Something ive learned about Deadlock is her actual role, being to completely STOP hard, aggressive pushes and rotates. The Net forces them to simply slow down and become an easier target, or make a loud sound cue to alert enemies to your location. The Barrier stops pushes entirely, forcing them to either shoot it or rotate out. The Sensor with the Wall is actually pretty good, especially when youre already off-site with the Barrier still active or when you exert a lot of pressure and force a fast rotate they wont expect the Sensor. It might not stun, but it still gives information. The Ult, similar to Fades util, works very well with the rest of her kit. Unlike Fade however, the Ult isnt enabling anything, its the normal util enabling the Ult. And seeing that someone is caught or even hearing the Ult voiceline is enough to make people run away and panic, making them easier to pick off. And if someone decides to free the trapped player, theyre diverting attention away from everything else, effectively making them a sitting duck
I think the wall should be more of an alarmbot, if that makes sense. For ex, C on Haven, you place the wall on garage and focus on defending long in a split push. The wall makes it hard to break by yourself, but qith your team its a bit easier, so you need to use it like that to get better value.
Deadlock is simply too easy to counter. Im not even talking about her strength as a sentinel but as an agent in general. 1) Her ultimate has no value when fighting multiple targets 2) Her nade is only good when combined with other util, also, easy to quickly remove 3) Her traps can't hold flank and need to be used together to get some sort of value out of them, unlike cypher or killjoy, where you can hold multiple places at once. She fits the sage/chamber category of sentinels (mostly tries to slow down the pushes) but most of her abilities are easy to avoid, making her too weak. Also, sage and chamber have something in their kit that makes them stronger (sage has heals and chamber has weapons), Deadlock has her ult that is very rarely good to use. I mean, there are already compilations of Deadlocks missing their ults so much that they simply waste an entire ult and when they finally hit it, it gets destroyed. Also, I'm not saying it's impossible to get value out of her util but if you have some better options to do her job, why would you choose to play her in the first place (if not for her design, voicelines,...)
She is pretty solid so far. Very strong on pistol rounds. Her ult gives you alot of space and her kit makes it easy to keep that space. So far so good at 100% winrate on 27 games with her. Hope they dont nerf her to the ground.
@@jowrocha2448i have started to make ult and wall lineups because i miss ult many times and wall is heavy that when i try to trow it i get off guard and killed, after learning lineups for default plant spots I'm just using ult for planters and defusers
@@jowrocha2448 Her ultimate is almost always a free kill and if they shoot it you get info. Her nade is good, throw it at someone or in the choke and it works ig. Her traps are not a flank clearer but she's also a site anchor. Place them around site and now they're broken as shit.
Possible, balanced buffs for Deadlock to make her more playable. Sonic Sensor - Make it pickable like cypher traps or killjoy abilites. Barrier Mesh - Fine ability, no need for changes. Gravnet - (3 possibilities) Make the net removing longer / Make hit enemies stuck on place, until the net is removed / Mark the enemy once after they got hit (like 1 tick of sova dart) Annihilation - A visible mark on the map, where the ult will hit. It is pretty hard to hit a deadlock ult, it would be a nice qol buff.
Agree with this 100 I think her Grenade needs a buff. It’s too short and crouching isn’t really that bad lol if they were held on site until it was removed would make this champ a bit more playable
I think deadlock is defined like sage as a "blocker", with a wall that phisically blocks enemies, a granade that at least slows them down, but wothout the healer 'baggage' attached to it.
Being a cypher main I thought multiple times "man I wish that I could stop the pushes I am seing with my cam like sage, but I don't wanna lose my tripwire!", and I think that's where deadloock comes in.
She is way more than that the only other cent with global traps is cypher so even if you just use the traps for info she has the second best info in the game with a one hit kill ult. But the cc is so valuable why would you just use them for info.
@@lorenzodepaoli3642bro what. I mained cypher from beta up until like last year and I WANT enemies to push, that's where cypher thrives. Whenever they rotate or hit the opposite site cypher is boring asf.
