    I am actually building an S14 with one of these engines. (3B currently) Started many years ago like you, lol. Absolutely love your build, great inspiration to get mine finished! Love seeing the progression on this though, Great work dude!

    Don't apologise for the gearbox mount. It took design and engineering to make it work and most people would be glad to have such a amazing setup. I personally love listening to you talking about the development of certain parts and the direction that you are willing to push things outside of the box. You are truly the definition of if you never try you never learn. Onwards and upwards Darren 👏

      Thank you so much. We will be lowering the engine and gearbox at some point so the gearbox mount will be reworked then

      Ya but that in itself makes them desirable as they are so rare. If they were common then it wouldnt be the same

      I would have to find the original order for the cams to give you specs and it was a long time ago... Basically it was the largest cam for a forced induction engine that cat cams made

    I personally agree with sticking to the Audi 5 pot , kinda makes it more authentic even though it’s not yet making the power you want .
    Agree with the EGT sensors too and for what they cost it far outweighs an engine catastrophe.
    Maybe try mounting your alternator off the back of the gearbox or rear diff , quite a few race cars do that and maybe reduce the rpm of the alternator too .
    The colour scheme and graphics suit it very well .
    Just a quick technical question on drift regs ..
    I’m building an E36 GTR for racing but may do a drift spec one too , do the regs permit double wishbone conversion on the front , instead of Mcphearson struts? ( shock mounting on the bottom arm and original inner wing location ) .

      Unfortunately we spend a lot of time idling between runs so a drivetrain mounted alternator i dont think is a great idea for us as i like to see that solid 14v all the time
      99% of drift series do not allow you to change the original suspension design

    do you not worry about rubber blocking the rad without any shroud?

      No its not an issue. Every now and then you make run your hand across the rad to brush some rubber off but its a lot less than you think

    My favourite car was meant to get a spin but the next day the rain came and no wipers I don't like Audis but this one I do it's the only one I like what a car
