I am in Canada for 26 years now. Have driven and owned almost every premium American and German cars and SUVs. Peugeot cars are not available in North American market. I got to say that i did not see any car/crossover/SUV more beautiful in the front than Peugeot 5008 in black. It looks like a jewel in the front and behind. I am retired now and plan to stay in Pakistan for six months every year (Oct-March), cause i am sick and tired of Canadian winters. Once in Pakistan, i will definitely buy 5008 model at any cost and waiting time. Insha'Allah. 😍During the wait, Honda Accord or Hyundai Sonata will serve the purpose.
There’s a reason why Peugeot does not sell in North America (anymore). Take a hint ……
@@icelandic_mughal2223 the American market has historically been dominated by larger, domestic car manufacturers, who have had a strong foothold in the market for many years. Peugeot has also been known for making smaller and more fuel-efficient vehicles which may not have been as appealing to American buyers as larger vehicles.
I am using 5008 since 5years and it is a family car and for three reasons I like this car, drive wise, fuel wise and boot space. Looking forward to see when they will release in Pakistan

Please do not buy these French cars. Remember what the French president did with regard to that cartoon. Also, the French are making it illegal to wear a hijab. DON'T BUY THESE CARS. There are plenty better cars.

I was big fan of honda cars as of few options to select in the past here in Pakistan, but after buying, driving and using peugeot 2008, I confidently said that Peugeot is definitely a game changer in pakistan auto industry. Many times I thought there should be a form or a blog where I can share all about my thoughts and experience for peugeot. I think this is the right place.
* Honestly, starting from its exterior that is outstanding, It was a very new experience for me that wherever I went and passed by people turned around and looked at the car in awe as it was truly something to behold, this has never happened to me in any other car I kept until now. It gives you a really pleasant feeling 😇.
* Interior is remarkable. From its seats to the beauty of its very own digital 3d layers of speedo meter. Panoramic sunroof to Peugeot i-Cockpit, gives you really fresh and new feel coming from any car to peugeot.
* Engine performance with 1.2 turbo is mind blowing. Quick response of turbo is really impressive with tiny 1.2L engine capacity. I never got such performance from a 1.8 liter engine before.
* handling on most critical and dangerous roads curve is not a big deal with highly smooth responsive steering never see such a soft and highly sensitive steering before. So far I have driven 25 thousand kms mostly long routes, driving the car is really addicting, even after 700-800 kms in one go there is no signs of fatigue or tiredness.
In short, I have bought more comfort for myself than a car.
Some things that might not matter after so many features that are annoying at first but you forget these things once you are charmed by its beauty, ease of driving and many other day to day experience you got in your peugeot journey.
1. Noises coming from inside the cabin on a rough road. Previously I used Honda Civic X and Grande, both have impressive noiseless cabin so i was so annoyed in the starting days after bought Peugeot. (I think its because of local assembling, lighter frame or excessive use of cheap plastic by local assembler, CBU variant is more silent and noiseless cabin than local assemble, they should improve overall build quality.)
2-Rear seat not spacious again as compared to civic and Grande, seems like made for only 2 passengers.
3-Small trunk size (which is very disturbing at times, and I hope this problem will be solved in 5008)
4- Engine oil can be found only from certain Peugeot dealers but plus point is that by changing the engine oil once, you can easily drive the car for 10 to 15 thousand kilometers.
5-Non-availability of spare parts. Poor but costly maintenance service.
6- Missing adaptive cruise control feature. I prefer cruise control on long routes and peugeot's cruise control is addictive but the lack of an adaptive cruise control is very noticeable.
7- Poor paint quality.
Despite all these issues I am deeply in love with peugeot from heart to soul and am looking forward to the upcoming peugeot 5008 when it will officially launched in Pakistan and I will shift from 2008 to 5008.
Drove 5008 for one week and fell in love with the car, I couldn’t buy it because I already bought a different car two weeks ago. But believe me that SUV is very comfortable and premium to drive.

Come on, Try the foreign variants of Honda and Toyota, Peugeot has just 3 cylinder engines which aren't that great in terms of performance and meanwhile Japanese have state of the art engines available in Middle east and North America

Is it just me but does anyone else think that engine displacement of 1.6 is a little low for a vehicle of this size...? I mean, i have a 1.7liter engine in my 2005 civic and am thinking of swapping a k20 2liter engine...so i am asking anyone who has used these crossovers, do they feel underpowered?