My Deadlock Rework Idea: Couple of reasons why Deadlock is not viable: 1. Staller sentinels in general are weak in comparison to other sub-roles of sentinels. They lack map presence and have one-dimensional abilities. 2. Deadlock doesn't have an ability that is strong enough to compensate for her lack of ability to help with taking map control. 3. She either doesn't offer unique value to a team comp or doesn't excel in any specific area in her gameplay to be able to stand out from other sentinels GravNet (Signature ability): - Replace Barrier mesh with Gravnet as her signature ability. - Change it into a rechargeable ability that recharges every 45 seconds. - Add a sound cue whenever it successfully ensnares enemies. (works similar to how Skye’s flashes gather info). - Add noise only whenever ensnared enemies walk or use any movement ability. - Add a vulnerable effect to any enemies that are currently ensnared. The effect will last right after the net has been removed ***Thought process: The reason for changing gravnet to it being rechargeable is a way for DL to still have an ability for post-plant situations without it being too oppressing by her to have 2 of them at the same time. Adding a sound cue and a vulnerability to gravnet encourages teammates to follow through on a well-placed net which makes her executes on attack much better.*** Barrier Mesh: - The wall should cost 350 credits - Add a marker on the ground that shows where the wall will land before throwing it and on that marker shows the general direction of its nodes (visually similar to how kids draw a sun). Sonic sensor: - Add an effect called "Tether". Once the sensor is triggered it will quickly shoot wires forward and any enemies caught by the blast will be concussed and automatically be tethered to any object, wall, or even an agent that is parallel to the sensor for 4 seconds. Once tethered, enemies will only be able to move 7 meters away from the tethered spot (works similar to Fade's seize ability) however enemies can shoot that spot to free themselves from the tether. Keep in mind that the object, wall, or agent must be in the AoE of that sensor. If there is nothing parallel to the sensor enemies will just be concussed. Also, the concussion effect doesn't go hand in hand with the tether duration. - Add a "Rearming mechanic". The sensor will not self-destruct once it has been activated. Once it has detonated the sensor will rearm itself for 25 seconds. While rearming, the sensor is completely exposed, vulnerable, and disabled. Also, DL will be unable to pick that sensor up till it is finished rearming. After it has finished rearming it will work like usual. ***Thought process: The tether effect adds more value to her sensors since concussion effects are a bit weak in this game. However, the shoot-the-tether-spot-to-break-free mechanic is there to balance the ability to prevent it from being too oppressing for the entry duelist who uses movement ability like Jett. The rearming mechanic adds more power to her ability from enemy teams that are lazy, unattentive, and have poor communication when comes to clearing her sensors***. Annihilation: Besides an enemy getting reeled in, enemies also caught in the AoE at the endpoint of her ult where a sphere appears will be concussed for 1.5 seconds. ***Thought process: The reason for this change is to prevent her ult from being too situational. This will enable DL to find more situations of using her ult where she can also punish the enemies' poor positioning.***
I absolutely love playing her on A fracture and B Bind where you can place a sonic sensor under hookah and drop respectively. When the enemies try to get out of drop and hookah, they’re almost guaranteed to make noise, and you can swing off the stun for a greatly advantageous fight. As the video pointed out, Deadlock’s sonic sensors are best positioned somewhere the enemies are highly likely to make noise.
Actually she's such a perfect combination with what i like in general, I've stop playing since months Valorant because I couldn't find the type of unique gameplay like " Master of Anti-Push " such as Wattson in Apex Legends and Symmetra in Overwatch 2, but now I'm so happy to add a new main to my list! ^^
ive been playing deadlock a lot the last couple days and ive absolutely fell in love with her kit, i used to play viper a lot but ive had way better success with deadlock. the ability to basically completely lock down a site and FORCE an enemy to announce themselves to enter is just insanely useful for getting kills when they try to switch back to watching angles after shooting the barrier/trip a trick i like to do with the barrier is put it a bit farther out into the site so that way the enemy has to move up to break the nodes then while they shoot the nodes you pop out and tap them. the stun goes off a lot more then you would assume off the bat, especially if you change up where you put them every couple rounds, theres usually 1 person on the enemy team that will check your last spot and not see it then walk right into the stun. the only inconsistency ive had is the ult, it seems like its completely random on when it decides to grab someone, ive had it grab people i wasnt even close to hitting and ive had it completely wiff on people in the dead center of it. though that being said the ult usually is more then 1 kill if used correctly, most people when they get ulted start panicing and begging their team to save them, which then causes their team to peek and try to shoot the cocoon and giving an easy shot to then pop the teammate, and even if the teammate does break the cocoon theres about a .25-.35 sec delay between when the person drops and when they can shoot back, which usually is enough to get the kill on them anyway.
I think she's the best site anchor aside from a viper ult. She slows every thing down and will almost always buy a lot of time for teammates to rotate.
I swear, Sentinels are always my favorite role to play. Such a wide variety and each with their own uniqueness! Don't get me wrong, all the roles have their own quirks, but with duelists, you're expecting the blinds and speed. With controllers, you're expecting smokes. With Sentinels, you get such a wide variety of playstyles. Deadlock the slowdown of agressors, Sage the best bodyguard, Cypher the truest info-broker, etc. Plus, as has been said all around, on a 1v1 against Deadlock specifically, while you can avoid her ult if you're quick and haven't been caught off guard, it still sends a chill down your spine hearing her yell out her signature line, and you're fucked if you do get caught
My question is how do you use deadlock on attack? Her util feel clunky until post-plant so how does one use her util before post-plant? What util combo actually help hit the site? How is her skit better for lurking in comparison to agents? Overall I feel like her util is strong but situational.
