I gave up on Ryujinx and its terrible fps and followed this guide to get Yuzu working. Much better performance for the couple of games I wanted to play. Thanks!

Firmware is required. I think Yuzu was updated to handle up to firmware 17.0.0. So any newer firmware might make the emulator unstable? This also means that there isn’t any guarantees that you can play the latest games.
When I heard about Nintendo suing Yuzu, I KNEW I had to install Emudeck with Yuzu on it on my Steam Deck OLED that I was holding out on before they removed it, which I did. But with Emudeck’s issues with the updates that came after, I’m afraid of using Emudeck again, especially because I have other games I haven’t added yet. If I use Emudeck without Internet, can I still use Steam Rom Manager to get the other games I want added without updating Emudeck?

Is there a fix for Citra? The left touch pad controls don't work so no way to save state or exit. And when loading a game like Dragon Quest 7 it says fatal error and to quit

Found a fix for anyone else having a problem. In Yuzu settings in rom manager it has an additional ' in the name vblank_mode=0 %command% -f -g "'incorrect/folder/path/to/game/gamename.xci'" change to vblank_mode=0 %command% -f -g "new/correct/folder/path/to/game/gamename.xci"
Doesn't work. Sadly. The games do appear in steam on game mode but it just doesn't work. The emulator works fine on the desktop mode. But the controllers don't work at all. Edit: the controllers work fine, need to tap the 3 thing button to active the controller. Games work fine. But impossible to add to the game mode version of steam. So I just added yuzu and gave up on having the games.

Nice. I still had yuzu, but i was getting afraid to change storage devices or factory reset until i knew for sure i can add these back

Holding the start button might work, as it switches to game controls when you use Yuzu in Desktop mode

I think your AppImage is on wrong folder or the appimage you had is corrupted.
