Lol, great episode guys. Its great seeing normal blokes giving shit a go and dealing with the consequences in good humour. Keep going with the vids, its good stuff!
Supposed to drill the broken item out with a drill to a certain diameter for the easy out to get several turns on it before putting the easy out in. And NEVER hammer in an easy out.
That's snapped!! Interesting video boys & it's a pity the Truetrac had issues. I hope you guys & your families have a great Christmas. Thanks for all your content this year. It makes my Thursdays go quicker.
Hey guys , you have to plumb the line locker backwards!! When I fitted mine (B&M brand )to my VS it would bleed brake fluid to the rear brakes when switched on . Please check this ! I had to change mine around .
Get some rags around the pinion gear and flap wheel that pinion head down..and also flap wheel around the true trac centre where it was riding on...I did the same to my shortened VL 1 year later still works fine
Breaks gonna brake. Love watching your vids guys! Can't wait to come to the next Hactory meet, I missed the last one cos I had covid :( Keep on snapping!
@badham6557 1 second ago Weld a nut onto the broken fitting, heat around the broken fitting more than the fitting itself, spray a heap of lubricant in there, give the nut a couple taps then undo with a spanner/bar. Also that plug under the car for the line lock, put a deutsch plug on the it’s water proof to minimise green death
Word of the day Snap. G'day guys. That really sucked with the grease nipple snapping. Put it down to shit happens. So, thanks for sharing another great video. ✌️ Peace from Melbourne/Pakenham.
should of put a 9 inch in it, if your going to run more than 500hp beef up the bottom arms as they will bend, we bent ours in to a U on launch also change the bushes to Nolathane, we put in aluminum in ours
Yeah, that sucks.😐 I always drill my bleed nipples out until they nearly touch the threads, and then clean up with an undersized tap, or bend the remaining bits out with a pick.
You need to weld a nut to the broken nipple. The heat will loosen it up and the nut will give you more purchase. Also if you think you're going to snap an easy out off stop using it. I'm sure you now know why you don't want it snapped off in the job
@benjohnson7170 it's actually really easy. Put a washer with an internal diameter the same size as the nipple thread and weld that to the nipple then weld a 13mm nut to that weld on the washer. It'll come straight out. Don't be scared to get it red hot though
What a ‘Snappy’ experience….lol 😂 I think the plan to get Carls Diff to do the entire job is money well spent for reliability. Plus…it’s not your money lol 😂 Great video boys 👍🇦🇺 P.S Merry Christmas, stay safe and I look forward to the Summernats videos.
When I tried a line lock in the same configuration as you have, when the solenoid is on the pedal goes rock hard as no fluid can move to the rear brakes hence it doesn't allow the master to travel and hence push fluid to the front brakes. Well that was my experience anyhow. Hopefully it works out 👍
Yeh I thought the line lock was meant to go on the front brakes - slam the brake pedal and press line lock button, release the brake pedal and front brakes will stay locked on - Hence line locked in with pressure. When your done smoking the rears, release your line lock button...??
Why didn't the Watts linkage centralizing system become more popular, as in xe/xf Fords, that way ,when weight is added to the rear, the wheels stay in correct position ??????
How does the H scheme work in Victoria …. Stock? You guys are jeopardising the scheme and getting plates pulled. Cover your plate and pixilate any plate on cars that obviously don’t comply.
No it doesn't need the car to be stock, just legal and mostly original, this still has a 308 and isn't a turbo monster or something. There are lots of cars that should be engineered and on m plates though.
Had to drill out a fly wheel bolt once and snapped an ezyout out as well. Got these special (very expensive ) drill bits from a specialist shop and cant believe how easy it was to redrill the broken ezyout and eventually redrill the bolt and retap the thread. Was very lucky this time.
literally went through this a few months ago with a vn ss! "Snapped bleeder" on the same caliper and snapped the easy out. Drilled out and retapped the thread. I felt your pain haha. Keep it up boys love your work!
Aeroflow have just released a brake line shutoff valve designed specifically for disabling rear brakes but still allow fluid to flow back AF49-4080

Every 10 minute job is one broken bolt/screw/fitting away from a saga
That job is like the gift that keeps on giving!
Perfect way to start a working day. Keep it up boys

8.1k views in 1 day!!! You guys are killing it!
I've had brake bleeders snap-off at the base many times I've just welded on a nut the heat from the welder helps back it straight out 👌
Hey guys, you have installed the solenoid backwards, the way its installed now it will lock fluid in the rear brakes.
Any VB-VS solid axle caliper is the same blokes so many many wreckers will have one
Snapped all the way haha can't wait to see the party pack in action!
Got to love the easy outs😂 especially when they snap😢
Tinshed tv knows these defeat feelings...
Love the show guys keep up the great work. Snapped!!!
" It's a Camilleri Thing " Need to be a Sticker or a Shirt, Good Luck at Summernats and have a Great Xmas.
That’s an unlucky snap fellas! Also love Nathan’s t shirt, looks bloody sick would love to buy one 👌

Try welding a nut onto it so you can use a breaker bar and socket on it?
Breaks gonna brake. Love watching your vids guys! Can't wait to come to the next Hactory meet, I missed the last one cos I had covid :( Keep on snapping!
Fing Fiddle sticks on the bleed nipple and double on the easy out. Nothing easy going on there. Working on cars. Rewarding after the headaches....

9 inch is overkill in a light car. Plenty are flogging vl borgwarner diffs with great results
Yeah, that sucks.😐 I always drill my bleed nipples out until they nearly touch the threads, and then clean up with an undersized tap, or bend the remaining bits out with a pick.
great video, id be keen to hear what the tru track is like on the road for normal driving have heard mixed opions
Weld through a nut onto the bleeder, then you can get it out

Sheesh, possible. But blimey, probably want to get Cam's dad in with the Tig skills. It's tiny..
Yep spot on Craig!

I did warn you about those shims 😂😂

@@theadventuresoflucabenjihu2566 spot on, that's how they are intended to be installed..
Install it in reverse. Master to out side of solenoid. And in to caliper.
Nathan’s shirt 👌🏻
Unfortunate with the diff :(
Merry Xmas gent's
OK GUYS, Is that the Wild Violet XY on the trailer under the cover ??? 🤔🤔🤔🤐🤨🙏
When Carl was explaining the issue, is it a Ford pinion, Ford ring gear or both you need to swap out?
Why didn't the Watts linkage centralizing system become more popular, as in xe/xf Fords, that way ,when weight is added to the rear, the wheels stay in correct position ??????
It was a Ford thing. But el falcons had geometry issues with watts linkages too.
Poor bloke just wanted an LSD 😂
i swear by the bluepoint thresd extractor kit an swear at easy-outs
Snapshop 😜
What's the diff?
Thats whats good about cars , they always take the exact amout of time you think they will 😂😂
(☝️saracasm☝️)
Love ya work boys 👌🤠👍
why dont u guys have patreon
🍺👏🙄
Welcome to the five hour fuck fest the joy of motoring
How does the H scheme work in Victoria …. Stock? You guys are jeopardising the scheme and getting plates pulled. Cover your plate and pixilate any plate on cars that obviously don’t comply.
That like telling the police all your modifications, plus I'm not sure if what they done is legal
No it doesn't need the car to be stock, just legal and mostly original, this still has a 308 and isn't a turbo monster or something. There are lots of cars that should be engineered and on m plates though.
Well there will be one part that is strong on the car , ford parts 😅🤣😂
Easy outs are so good yet they become the most devilish tool when they snap!

Ti performance never gave you a hat to have a photo taken... Or I guess my bribe wasnt big enough now you've hit the big time
Ford to the rescue again
