I've been wondering this exact same thing. the Prophet is always described as being a very humble and pious man completely dedicated to Allah. So he probably would have rejected being glorified in the manner he is today. The fact that Hadith was not recorded until after his death kind of implies that he rejected the practice of keeping a record of his every word and action just so that others could imitate him. He was just a normal human being like everyone else and he portrayed himself as such.
A very weird thing happens when someone accomplishes amazingly great achievements but remains extremely humble; It makes other people recognize and celebrate them even more than usual because they appear so self-effacing and gracious despite their success.
Although modern Muslims are not nearly as bad as Christians plastering the image of Jesus to glorify him, it is eerily similar to how highly we speak of the prophet to glorify him. It really is borderline idolization and the prophet would have rejected such constant treatment.
For some reason humans just can't stop themselves from placing other humans on pedestals.

I appreciate that you’re trying to sway people away from the overemphasis on Hadith, especially since nowadays we hear a lot of people saying that the Hadith is equal to the Quran.
Having said that, Allaah (S.W.T.) asks us in the Quran to send blessings on the prophet (Surah Al-Ahzab). Also, Allaah (S.W.T.) says that no one can intercede but by HIS permission. Lastly, I don’t think anyone believes that the Prophet hears your invocations of blessings to him. But Allaah (S.W.T.) knows.
Let’s be honest in our discourses.

Peace. It is a understood that when the term Nabi (prophet) is used in the Quran towards Muhammad, it applies to when he was alive. For instance in 49:2 it commands the people not to raise their voice over the voice of the prophet. Obviously this can only apply while the prophet is alive. Nabi is also used in the verse you referenced, 33:56, so this was a commandment for the people of that time. It is worth noting that this verse also says to "greet the prophet" again another sign showing that this verse applied to only when he was alive. Additionally, if we look at 9:99 we see that spending in the cause of God is a form of Salawat for the messenger. So this shows that the word Salawat in these contexts mean to help and support the prophet while he was alive for him to fulfill his mission rather than sending blessings. That said, even if we say Salawat is to send blessings, it is a hard pill to swallow to think that God was commanding the believers to perpetually be sending blessings to the prophet, when the description of the believer is one who glorifies God constantly just a few verses before.
[33:41] O you who believe, you shall remember/mention GOD frequently.
[33:42] You shall glorify Him day and night.

But, in the Quran Allah حئی و قیوم Himself says:
ان اللہ و ملائکتہ یصلون علی النبی یا ایہام الذین آمنو صلو علیہ وسلم تسلیما۔
Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم is the living Islam. He صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم brought us the living Quran. No one worships the Prophet. Sending blessings to the Prophet is a duty on all Muslims because God Himself and His Angels praise the Prophet.
This is far more nuanced in Islam compared to Christianity.

Say His name ALLAH. HE IS NOT GOD. He has told us in Quran that nothing compares to Him.
The word God conjures up so many stories and images throughout history, i.e. Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Paganism.
As far as sending peace and blessings on the Prophet, this is to remind you that you are a Muslim and certify and solidify your identity as a Muslim and His book overrides all other revelation.
Sufis do go overboard with dhikr, dancing in remembrance of Prophet Muhammad.
As a convert I fully understand where you are coming from and felt similar to you. Then I memorized Quran and studied hadeeth for 25 years in Cairo.
You have a point, yet those who know are never confused.
The revised shahadah in use now is that Muhammad is THE SLAVE and messenger of Allah.
Visiting the tomb in Madinah first thing is incorrect.Last year I removed stickers placed on the wall of the masjid. I agree with you about placing the names ALLAH NEXT TO MUHAMMAD on the walls of the masjid.😢

Assalamun Aleykum. Be very careful when giving tafsir of Quran and Hadith. The major alims of Islam in summary say "Unless you have researched and investigated at least 60 works of alims on the subject, you will make grave errors and lead everyone that follows you and yourself astray." At least 60 works on the subject is emphasised. The reason for this, is so that all the ayat and hadith are analysed and filtered for a matter to become conclusive without any abiguity.
When Adem (a.s) was drifting around in sorrow in Jannah and begging Allah (c.c) for foregiveness, he received no answer time and time again, untill he finally said "Ya Rab, forgive me for the sake of Muhammad(s.a.s) " and Allah (c.c) said "How do you know Muhammad (s.a.s)?" and Adem (a.s) replied "Because La ilahe IllAllah, Muhammadan Rasullullah is writen on top of every door in Jannah."
Here is the dilemma. Their is a movememet called "Moderate Islam" that is being proposed onto Muslims. There are so called alims that have nothing to do with Islam, that are pushing this agenda. They say "We have the Quran, there is no need for Hadith", preparing the Islamic world for the "New Age Religion." Take away hadith and you have no GPS, and all the major tafsir works highly dependant on Hadith collapse. The next step is to Christianise Islam by attacking ayat(s) in the Quran, and eventually collapsing Islam itself. That's the plan.
The Quran constantly tells us to "Follow your Prophet." Don't confuse following the Prophet with idolizing the Prophet. Every Muslims knows that the first soul created is the most loved of all of Allah"s (c.c) creation. However every Muslim also knows that Muhammad (s.a.s) cannot be idolized and worshipped. There is no confusion. All the greatest alims of Islam have ensured that Allah (c.c) and Muhammad (s.a.s) are displayed in masjids, and there is a reason for that, and that is to ensure we protect our faith. Take Muhammad (s.a.s) and hadith out of the equation and Islam is open to attacks, innovations, corruption and eventually implosion.
The position you are taking will hurt generations to come, and the burden on the Day of Judgement will be heavy. So, do the research, then make tovbe, correct this video and ask for foregiveness from the people that have watched this video and have agreed with what you are saying, which is wrong. That's the only way Allah forgives when others have haq over you because you mislead them. You have to admit your error and ask for forgiveness. The haq of others is what can bring about our demise on the day when we have to answer for our deeds. As I have continued watching this video, your presentation also creates a lot of suspicion.
It almost seems like you are trying to sideline the final messenger that is a "solution to all of mankind." And finally, you cannot mention Muhammad, referring to the final Prophet sent to all of mankind without saying "Sallallahu Aleyhi Wa Sellem." Muhammad or "the Prophet" is not your friend from your neighbourhood. He is the Propehet of all prophets and his name cannot be mention without sending him peace and blessings. I hope I am wrong, but your presentation raises questions of your true intentions. With all my respects.

    Many problems with this video,
according to your logic if i pray to Allah to forgive my parents i have commited shirk because i mentioned my parents and Allah in my dua/ prayer.
Also you mention we are giving supernatural powers of Allah to the prophet but in the quran we find many instances saliman a.s asks supernatural help from other than Allah, yusuf a.s shirt gives sight to the blind,, khidir has knowledge of the future. Even the angel of death has the capability to take multiple souls in one moment.
Also you speak of the companions as hypocrite, Allah praises the companions in the quran and he says they are the best of generations ever to come on earth.
This is all in the quran please dont show someparts of quran to support your argument but leave all the rest out which goes against you. You do the same with the hadith you are quoting hadith to support your argument and your making the argument that hadith cannot be accepted very strange indeed.
