Great video, I had not seen a complete history of the NASA lift body designs before. There was also the JAXA (Japaneses Space Agency) HOPE series of experiments to develop space shuttle type aircraft in the late 1990's. These would have been a lifting body that was reusable and uncrewed. These experiments included AFLEX (Automatic Landing Flight EXperiment) and the rocket launched HYFLEX flight. The AFLEX experiments were a helicopter dropped aircraft with autonomous landing. These were very successful. These were conducted on the Woomera Teat Range, Australia. HYFLEX was launched from Tanegashima Space Center, Japan.
I am really curious what a stall looks like in one of those bathtub or flat cut cone lifting bodies? Doesn't seem like it would drop to one side or the other but probably just dip the nose which would generally cure the stall.

Beautiful. I’d forgotten most of those craft.
Fascinating - thanks

The XQ-58 Valkyrie is a rail launched AI collaborative combat aircraft
powered these would be amazing if it didn't weight three tons 20:00
