instance, you should benchmark RDR2 in the Saint Denis area, where most of the processing is done, and not in the open, empty fields. :)
@@goldkaban Those are the current top budget GPU's at the moment, it matters if drops a couple frames? Until other cards enters on the market we only have this
Ok but where is the with ray tracing comparison? Even though the 7900 xtx gives a little more performance with the features nvidia offers at the same price point it is just a better buy.
Ok fanboy , the 7900 XTX RT perf its not at the 4080 super level ofc, but its still matches the older 3090 TI Rt perf so its not bad at all when it comes to RT also , like many people trying to imply or trow hate on it . Keep in mind Amd its 1 gen behind Nvidia when it comes to RT.

Upscaling is not native though.