imo, she lurks about half the time and just fills that lurk role which you need to create pressure. Not necessarily because she's the best lurker but just because the role needs to be filled. The other half of the time I think she is part of aggressive site hits where she can wall off the CT spawn and set up stun traps to make the retake harder. As for site take utility she uses ult when you have it (I think you stack orbs on Deadlock) and it just another gun to help trade when you don't have ult. Definitely better on defense than Attack but so is every other "Sentinel"
Similar to KJ but lurks more aggresively. You don't need to wait around your flank trip so take more space. An ult prefire is also good if you have the read. It'll be useful to pull that one OP'ers and get that op for your team. Remember Deadlock ult will pull the enemy along with its gun. Essentially it's a free gun and kill in one ult
I don't like how people are saying you're supposed to use her as a lurker on attack, that's reducing her value to a gun, cause none of her utility is useful for lurking. I think she's best played when played like a sage, you go with the team and use your util to set up plays with your team. You can use her net like a sage would use her slows to get map control and prevent peeks as your team scale up or to combo with other util, while her mesh on the walkouts to prevent refloods and quick flanks when taking map control. Her stuns can then be placed on the site to allow for trap plays as the enemy is trying to retake.
@@batatanna I agree. Her post plant set up for taking site is really strong and probably stronger than Sage and even KJ. But she can still lurk, especially on maps that have audio points that you can't avoid like Bind Hookah or Haven Window,
for some reason, I have a love for agents which the community seems to agree sucks at first glance. Post-nerf Chamber, Harbor, Deadlock. Idk why, I just like them
6:13 "She also seems to be very good against aggressive teams" Yes but every other sentinel expect chamber does a better job at it. Her util is not worth it to pick, if you can have cypher/kj. Sage is not strong atm, but she has more valuable util than deadlock. I would recommend not to pick her, until she gets some slight buffs to every single ability
Ive been using barrier mesh as a way to block player pathing to make fights more favorable to you Like in ascent as some people will path their way to switch but with a wall it funnels them to more favorable fights
Deadlock is a combo between stalling sentinel and execute ruining sentinel, but Is still super inconsistent. The trapas take too long to pop, so the target is dead or already ran away and the nade is just fade sieze, but wors. Give a disscount on the granade (100 - 150, it is not worth the same as a fade sieze) and speed up the traps, maybe wifen the area a bid and she can be good.
I personally think where she shines is postplant on attack and aggressive pushes on defence. I made lineups to safely wall off spike from a distance on Lotus, Pearl and Bind and always throw a sound sensor on the bomb. She’s an absolute menace at stalling for time on both sides and is played very similarly to Sage :)
since her release ive thought that her grenade has been pretty weak given it's 1 charge, but i didnt even think about the barrier mesh being a one-use signature... that's a very valid point. here's my two-cents: - the barrier should be a 400 cred util - the grenade should be her signature on a 45s cooldown, with a slight buff to net removing time and/or aoe range im open to critique!
Iv been playing her a ton and I’d agree honestly. Her wall is insanely strong on pistol rounds and I think she should have to gamble either wall or 2 sound sensors.
Iv been play deadlock is scrim settings sense the day she came out. With a coordinated team she is a awesome agent. In sole Q she is a bit harder to pull of but I think that’s because people do fully understand what a sentient actually is. A sentinel not just a flank watcher, the Main objective as a sentinel is to hold space and that can be done with flank arching yes but is can also be done with walls and traps. Because the vast majority of players even at higher teir play don’t understand the is people consider sage and now deadlock not sentinels. My suggestion for anyone who is playing deadlock with teammates is to either play her on map where flanking isn’t common like split or run double sentient. You should heavily consider playing her on maps where rushes to take sites are super common like bind and fracture. Deadlock is a very creative agent look for new spots to throw her gadgets to hold space. Glhf
Her grenade and her sound sensor need buffs. For the sound sensor, I would make it so it could be picked up and redeployed, on a 10 sec cd. The barrier mesh needs to recharge with a cd after you use it (50 sec cd?). The grenade is honestly terrible, I think it should be reworked, or give her 2 of them.
Completely agree, I have had so many match and team mvps from playing around my util as Deadlock. She is very slept on right now, but I think that's due to people not responding well to her type of util like you said.
