- The local sheriff becomes suspicious when a widow becomes the recipient of a huge inheritance after her husband is officially declared dead. He is unmoved by her claims that her husband vanished after walking into a field, and is certain that she is hiding something.

But Aussies write it that way because of the British, where we write it our way is because of the British. Lol
US citizens did not want to be like "them" so we are opposite or different.
The Revolutionary War made the British evacuate in 1783, and since they couldn't keep us, in 1788 they took people/criminals to Australia with British rules.
It stuck.
The only difference is... you all kept their influence. We tried not to.
But you did just get rid of them in 1942, so give it time. 😊
We didn't want to be British or have their rules, so
we drive on the opposite side of the road, we changed many of our spellings and made them our own,.... and we write the full date as month, day, and year. 😂😂😂
