Thank you, thank you, thank you, for bringing us along on your cruise!... I know you feel like you're just waffling on, but it's way more for your invested members. It's a comedy, a travel log, a vicarious vacation, and a ride along with someone who shares a lifestyle we have in common. Looking forward to whatever gentle adventures you have in store for us. Bon Voyage! 🎉❤ Edit: As an artist, who paints non-traditional art, I would suggest that sometimes modern or abstract art doesn't tell you how to feel. And it helps if whilst you're looking at it, or your in it, to just see how it makes you feel and what it means to you, rather than it being obvious like... yeah, flowers... nice. And nothing you feel is inherently wrong. Your experience is valid. It does ask a little more from you, but that's kind of part of it. And hopefully, you experience something specifically different than you've felt before. Sorry for becoming professor Kev, but there can be real value in the experience of making sense within yourself of something that doesn't give you all the information. ❤
Whilst a cruise is my idea of pure hell I bizarrely absolutely enjoy watching your adventure. The gym looks wicked! Greetings from a sub in Australia x
Joel, it was so sweet of you Keegan and Peter to show us the relaxing time you had on this excursion. Sorry we didn’t get to see Anthony, he must be shy and I totally get that. Looks like a good time was had by all. Thanks for letting us share the experience. Welcome home!💕👍
Peter! I’m am putting in my humble but fervent desire for Peter to start a RUclips channel. I don’t know him but his spirit and personality makes me certain that I would want him to be a British bestie and we’d gab, laugh and spill the tea and copious flutes of Veuve Clicquot Champagne during a fabulous soirée with friends he planned at his house.❤❤❤
The scoobie doo or something like that, I remember them! I used to do that as a kid all the time! Peter is so much fun and truly seems like a lovely person , do tell him that Joel. Thank you for sharing your holiday trip with us, even though you didn’t have to.
Seems like you all had a relaxing time away. As always, I enjoy “tagging along” on your journeys-whether they be something like this, or running to the store and making supper. Hope you and Keegan have a lovely week 🤍
I can't believe you came to my city, Bilbao! I actually live in Leioa which is just next to Getxo, where the port is , so I actually walk around the seaside quite often. hope you enjoyed it
I remember going to the YMCA site at my old elementary school during the summer and doing keychains. We just called them keychains, never knew until now they're called gimps.
thanks for sharing your cruise. Golly, I'd gain too much weight on that boat. Every time you turn around, there's a new place to eat. Enjoyed your walks through the cities. Old, but interesting.. Hope you all had a great time!!
Joel, to help with your seasickness, take a dose of Non-Drowsy Dramamine every day that you are cruising in the morning. It helps, wonders!! It's a great preventative measure to curtail seasickness.
Please tell Keegan I am 70 but back in the day worked out at Hacksaw Jim Duggan's gym. Wrestlers would come in all the time and had huge upper bodies but chicken legs. He has the best legs ever.I love those behind scenes of him. I did not not who Anthony was so watched a bit of of his soap. Do people recognise him on the ship? I love Peter. Such a sweet guy. Anyway, my ex and his girlfriend work out at the foo foo gym so I went to the muscle gym and it was the best thing ever. Sadly it closed when Jim moved. I'm coming to the UK in October after early voting for Kamala. We are taking the ferry from the UK to Rotterdam at the end of trip and eurostar back to London.