Deadlock is a pretty balanced agent! her stuns can be really good but can’t be used like a cypher trip, so you’ll have to be creative. Her nade is fine, wall is great! And her ult is balanced, you’ll maybe get 1/2 kills with it or clear a commen spot
Been playing her non stop in asc elo. She isn't a sentinel. She is more of a hybrid initiator and sentinel. She works very well as a combo with other sentinels. She is great for slowing the match down but needs support from her team to be effective.
i played with some friends the other day, and we played with reyna, skye, deadlock, sova, and sage(me) and tldr; we won 13-7 cause of good communication so yes, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED deadlock IF you have a pre made team, and someone who KNOWS how to use deadlock especially in communication
Deadlock is interesting, but I do think her nade is very weak. You could say her ult has almost the same kind of uses as fade seize, but seize is just way stronger when compared to her nade that can be broken in a second by just holding f. Gonna wait if riot decided if deadlock is good or if she need buff / nerf. Btw, congrats on 100k! You got your verified now 😁
I feel like deadlock is best used like a cypher. The mesh barrier shouldn't be used like a sage wall blocking choke entries but inside the site disrupting entry pathing because it still allows to shoot. Like disallowing pathing to Ascent A switch, Lotus C waterfall, Bind Lamps. All these will still provide a clear LOS for the defenders to retaliate but will disrupt the space taking abilities of movement duelists. Also its makes it difficult to safe shoot the mesh barrier orbs.
She will be super fun to watch in pro play. But you'll never get her to work in soloQ. Every agent so far has that little part of selfishness that you can rely on if you are solo, some more than others. This is, imo, the first agent you just can't play on your own.
i have been playing deadlock and in my opinion she is super strong if you have good coordination with your team, especially with damaging abilities from your teammates
Just as you say that people have incorrectly deemed agents to be weak, the last few agent releases were *correctly* identified as weak. Gekko was terrible on release, and Harbor needed buffs and got them, yet can still not effectively be played as solo controller, frequently needing a second controller in his comp to succeed. It's possible that she's just bad. The entirety of this video is you telling people how none of her utility works on its own.
The tripple sentinel comps the enemies are playing are actually super annoying. Having to go through cypher trips, deadlock trips, and killjoy or sage util to get onto any site isnt fun.
Hard to say. There's a lot of stuff out there that COULD happen but the amount of pro teams interested in experimenting is pretty low so who knows if it WILL happen.
I'd prefer a sage. Wall is useful in way more situations than barrier, slorbs are better than net and you get two. Trips are pretty good but doesn't make up for the rest of the kit. Ult seems good but I'd rather have a rez.
Her util lacks consistency but can be good in the right situation. Biggest issue though is I just don’t think she’s better than any of the meta agents rn. On her own she can be pretty good but who are you dropping to take a deadlock. Not going to be kj or cypher unless you want a dedicated player watching flank.
I don't get the problem... Deadlock is extremely easy to use. The only bad thing about Deadlock is that you can't pick up her sensors like how Cypher can pick up his trips. Plus she is still a better senitinal than Sage and Chamber which don't lock down a site at all. Unlike KJ who has limited places where her swarms can get value and mostly get shot. Deadlock gets to put her sonic sensors anywhere like cypher. Once the enemy team catches on to one of your sonic sensors you can just switch where you place it and they will be confused. Plus some places make the sonic sensor overpowered a few examples are Drop on Fracture, Outside Hookah on Bind, and When enemies drop from Heaven on Ascent and Haven. The Gravnet is just a combo tool that works best if you have a duo that had any damaging abilities, which can easily get free kills for your team. The Barrier Mesh is so good at funneling people into sonic sensors if used right. For example if you are on B side Ascent and you block of lanes with the wall. The enemies have to run to stairs and switch, so all you have to do is place a sensor switch and at the entrance of B main and peak from stairs and you can get some free kills. With the ult you have to be an idiot if you mess that up. Obviously you aren't gonna hit someone everytime because mistakes happen. However, the ult literally has a big as dome at the end of it, and making bounces spots for it is so easy. If the enemies shoot the person out of the ult they are most likely gonna die to bullets from your team. I'm glad her sensors can't hold flank because they are x10 more useful on site wether you are attacking or defending. In my opinion I say she is better than every sentinal except KJ, but the people that say she is bad are just not creative with the sensors and probably whiff the ult a lot.
I feel like deadlock is the perfect counter to Neon. Her seize and wall force agents to stop moving and have moments of vulnerability. Neon can't get past her sensor without getting stun unless she goes slowly, so she has no surprise timings. And her ult is basically a free kill placed properly
I still think the gravnet should be her signature ability and refreshes every 40 secs or something, this is a very small change that would definitely increase her value as a self-sufficient agent just like how Harbor's cascade was doubled, because after you used all her abilities, Deadlock just has nothing left anymore
@@h2o848i mean not even to be honest because she has to be alive for her sound sensors. an interesting buff could be making her sound sensors active even after death
i think deadlocks nade is pretty good but needs a buff and i think that her wall is a bit too good right now not quite sure about the ult yet, very good in clutches but if people are grouped up it can get shot out very quickly
I think the rest of her kit is so strong that the nade if fine I don't even buy it most of the time. Each trap is a kill and even if there are more than 2 flanking you can just pop the wall announce the flank and join the team. The only problem I run into is wanting that second frag and wasting to much time hoping for another flanker.
