This is great to fall asleep to. Reminds me of numerous two-hour hauls from Glens Falls NY to Plattsburgh NY, back in the day, when the family had only one car, and it was me and my mom and my sister Celine on a Greyhound bus, going to visit Grandma's house ... for a vacation of two-plus glorious weeks on the shore of Lake Champlain!

I remember the Greyhound Mc 12 with large green tinted windows. My favorite trips will always be on these buses. Detroit to Sikeston Missouri. Great memories back in the 80's. Also, Detroit to Chicago ❤

Man you have to admit. There arent many buses out there that have the 6V92TA/Allison HT740 setup that are in good condition. I remember when Neoplan sent the first batch of AN440s with this setup, they ran them endlessly on deadhead routes and I-95 express routes and then most of them had transmission trouble. Then the Allison HT-747 was created to counter this problem.

  • @demetreusarm

In the 80s i used to like hearing them gathering speed on the on ramp and especially getting off the off ramp hearing that allison downshifting at a high pitch. Shoutout to the drivers who made these machines SING!

Back In The Late 70's To Mid 80's: " Federal Regulations Allow Only Cigarette Smoking On Board, And Only In The Rear Of The Coach". No Pipe's, Cigars, Or Those "Funny Cigarettes" Were Permitted. That Was An Absolute No No. The Seats Were Very Comfortable With The Tan Suede Colors. Those Were Definitely The Days. Where's A Time Machine When You Really Need One?

It's a little Bit too loud. We have in Germany New Technology based Motors with Euro 6 engine. This is for long distances so good and very quiet. Because im not arrogant, but our european busses looks beatifuler and have future skins. All our busses are designed like a house or an iphone. I could not sleep in busses with such a loud engine. Please watch The Videos from Gumble444 and lock for the European busses. They are very quiet.
