    I really miss these buses. Rip greyhound 102dl3’s. You’ll forever be missed and remembered. Wish greyhound kept them around a bit longer.

      There was no need for those buses to continue on in the fleet... Most of them had over 3 million miles on them..

    As a former employee of 14.5 years, these sounds are very comforting. Reminds me of not only driving, but all the endless hours cushioning(riding from one assignment to the next.)

      I miss riding on the DL's. Especially the ones with the ZF... The Prevost are nice, but I prefer the MCI

      Also, some nights I'll just listen to various audio recordings of buses to sleep.

    I really miss these days of greyhound, especially when they used to wear the pilot type uniforms with the hat.

      No, I don't ride Greyhound these days... My body has literally been destroyed by those buses. So I fly everywhere now.. The only time I'm really on buses now is if I'm driving them

      He is correct about Prevost being the only one with Volvo engine

    I agree, but it isn't just greyhound. A lot of vehicles with that transmission have that problem I've noticed.

    • @joshalex93
      @joshalex93  9 месяцев назад

      It's not the transmission at all.. All that's needed is a filter on the REI system and that noise will go away..

    @PAHSB1 Experience mechanic have told me that Greyhound does not care about their manintenance of these beautiful coach buses and this sound could be corrected with proper maintenance of the transmission. Whoever is the executive in charge of maintenance at Greyhound should be FIRED ASAP!!!!!!!! This noise goes into the passenger cabinet and is distrubing!!!!! Shame on Greyhound!!

      This is how the transmission should sound if it is working properly... Their just louder because they have more moving parts, doesn't mean anything is wrong with it.

      The loud noise you hear when its on the highway are the axles anyway

    • @joshalex93
      @joshalex93  6 лет назад

      That whirring pitch is from the microphone..

  • @PAHSB1
    @PAHSB1 13 лет назад

    What is that loud whirring noise?

    • @joshalex93
      @joshalex93  6 лет назад

      One loud noise is the engine brake, the other is the axles...

      Greyhounds early DL3's came had that noise fresh out the box, thats just the way it was. I like it.