I see what riot is doing. Yes I see now. Before all these nerfs to abused solo queue agents, Valorant was a game where comming had little value, and you could often find success in doing your own random shit. Now, with these nerfs and the introduction of deadlock, the only way to find success is by working in tandem with your team. Valorant is gradually making the shift towards a style more dependent on teamwork, as it is marketed as. I’m frankly not unhappy with this as that is the core of Valorant and what sets it apart from other shooters. People are just mad that they can’t solo carry on deadlock. The days of that are fading.
all the maps you listed are my lowest win rates on her and lotus and the maps you didnt mention are my highest win rates with lotus being at 80 percent with 25 games played. so interesting take that the other maps you listed are her better maps when it has not been that way for me. still fun agent though, that also being said, her trips should not be able to get shot while going off, im sorry but her stuns already have too many conditions for them to work so the fact that they have a long activation time where they can be shot is not good in the slightest.
so im pretty sure deadlock is really good as a second sentinal on the team. She doesn't watch flank so if deadlock is the only sentinal on the team, flanks are gonna be your weak points but she overall looks really good.
Deadlock‘s inability to take space is unseen in this game. Even the other Sentinels can contest space they don‘t control. Deadlock in the current state of the game and more importantly the state of Killjoy doesn’t allow her to be relevant
She is so op. I don't understand the h8. She has the best CC in the game. She can shut down any flank easily, shutdown any puch creating a firing range while defending, and a one shot kill ult. I use her traps and knife people the cc is so long.
Gravnet fuckin sucks tho cuz you can pull it off so quickly it barely slows ppl down at all compared to a fade seize and sage slow. Also making people crouch is really not a useful affect at all
@@jaibandroide They shouldn't. The wall doesn't recharge and is the only signature (sides a broken Chamber TP) that doesn't recharge. For a Barrier that doesn't recharge and doesn't block LOS/Abilities/Bullets, it's pretty fine for it to be very strong.
@@whytry4682 im playing every day since patch for like 2 hours, sometimes a bit more and I'm 150k already. So after 2 weekly missions I will unlock her for sure.
I really don't think you understand how situationally good she is but not good in 90 percent of scenarios which is mid AF. She is a perfectly balanced Middle of the pack agent rn I think but a little toward the weaker side still so some tiny buffs would be good for her
True she cannot hold the flank, there is no guidance point to ult, her wall is useless, the bomb is an advantage to the enemies.. she is worse the early yoru days. Those who play sentinels, exactly know what is wrong
I believe she is still mid at best 1. her gravnet is garbage as it just makes people insta crouch and in low elo no one is gonna say "OH I HAVE A LINE UP FOR YOU" plus they all crouch spray anyway so it doesn't matter and when it comes to higher elo they just hold the angle you're going to swing or they take it off so fast it doesn't even matter and the only time I feel it get it's fulll value if when you pair it up with a blind and swing or just straight up ult their ass 2. no one plays this double senti right most of the time (even though I still think slapping dead lock trips with kj is op and having her rotate to have a 4:1 set up) which brings me to my 3rd point 3. are her trips good? not really They don't stun fast enough to stop a speeding raze or Jett dash and most of them end up being shot before stunning pretty bad for holding site by themselves (which is why when paired with a kj or cyper setups is where you probably get the most value) also this is highly unreliable when it comes to holding flank as they just walk by it so just use it for post plant (also don't tell me I don't know what I'm doing cause I only play senti and smokes I have tried ever postion for her trips and they are really mid) 4. Her wall might as well not exist as people just squad spam it when it's been thrown but at least it's good in 1v2 and 1v1 and ofc the points you have said (probably just the best item in her kit besides her ult which I feel like should have the same pull out without use like breach or fade ult) 5. I have only one problem with her ult IT SHOULD NOT TAKE 2 CLIPS TO BREAK IT that's probably the only thing that's too busted about her kit My final thoughts: Just rework her trips to be a bit faster and who that trip was activated by as well as the ability to pick them back up again, and give her gravnet a suppress and make them take off the net before being able to do something like shooting or planting becasue it's a net whats the point of just making them crouch it's not that punishing enough and making them take off the net is a way to fix that and finally just nerf her ult why is it 2 vandel clips
I like to treat her gravnet like an info utility, because it makes noise whenever removing the net. Although it's not solid info, the net can be dodged, it's just one way i treat the ability. Her util is easy to use, but hard to get really good value out of.
So that agent gets a free fcking wall, like no one thinks thats op? I am gettung so tired of trying to countering deadlock after vandal nerfs, odin is now by far the best solo queue gun cause of this broken ridiculous agent😊
She’s just not very good. I’m sure in the right hands she could be okay, but she Doesn’t fit into the meta. For ranked play, you’re always better off with a cypher kill trip or killjoy nanoswarm setup for delay. Then for pro play, she’s basically a weaker fade with a weaker sova ultimate. Her abilities simply don’t work well together, and sound sensors are hilariously weak.