Lovely ship, and lovely ports as well, I loved the architecture of the first stop, & that lighthouse area was stunning. You mentioning moving to France and redoing a castle reminded me of that tv show “Escape to the Chateau” with Dick and Angel. Did you ever see that? Thanks for taking us along, glad you enjoyed yourself. ❤
Hiya Joel, I've been on a cruise twice, the first one wasn't that good, but the second one was called Tomson's Island, that liner no longer exists, on the second cruise we went from Palma (Majorca),Tunisia, Naples (Italy), Rome (Italy), Monaco, Montpellier (France), Barcelona (Spain), Menorca (Spain) and then back to Palma, from Palma to Tunisia was a day at sea, from Rome to Monaco was a day at sea, it was a 2 week holiday, was £1000 all inclusive, I'm glad You and Keegan enjoyed your holiday, this is Choppy
Terrible motion sickness over here. Joel, have you tried the scopolamine patch that goes behind your ear? Each patch lasts three days before you need a new one and it doesn't make you crazy drowsy or have dry mouth the way some oral motion sickness meds do. In the US the scopolamine patch requires a doctor's prescription. For plane trips, I just do Dramamine and doze but for a cruise that's multiple days and you want to be alert and present, the patch has been great.
Have you considered doing a river cruise? Many years ago we did a river cruise on the Danube River...stopped at Munich, Vienna, Budapest, and other cities. A very enjoyable cruise.
The church in Soulac (Basilique Notre-Dame-de-la-fin-des-Terres) is in the Romanesque style; there are a couple of famous Romanesque churches in the centre of France (Auvergne). Still mineral water is "eau plate" and fizzy is "eau pétillante", so to order (politely) you say "De l'eau plate / pétillante s'il vous plait".
Ah man, Joel, I thought you took your coffee black like myself?? Disappointing! (lol I'm kidding, it's all good!) I take my coffee like I take my women: short, dark and strong 🙂 Looks like a nice trip, but I would rather go on P&O Cruises, on one of their UK Flag vessels: Britannia, Arvia, or Iona. Virgin is Flag of Convenience, which means they registered the ship in a 3rd world country, so they can pay the crew 300 USD/month and not give them breaks and meals in accordance with British labor law. As Virgin is a British company, it's disappointing that they did not flag their ships in Britain. That aside, those definitely look like good ports to visit! Having been on submarines in the USN, I miss the adventure of going to sea, but want to do it as a civilian next time. 🙂
The Dog sculpture in front of the Guggenheim is called Puppy. It was supposed to be a temporary sculpture but the people of Bilbao fell in love 💗 with Puppy and bought him.
FYI - When I go on a cruise, I usually take Dramamine or seasick medicine every day a week before the cruise, so it's in my system, just incase of those rough sea days. And usually take it at night, right before bed.
The foreign language education in British secondary schools is really, really bad. I once went to a comprehensive school in Whitby for a month as an exchange student (I am Belgian) and was thrown out of the French class because I had to continuously correct the teacher. Her grammar was horrible and her pronunciation was laughable. After that, I was thrown out of the German class, too. I was a know-it-all brat at that time. It made me quite popular with the other students! They thought it was a hoot (it really was LOL).
Poor baby had to drink real milk because they didn't have oat milk. What a shame. I would have gone without the milk. Oh wait, I drink real milk! I would have been fine!

