Synopsis:
Adopted as an orphan, Fu Yao served as a slave for the Xuan Yuan sect in the Taiyuan Kingdom. After a series of tragedies, she journeyed across the lands, searching to lift the curse that blighted her life. Along the way, she meets the Crown Prince of Tianquan, Zhang Sun Wu Ji, and falls in love with him. After her death she was the only woman to ever be given a place of honour in the private mausoleum of the Shang Dynasty and then, over the following generations, she was worshipped as the goddess of war, acquiring the legendary status she has today...

I have watched so many wuxia and xianxia dramas that I am now dreaming in Mandarin. This ranks in my top 3. Superbly cast, epic story with compelling eternal sweetness and agony all rolled into one. My only regret is not watching it sooner. Xiėxiė from Australia

@CarolsCurrentObsession Yes and no. There is bittersweetness but they are eternally together. The ending shows their original purpose for going down to protect the people (he will accompany and protect her at all costs) and, I guess, the place where they return to together.

Watch at your own discretion. This story I give it a 7/10 simply because of the ending. I won’t go much into details for any first timers just don’t be shocked that the ending is not satisfactory for what they endure during this entire series. You don’t need to skip because it is still worth the watch. Ending does feel rushed maybe there was not enough time but all of the actors really did a fantastic job. Great job as always.

There was a modern chinese drama where there are three couples they were friends..the fl went for study in abroad her bf waited for her..n he had bitter relationship with his brother who was bf of the fl's friend..nd the drama has also a second season where she returns and surprise him I can't remember d name plz somebody tell d name..the three female friends ..one of them had very shrt hair she was like a Tom boy and one actor was a painter