They created this to stop ma team PRX. Like how awp was nerf to stop kennyS hahhaaha during the era of his rise to glory noooo but bwahaha at the same time
Again, stop assuming that people don't understand something. Especially in the high ranks, where people WANT to win and play only on strong agents/ Her abilities do not work with each other ( You have nothing to stop opponents from smashing the wall, you have nothing to make people make noise, except you can throw a slowdown under the ult to kill 1 opponent (WOW)) Her wall stops a quick rush, but at high ranks there's no difficulty to go around it or just jump over it while your teammates help by shooting and throwing abilities. If you want to stop the rush you have Sage, which has an imbalanced ult, a great wall and healing. And this hero doesn't need buffs, he needs a strong rework. So no, it's not people stupid, it's a very weak hero:) Pickrate 0% is a very good indicator of this)
All pro players say it's completely useless. But there is a video, bla bla bla, after a little bit of information, how can we be watched more. Here's the real thing. Valorant has a skill that makes your opponent bend over. But there is a video, bla bla bla, after a little bit of information, how can we be watched more. We all know what will happen there will be teams that want to try a few times then e nerf c q buff result fails and we have a new agent.
She is trash sadly. Definitely the worst agent in the game. Hopefully they rework her kit and make her playable. I think the very least that they could do is: - Grenade should notify you of any enemies that are caught. The net should persist like a slow and catch any enemies that decide to walk over it - Make her traps 50 cred cheaper and they shouldn't produce any beeping sound - Add a cooldown to her wall

Deadlock is simply too easy to counter. Im not even talking about her strength as a sentinel but as an agent in general.
1) Her ultimate has no value when fighting multiple targets
2) Her nade is only good when combined with other util, also, easy to quickly remove
3) Her traps can't hold flank and need to be used together to get some sort of value out of them, unlike cypher or killjoy, where you can hold multiple places at once.
Gravnet - (3 possibilities) Make the net removing longer / Make hit enemies stuck on place, until the net is removed / Mark the enemy once after they got hit (like 1 tick of sova dart)
Annihilation - A visible mark on the map, where the ult will hit. It is pretty hard to hit a deadlock ult, it would be a nice qol buff.
Agree with this 100 I think her Grenade needs a buff. It’s too short and crouching isn’t really that bad lol if they were held on site until it was removed would make this champ a bit more playable
Or at least let it give you vision while they are crouch walking and it’s removed
YOOOOO MAN PREDICTED A BUNCH
My Deadlock Rework Idea:
Couple of reasons why Deadlock is not viable:
1. Staller sentinels in general are weak in comparison to other sub-roles of sentinels. They lack map presence and have one-dimensional abilities.
2. Deadlock doesn't have an ability that is strong enough to compensate for her lack of ability to help with taking map control.
3. She either doesn't offer unique value to a team comp or doesn't excel in any specific area in her gameplay to be able to stand out from other sentinels
GravNet (Signature ability):
- Replace Barrier mesh with Gravnet as her signature ability.
The effect will last right after the net has been removed
***Thought process: The reason for changing gravnet to it being rechargeable is a way for DL to still have an ability for post-plant situations without it being too oppressing by her to have 2 of them at the same time. Adding a sound cue and a vulnerability to gravnet encourages teammates to follow through on a well-placed net which makes her executes on attack much better.***
Barrier Mesh:
- The wall should cost 350 credits
- Add a marker on the ground that shows where the wall will land before throwing it and on that marker shows the general direction of its nodes (visually similar to how kids draw a sun).
Sonic sensor:
- Add an effect called "Tether".
Annihilation:
Besides an enemy getting reeled in, enemies also caught in the AoE at the endpoint of her ult where a sphere appears will be concussed for 1.5 seconds.
People shitting on Harbor's release. Now he's meta. Idk why people judge the agent so early. We just haven't mastered her yet.
A strong point deadlock has in defense is her ability to yank the planter from planting and basically secure the spike for the defenders 😂
ive been playing deadlock a lot the last couple days and ive absolutely fell in love with her kit, i used to play viper a lot but ive had way better success with deadlock.
the ability to basically completely lock down a site and FORCE an enemy to announce themselves to enter is just insanely useful for getting kills when they try to switch back to watching angles after shooting the barrier/trip
a trick i like to do with the barrier is put it a bit farther out into the site so that way the enemy has to move up to break the nodes then while they shoot the nodes you pop out and tap them.
the stun goes off a lot more then you would assume off the bat, especially if you change up where you put them every couple rounds, theres usually 1 person on the enemy team that will check your last spot and not see it then walk right into the stun.
the only inconsistency ive had is the ult, it seems like its completely random on when it decides to grab someone, ive had it grab people i wasnt even close to hitting and ive had it completely wiff on people in the dead center of it.
though that being said the ult usually is more then 1 kill if used correctly, most people when they get ulted start panicing and begging their team to save them, which then causes their team to peek and try to shoot the cocoon and giving an easy shot to then pop the teammate, and even if the teammate does break the cocoon theres about a .25-.35 sec delay between when the person drops and when they can shoot back, which usually is enough to get the kill on them anyway.
