I agree - nothing like vintage all leather Coach. I have a true vintage Court in black and love it. I paid $80 for mine on the secondhand market and it was in pristine condition. It is a very well made bag and I’m glad I picked it up. TFS!🌷
Idk if the new coach bags are made with solid brass but that’s something I like about the vintage bags. I recently ordered a vintage coach court bag in camel.
I love the court bag, I own 4 of them,in chalk,brown,black & navy. I also have my eye on the cassie as well. COACH says the cassie is an update to the court bag. Thanks for sharing, I have been checking often for the court bag in red, camel & olive, as well. When it was first introduced in 1989, the court retailed for 179.00 USD.

The Court bag is my 1st true love though, Since i own LV pochette metis, I am familiar with the set up of the 3 pockets, i have to say i like the original design of the Court a bit more,its not as fussy, when packing an unpacking my bag.😃

I was wondering how can you tell the reedition of the court bag in early 10’s you mentioned vs the originals from the 70’s 80’s? I know a lot of the court bags have the number 9870 is that the vintage number or the reissue number? If anyone knows please let me know!
The bag is sooo beautifull.. I just already purchased the exact same colour, and i wonder, Which country does your bag made in? Mine said it was made in hungary.. at first i thought every court 9870 always made in US..
I have got my Cassie. Love it. Would like to get in fee different colours. Love so much . BUT I bought vintage version as well for 54€ just today. So excited! I am sure I will need to clean it and condition but it is not the problem. Really looking forward to it! 😍😍😍
I’ve had a coach court bag for a couple of years, but it’s quite a bit smaller in capacity than the Cassie . I love glove tanned leather but it does mark and lose its colour - I prefer the pebbled leather of the Cassie and its my next purchase . I also disagree with you about the price - there’s a lot more detail on the three sections of the Cassie, it’s lined, the hardware is far more substantial than the court and the shoulder strap is adjustable and much nicer . I therefore feel it’s a good price. Don’t forget that the vintage coach bags were pricey at the time they were produced! They’re just cheap now because they are old. I’ve got several vintage ( inc a saddle bag)and lots of newer ones ( drifter,nomads, Harley’s , totes and a lovely convertible Faye backpack. ) There’s room in my collection for the old and new but I wear my new ones more. It’s silly to compare glove tanned leather to pebbled leather in my opinion as it’s like apples and oranges - like comparing Chanel caviar to their lambskin .

The Cassie has a lot of glazing issues. The Court doesn’t have that problem. I’ve get a small collection of Courts and I love them. 😍
