I have four bikes, I’ve ridden many bikes, I’m 66. My M109R.....is THE best bike I’ve ridden. It does everything.....cruisin’. Turn the wick up.....hang on.
I rode one of these at a Suzuki demo in Fresno, CA a few weeks ago. The pillowy soft suspension, the slick transmission, the fueling off idle is amazing, the luxurious of the ride is second to none at any price. You don't need electronics when you get the basics this right. People want to talk with you when you ride a "9" because it's visually an original.
Hey, I recognize the scenery. That’s my neck of the woods. I travel rt 68 on my daily rides. Young’s Dairy is one of my stops. I’m 73 and I can remember when Young’s was a small building where they sold whole milk. How times have changed. I ride a 17 Victory Octane. Oh what fun it is to ride!
I went from a 550 to my 9. My first couple times on it I was absolutely terrified. This being first full year of riding it I’m figuring it out more and absolutely love it. You can cruise or crank 6k and let her sail. Highly recommend it but until comfortable on it take it easy and get a feel of it or you’ll fly off the seat backwards
I'm 6'2, 225, 36 inch inseam. Was debating if this would be big enough for longer rides. Your video is the only one I found explaining the comfort of it, thank you. About to test ride one!
@@WoodyRides - there is actually a brand new left over 2019 M109R B.O.S.S (Black/Red) at my local dealership for $10,999 that I am looking at. If I trade in my current 13 Honda Shadow Areo, I can probably get it down to $7,999 or so.
Not good for first bike, too much power to start off. This bike must be respected for the power. Beautiful but, not for first time riders, if you live your life.
You ride the bull by feel and ear. Rpm and gear indicator gives you an idea of speed. Speedo is about useless. Remove the stock 240 tire put on 260 for better cornering. Give it a healthy push on the gear shift. No wimpy shifts , just like muscling it into curves . Very deliberate inputs are surprisingly rewarded. It’s a twin rumbling and vibrations are inherent.
Thanks for this ride! I have the M-90 and it is not far off from the 109 in performance! They are HIGH REV twins for sure! After 11 years (2009) it never gets old (O: With the optional gel seat, it can be comfy for hours!, enjoy ...
@@ShinkuGouki I’ve ridden all three. My pops owned an m50, then went up to the 90. The power difference is massive between the two. I have the 109. Straight up, if you really think the m50 has balls you haven’t ridden many bigger cc bikes. The 50 is weak as hell but power and speed ain’t what it was made for. The 90 will smash a 50 and my 109 walks my pops’ 90 which is ten years newer than my 109. Bottom line is the 50 is right at 800 cc. That’s small and it’s unfair to even compare it to the 90 or 109.
I really hate when cruiser manufacturers make a low seat height bike with the pegs so far forward that a shorter rider can flat foot it, but not effectively ride it. Especially since this bike is just calling my name.
Try being 6'3, they make adventure bikes so tall they seem great, but the height between seat and pegs is too short. I default to cruisers cos I can stretch out
Struggling between this an the m90 BOSS, would be buying brand new to get the 5 year warranty and the 90 comes in at about $5K less Canadian. Thoughts? I just keep reading the m109R transmission is shit, not because it's clunky but because it slips and can fail completely costing $3K plus to fix. I hate that they haven't yet realized how stupid it is to locate the RPM in a better line of sight than the speedo--who makes that decision, nobody likes this. Just FYI these bikes are extremely customizable! There are so many aftermarket products for the Bully's, this one has the most.
