The best part of this video for me is those arrival times, they would be accurate to a few seconds and thats frightening efficiency. Nothing in the western world compares to the Shinkansen in terms of reliablity, accuracy, comfort, speed, amenities and safety.
Wonderful!!! I loved your video, you show the whole train and also the services, the trip, it was wonderful. For one who also documents public transportation and travel it is wonderful. My only question is if you had to ask for a special permit to record all the cars or can it be done without problems, I hope to travel to Japan next year and it would be great to be able to document this train in the same way hahaha. A hug and many greetings from Chile, you have wonderful videos, I hope to continue watching them :)
JR doesn't have a problem with you recording but just be mindful of other passengers. Try not to record other passengers if you can and also it's best to do the same as this video and try not to talk unnecessarily if you're on the train. On long distance stuff like the shinkansen I think everyone thinks it's fine to talk to somebody you're traveling with but they don't like it so much if you're narrating into a camera, so keep that in mind. Better to just record and voiceover or subtitle later.
I’ve been to Kanazawa in 2014 - before the Shinkansen. I’m looking forward my next trip and it was great to find your video. Great video! One question: what was the date of your trip? I think it would be useful to add to the info. People (count me on) would be curious about the date, seeing the snow on the hills/mountains. Cheers, BelaSyd
Great video to have an idea of how it goes! Did you pay the JR Pass to use this trip to Kanazawa? I was planning to go from Tokyo to Toyama, and I see that it is one of the stops, but on the JR Pass website it is not clear if it is included or not. I was wondering if you happen to know since your trip was quite recent. Thank you!
There are three shinkansen services that travel to and from Kanazawa on the Hokuriku Shinkansen line. These are the Kagayaki, the Hakutaka, and the Tsurugi. The Tsurugi is a shuttle service between Kanazawa Station and Toyama Station which takes around 20 minutes. The Hakutaka is a multi-stop service between Kanazawa and Tokyo which takes around 3 hours. The Kagayaki is a limited stop express service and has the fastest journey time between Kanazawa and Tokyo at around 2 hours and 30 minutes. In addition to these three trains there is an Asama service that runs between Nagano and Tokyo and stops at most stations on the way. All of these services are fully covered by the Japan Rail Pass.
@@world-train-lab3968 yes I'm quite familiar with Mt. ASAMA coz I've seen it more close. If you can pls check out my blog, I mentioned mt. Asama there.. www.anjaguirre.wordpress.com/winter-in-japan-nagano Thanks!
@@world-train-lab3968 thanks for your video on the shinkansens. I got soo interested that I studied which shinkansens would go through each route like tokaido sanyo, tohoku, Hokuriku, joetsu, etc
Unlike the Hayabusa, the Green Class is much better compared to the Gran Class in Hakutaka 'cos the seats in Gran Class looks cramped in a tight space. Or maybe it was just a poor choice of lighting that's why it looks tight and suffocating?

Thank you. This helps me picture out my travel to nagano
Funfact: I recorded the announcement soundeffect from exactly this train, you can hear it at 12:30 and now it’s my ringtone