I think she's the best site anchor aside from a viper ult. She slows every thing down and will almost always buy a lot of time for teammates to rotate.
PRX is going to get wrecked on attack against a deadlock
On the other hand I could see them being one of the first teams ro try and implement deadlock into their comps
bruh it feels like this agent was designed just to ruin the prx play style
Deadlock : MY TERROTORY MY RULE!( Screaming)
CHAMBER: Away(quietly)
Ult wasted
Yeah especially on spilt or bind taking advantage of drops using the censors there considering barely anybody’s slowly drops Zipline when retaking
Definitely better on defense than Attack but so is every other "Sentinel"
you gotta think for that one use ur brain
Ive been using barrier mesh as a way to block player pathing to make fights more favorable to you
Like in ascent as some people will path their way to switch but with a wall it funnels them to more favorable fights
Exactly, I think the barrier to force the enemies to go a different route instead of using it at chokes is far more effective
I love this agent, been instalocking her and climbing back to my rank from last episode, she’s great and fun when you know how to play her
since her release ive thought that her grenade has been pretty weak given it's 1 charge, but i didnt even think about the barrier mesh being a one-use signature... that's a very valid point.
here's my two-cents:
- the barrier should be a 400 cred util
- the grenade should be her signature on a 45s cooldown, with a slight buff to net removing time and/or aoe range
im open to critique!
no I like the barrier being free
one of theproblems playing as sage is taht 400 credit barrier
Iv been playing her a ton and I’d agree honestly. Her wall is insanely strong on pistol rounds and I think she should have to gamble either wall or 2 sound sensors.
they should at least longer her wall auto destroy time, its only 30sec, while sage 40 or 45 i dont remember
And her ult is balanced, you’ll maybe get 1/2 kills with it or clear a commen spot
ive been instalocking her, was d2, placed p2, back in d1. never played sentinel before but im having fun with her
Been playing her non stop in asc elo. She isn't a sentinel. She is more of a hybrid initiator and sentinel. She works very well as a combo with other sentinels. She is great for slowing the match down but needs support from her team to be effective.
Congratulations you said exactly what the video said.
Except all agents are hybrids.
i played with some friends the other day, and we played with reyna, skye, deadlock, sova, and sage(me) and tldr; we won 13-7 cause of good communication
so yes, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED deadlock IF you have a pre made team, and someone who KNOWS how to use deadlock especially in communication
would be nice if we could, turn the censors into motion sensors just to watch the flank from a right click and only alert when triggered,
Deadlock is interesting, but I do think her nade is very weak. You could say her ult has almost the same kind of uses as fade seize, but seize is just way stronger when compared to her nade that can be broken in a second by just holding f. Gonna wait if riot decided if deadlock is good or if she need buff / nerf.
Btw, congrats on 100k! You got your verified now 😁
hope to unlock her soon!
I've died so many times by my own teammate deadlock throwing the barrier mesh and getting me trapped

her abilities rely on critical thinking, they're not obnoxious
@@Malam_NightYoruthey are though
@@Malam_NightYoru you dont have to think much tbh unless its pro play or smthing
Bruh, getting caught in her ult is wild. You just wait for death
She will be super fun to watch in pro play. But you'll never get her to work in soloQ.
Every agent so far has that little part of selfishness that you can rely on if you are solo, some more than others.
This is, imo, the first agent you just can't play on your own.
Dobble sentinel would be a meta. Kj and deadlock combo. 1 detection bot, 2 nano and 1 sonic detection
Nice explanation about why this agent is underrated! Time to nerf chamber!
I can confirm that simply dropping your gun / pistol flashing sets off the sound sensor as well. ☺ you are welcome
i have been playing deadlock and in my opinion she is super strong if you have good coordination with your team, especially with damaging abilities from your teammates
Quick question, do you think deadlock will cause a double sentinel meta on maps like split where sage is very useful
6:15
So, every game sub-Gold?
If they make April fools updates like overwatch, you should be able to put a trip in the roof
I feel like deadlock is the perfect counter to Neon. Her seize and wall force agents to stop moving and have moments of vulnerability. Neon can't get past her sensor without getting stun unless she goes slowly, so she has no surprise timings. And her ult is basically a free kill placed properly
Neon doesn’t get stunned by neon when she is sprinting. She is fast enough to get past it before is pops
why made a counter for something that doesn't really has a high pick rate?
I still think the gravnet should be her signature ability and refreshes every 40 secs or something, this is a very small change that would definitely increase her value as a self-sufficient agent just like how Harbor's cascade was doubled, because after you used all her abilities, Deadlock just has nothing left anymore
this kinda gives her the freedom to fight tho, like brimstone when he uses all his util
"When you use all of her abilities, she doesn't have any abilities left."