That ship is so unexpectedly clean/organized and I love it, mesmerized by it tbh.
It’s a really lovely ship! I worry that when I eventually do another cruise liner that it won’t be as nice as Virgin!
12:12 The look on Joels face while Keegan was busy explaining his interpretation of art. Priceless and so darned cute at the same time! 😂
Peter is lovely. A really fun sounding guy. 👍

How fun! Really enjoyed your soundtrack choices on this one as well. Cheers! 🥂
Joel, your face when Keegan was waxing on about Monet versus modern art! 😂😂 looks like you had a lovely trip.
I love this episode so much, thank you so much for sharing!👍🥰🙏
Looks like you guys had a great time and loved seeing Eva at the end of your blog. She’s so sweet.
This was lovely. Thanks Joel. Great to see you all having a good time. And looks like a chill vibe for the whole of it. Great buildings too.
Thanks, Joel! Lovely trip!

The town looks very pretty and historical, you appear to be having a good time which what holiday is all about . 😊
19:38 OMG, you evoked such a memory! I bought my first Scoobies from London when I was 15 years old. I was obsessed! 🤣”
Keegan is so tall I thought he might hit his head on the ships interior. 😮
Beautiful cruise with your loved ones thanks for sharing your time. ~Cara ❤
The scoobie doo or something like that, I remember them!
I used to do that as a kid all the time!
Peter is so much fun and truly seems like a lovely person , do tell him that Joel.
Thank you for sharing your holiday trip with us, even though you didn’t have to.
Very fun vlog! Thanks for taking us with you! So interesting to see cities in Spain and France that aren't your "typical" touristy places. Always ❤
Flippin heck! That is a NICE ship!!! Amazing. And such nice scenery and you wandered about. ❤️
Seems like you all had a relaxing time away. As always, I enjoy “tagging along” on your journeys-whether they be something like this, or running to the store and making supper. Hope you and Keegan have a lovely week 🤍
Keegan is keeping his "figure" intact lucky you Joel 😮
We call that gimp my sister was crazy for it loved seeing peter,he's fun!
Cracks me up how Anthony is always so far ahead of the rest of you - power walker!
Glad all had fun and got to relax. I loved watching the cruise thanks !!
Wonderful scenery. Love seeing all of you. Looks like you all had a good time. I enjoyed this video. 😊❤
Thank you for the video Joel. Appreciated!

In the US the scoobies are called gimp. They were very popular in summer camp.

Enjoyed seeing your travels. You’ve have given me the travel bug again. ❤

I'm glad you got some sunny weather. Although the buildings were lovely, the skies were looking gloomy.
"De l'eau plate" or "de l'eau non gazeuse" is still water. I'm so glad you got to visit a pretty French village. J'adore la France!
Great video - nice to see the local towns
You should apply to be on Channel 4 Escape to the Chateau DIY. The production company buys you a chateau, I think I’ve got that right.
Joel, to help with your seasickness, take a dose of Non-Drowsy Dramamine every day that you are cruising in the morning. It helps, wonders!! It's a great preventative measure to curtail seasickness.
At 21:50 that is an American disco song from the 1970s. 😊

Thanks for filming parts of your cruise.
Joel, try lactose free milk in your coffee, same taste and won hurt your tummy.
I Love ❤ the architecture 😊
Have you considered doing a river cruise? Many years ago we did a river cruise on the Danube River...stopped at Munich, Vienna, Budapest, and other cities. A very enjoyable cruise.
Joel have you ever considered doing a European river cruise? I know it’s a bit older crowd but they go to some interesting cities.

Eat a green apple 🍏 to help stop feeling queasy on the ship!!

Asterix is definitely French, not Spanish, originally appearing in Pilote and written by René Goscinny and drawn by Albert Uderzo.
This was playing in the background and I thought I heard Arnold... No? Only me?
“Eau plate” is still water, hopefully you figured that out! Bonne chance!
you need do Disney cruise. and alaska cruise.

Love that jacket you’re wearing at 13:29. Where’s it from?
What time of year was this trip? Just curious because of the weather.
But did the sea get rough on you that evening/night at the Bay of Biscay? You can't just leave us with half of the story arc...! 🤪😜
Too bad that you weren’t there for the Running of the Bulls!
Wait the Guggenheim is in New York!! 😅
Ther is more than one Guggenheim museum dear !! 😊
@@terrycook1513 There is also more than one “E” in the word “There”!

I'm confused isn't Bilbao Basque?
Basque Country is a region in Spain.
I don't know why you guys don't do an Atlantis cruise.
Not our scene! Couldn’t think of anything worse!
Have a lovely time
The church is just plain. Not very ornate. But it does have classic lines, doesn't it? Still very pretty

You don’t need to speak French. You can just let the funky music so the talking talking😮😊
I absolutely hate Modern Art😊
Agree, modern art leaves me uninspired and wanting.
BTW I hate the show 😊

What's with the attitude, there's no need
This is the vibe I miss from Europe 7:48
