I was in Bath on Thursday and went to your favourite charity shop - but never saw anything good on that day - but will keep going back! But when i wss in one of the Bath charity shops - the lady and a colleague were pricing up items - and was just making up the prices - they knew if the brand was good quality - and asking each other 'this is such and such, should we sell it for £18, £25,...price just kept going up. It does not matter anymore that it is second hand. Also you guys are so entertaining.
I once had to have a go at a charity shop manager for speaking to a volunteer in the most awful way in front of customers. I was just browsing the books and was appalled by her attitude. I think the manager was stunned and so was the volunteer!
Austin! I remembered you channels name! And I ended up finding some nice things to take back to Brooklyn! I ended up finding some cheaper places in bath. Been enjoying your videos even though I only can understand about half y'all are saying! ..🤠. Keep up the good work.
Soooooooo cool! Hi Jed Glad you found some bits👌🏻 I’m afraid even the subtitles don’t get us! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 thanks for watching and let’s us know how it is in Brooklyn 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Best charity shops are in Clifton Bristol ❤ there are four and there are other vintage shops. 😊 you have to pay for parking and the zone fees. I always park on the Downs and walk in. It’s free and it’s a nice walk and you get five hours. 😊
A manager served me and got really annoyed with a volunteer who priced the item i brought reallly low. She was swearing and talking about her to another worker, It was very awkward!
My top 2 charity shop 'internal beef'... Bickering about a volunteer who didn't colour code the rails, apologising to customers cause they were not good at it. and Every lady in volunteering or working moaning about the male manager, when he wasn't there, fed up with what he wanted to do with re-structuring. 🤣
Last month I overheard 2 charity shop workers talking about another volunteer who I know has mental additional needs or disabilities. They called her lazy & rude. I had to step in and say (politely) that they shouldn't have this conversation in public or at all. They rely on volunteers so it's so mean to be talking about them like that
Another work of beauty my doves ❤️Quick question on Vestiaire if I may? I get constant “Drop the Price Advice” on every single item I list. Do you get the same and How do you deal with it? I find it super annoying tbh Can you turn it off? Or do you just ignore it? Thanks guys you’re my sprit animals 🤩😂xxxx
It’s simple. You sell stuff Vestiaire gets paid. So encouraging you to drop a price to below market value is of course going to sell your item quicker. It also in most cases evokes the thought process ‘ wow I just sold something, I’ll list more’ especially people with out bottom lines. Vestiaires suggested prices aren’t market value, they are averages of low quick sell prices. We simply ignore them. And still amazingly manage to sell multiple items a day/week.
Sly eBay's lol yes absolutely 100% and they make you feel shit as there on to you straight away. Takes one to know one. There are rare diamonds that don't care but the majority are...... their shops are pretty obvious too when there run by one.