You should be an analyst.
all i need is that her trap can be pick up again, that's it

i think deadlocks nade is pretty good but needs a buff and i think that her wall is a bit too good right now not quite sure about the ult yet, very good in clutches but if people are grouped up it can get shot out very quickly

The days of that are fading.
use nade line up for catching faking defuser
all the maps you listed are my lowest win rates on her and lotus and the maps you didnt mention are my highest win rates with lotus being at 80 percent with 25 games played. so interesting take that the other maps you listed are her better maps when it has not been that way for me. still fun agent though, that also being said, her trips should not be able to get shot while going off, im sorry but her stuns already have too many conditions for them to work so the fact that they have a long activation time where they can be shot is not good in the slightest.
so im pretty sure deadlock is really good as a second sentinal on the team.
People’s thinking she’s a worse version of another agent tell you all you need to know

Needs a buff for sure. Coming from immo 2 player.
I believe she is still mid at best
1. her gravnet is garbage as it just makes people insta crouch and in low elo no one is gonna say "OH I HAVE A LINE UP FOR YOU" plus they all crouch spray anyway so it doesn't matter and when it comes to higher elo they just hold the angle you're going to swing or they take it off so fast it doesn't even matter and the only time I feel it get it's fulll value if when you pair it up with a blind and swing or just straight up ult their ass
2. no one plays this double senti right most of the time (even though I still think slapping dead lock trips with kj is op and having her rotate to have a 4:1 set up) which brings me to my 3rd point
3. are her trips good? not really They don't stun fast enough to stop a speeding raze or Jett dash and most of them end up being shot before stunning pretty bad for holding site by themselves (which is why when paired with a kj or cyper setups is where you probably get the most value) also this is highly unreliable when it comes to holding flank as they just walk by it so just use it for post plant (also don't tell me I don't know what I'm doing cause I only play senti and smokes I have tried ever postion for her trips and they are really mid)
4. Her wall might as well not exist as people just squad spam it when it's been thrown but at least it's good in 1v2 and 1v1 and ofc the points you have said (probably just the best item in her kit besides her ult which I feel like should have the same pull out without use like breach or fade ult)
5. I have only one problem with her ult IT SHOULD NOT TAKE 2 CLIPS TO BREAK IT that's probably the only thing that's too busted about her kit
My final thoughts: Just rework her trips to be a bit faster and who that trip was activated by as well as the ability to pick them back up again, and give her gravnet a suppress and make them take off the net before being able to do something like shooting or planting becasue it's a net whats the point of just making them crouch it's not that punishing enough and making them take off the net is a way to fix that and finally just nerf her ult why is it 2 vandel clips
I like to treat her gravnet like an info utility, because it makes noise whenever removing the net. Although it's not solid info, the net can be dodged, it's just one way i treat the ability. Her util is easy to use, but hard to get really good value out of.
the locked channel proves this
I love deadlock.

( You have nothing to stop opponents from smashing the wall, you have nothing to make people make noise, except you can throw a slowdown under the ult to kill 1 opponent (WOW))
Her wall stops a quick rush, but at high ranks there's no difficulty to go around it or just jump over it while your teammates help by shooting and throwing abilities.
If you want to stop the rush you have Sage, which has an imbalanced ult, a great wall and healing. And this hero doesn't need buffs, he needs a strong rework. So no, it's not people stupid, it's a very weak hero:) Pickrate 0% is a very good indicator of this)
no u
All pro players say it's completely useless.
But there is a video, bla bla bla, after a little bit of information, how can we be watched more.
Here's the real thing. Valorant has a skill that makes your opponent bend over. But there is a video, bla bla bla, after a little bit of information, how can we be watched more.
We all know what will happen there will be teams that want to try a few times then e nerf c q buff result fails and we have a new agent.
She is trash sadly. Definitely the worst agent in the game. Hopefully they rework her kit and make her playable. I think the very least that they could do is:
- Grenade should notify you of any enemies that are caught. The net should persist like a slow and catch any enemies that decide to walk over it
- Make her traps 50 cred cheaper and they shouldn't produce any beeping sound
- Add a cooldown to her wall
this aged extremely poorly
deadlock is pretty butt
خخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخخ
Still not as good as KJ
Cant u just play like a rat with deadlock?
man I wish there was a game with the great gunplay similar to valorant, but without the bullshit abilities of the different agents...oh wait
bro is talking just to talk. average csgo fan just malding cuz the game with the bullshit abilities is more popular than it.
cs:go fan try not to cry about valorant being more popular every 2 seconds challenge (impossible)
@@Wicked_Gaming_ its not more popular at all lol
Cs go fans why don't you just go play your favorite game? It's like those insufferable vegans that have to tell everyone around them that they're vegan otherwise they have no purpose. Just go enjoy your game man, no one asked you to play valorant.
