This was honestly my favorite russ. When he was on the wizards he would just have the weirdest statlines (ex: 13 points, 21 rebounds 17 assists) or (20 points 22 assists 13 rebounds). He was pure chaos, but it worked when the team was healthy. I miss number 4 😕

as a wizards fan i feel like i’m the only one who actually loved this team.
i also loved the 19-20 team even though we were terrible since beal was electric, the crowd was actually into it (omg beal 50+ vs milwaukee was wild), and it was right after the new broadcasting cast and court floor.
i loved the 2020-21 westbrook team since we started out horrible, 17-32, and then came all the way back to be the 8 seed!!
i really had high hopes for the 2021-22 and i was sad to see him go but at the time i thought the westbrook trade made us a lot better and was excited for our new guys. the team started out 10-3 and i was so so happy but then things kind of feel apart. every once in a while i look back at these times and the highlights also because it makes me reminiscent of these years and how outside of basketball these were the best years of my life. man i miss this.

They didn't put Russ on the ball and let him fly and feed Bron and AD.
Instead they reduced his usage rate and tried to turn him into a shooting guard....😁
Plus we played way too slow for our personnel.
With Russ and the youngsters we had, we needed to push the pace more and play more up tempo.
The defense, like The Wizards defense was bad anyway, so playing slower didn't help the defense and probably hurt the potential of the offense.
Russ always has his struggles.
I mean here he is near the end of his career and he still hasn't improved his mid range and his free throw % has declined severely but man i loves me some Russell Westbrook!
I just love the way this man attacks defenses!

Lucky if they win chips as benchwarmers later on. But russ has done something that will never be forgotten. As Broussard said the story of basketball will now be incomplete without him now.

Russ is like no other. If he sees the passing option, he takes it. If he sees the opportunity for an and-1, he takes it. If he sees an opportunity to shoot, then he takes it. Russ is a superstar, one of my most favourite PGs of all time 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I like how he changed his game to fit on the clippers but when he was on Washington he was averaging a 22pt triple double, leading the league in assists and they were in the playoffs. And I still see flashes of his athleticism, like Russ never lost his touch.

I truly cannot understand Westbrook haters! The man pours out his heart and soul in every single game, for whatever team he plays! He has been spectacular in the second half of this season. It took him couple of months to get adjusted to a new team, but since, Jesus, he is on fire!
It’s simple, they see his playoff exits of the last 3 seasons yet what they don’t know is that he has been injured during all of those. Torn quad, covid, broken finger, torn ligaments in hands/knee, 2 knee surgeries, etc all within the last 3 post seasons only. But nobody knows that because they don’t actually keep up with him as a player. They see the final result and judge without context. It’s nothing but pure ignorance.
