    i dont think people get that art is used to express ones self. these guys play guitar because they love to, no matter how they play it. playing fast does not mean theyre playing without emotion. just look at these guys - theyre enjoying playing and listening to eachother.

    @2ndviolinist I absolutely agree. In the first 8 measures we understood that these men can play fast. They have practiced. But art is an expression, not a demonstration. I was longing for a little breathing space in all of this riffing. Django played fast at times and at other times made the instrument sing, cry and talk to the audience. Yes, too much flash and not enough music for me.

    Only guitarists are ever accused of 'playing too fast'. Other instrumentalists, piano, violin, brass, woodwinds, are not accused of it.

    No he's not. That's just being sloppy en cocky. And halfway his first solo he looses track of the key they are playing in.
