visas will be country specific. In my case, I did not need one for the length of time/things I was doing there, but if you're not Canadian you should check with your countries regulations regarding South Korean travel. The language barrier was super manageable. Most of the time the people there spoke and understood English really well, and when we didn't understand things we used a translation app to fill the gaps so it worked out :)
