Now, my games are way more fun and Ive never to wait for my duelist to do the entry, also in higher elo, you get less sold after you do your entry and your team mates are more often grateful when they get some one who does their job properly. The only thing im pissed about now, is when some one instalocks my duelist, because thats the only thing I know I can play at that elo 🤣 I would say, i follow all the five tipps already before I saw that video, especially playing with my team is great fun. Me wanting to play duelist bc after playing valo for quite some time, i should actually treat the game as it is, a shooting game, i main kj and all i do is put all my utilities and hide in a place, i sometime don't even look for angles or anything, just hide and hope my nanoswarms or turret can kill someone, i wanna actually learn to , you know, shoot someone and actually walk around the map instead of know the main entry to the site, i literraly don't know what the mid of each maps look like
Derke always has highest FK/FD than majority of other pro duelist, you can check stats in every match and thats insane
I play jett, work through a main, notice my team is lagging behind me, i wait for them, I tell them I'm gunna entry, they watch me dash in and do NOTHING about it
I feel like every time i die as duelist without even getting some damage in makes me feel useless. But if i play too passively then I’m even more useless. Makes me think your better off just not playing duelist period.
i wish i could apply this in my elo but the team just wont listen and they think that i have an ego bc im suggesting them what to do in the round :((
Press your mic and say -> The Most difficult part of the game, everything else is secondary
Dude derke advice changed my playstyle and made me a good duelist ❤
Me asking for a flash to my Breach:
*Breach proceeds to flash our entire team*
I already knew that as a duelist, you need to make your team’s life as simple as possible but the thing is, the rank I play in (s3) have players who don’t trade me out while I dash in as jett or satchel as raze and then trash talk as soon as the round is over since I was the first one to die without any picks, and I just sit there questioning my reckless decision
Communicate to your team where you want your smokes/flashes/etc so that you can actually get a kill or two when you enter site. Other than that focus on your mechanics and if you’re good enough you’ll solo your way to plat regardless of how good your team is
@@loo5n I was hardstuck silver for a couple of acts. It literally does not matter what you tell them, because even if they throw down the util they won't be on site with you. It gets better in gold for sure, but not by much.
@@yououttapocket even without them on site you’d still be able to carry rounds with decent util at that rank. You just have to great mechanics and getting util will help with some games not all. I started in bronze and am now ascendant and people still bait.
I used to play a lot of cypher, and always did the entry, every single time, i played mostly sentinels and skye, i always tought that the duelist job was to get frags but nah it was to entry, so i now play mostly neon and entry without an issue
Great advice. Last point though, if the Jett was op'ing or had knives, especially if they were popping off, then I could justify killing them over the omen. But yes, the point is to select the target which will remove the most impact.
something that makes it a lot harder to want to play like that is people want to climbe faster and 1 game with +30 rr sounds faster than 3 games with +10 rr unless you realise that thats less consistent
My brain and stratergy : 😎😎
My aim : 😶😶
duelist is my favorite role but I often have to fill to (luckily) my second favorite role controller, and it sucks when my duelists dont play their character right, do u know how many jett "mains" I had to tell they can look left and right when dashing or dont have to peek to use their smokes and can control it and they are surprised 70% of the time and im not even a jett main I play yoru, I wish I had a another duelist like controler, either with some kind of dash or preferably a proper flash
omen is probably the best for you
@@ridikelus4413 definitely he is so fun, but I still prefer more traditional flashes sometimes his blind feels very limited, and kinda useless if I cant coordinate with my team
As an Omen main carrying my team half the time, this is how I expect my duelists to actually play.
Com is obv the most important thing in the game and ofc utilities. I’m a high diamond/low asc player and one time i asked my viper to put his smoke certain way and my other teammate started going off on me about let him/her play the game and bossing around. All I did was, askin politely “Viper, can you put your orb on mid?” Such hard game. Istg i love the game but makes it hard to play.
Honestly i think a lot of it just boils down to people caring more about K/D and Montages than actually Objectives and winning games.
Sage is a duelist confirmed
Meanwhile when I smoke dash onto my team jsut watches me die instead of pushing with me
What to do in situation when my teammates wont flash for me when i ask them and why do my team mates blame me for dying after clearing whole site?
Bad aim day breaks most of these tips as a duelist tho...😭
I love how he’s talking about duelists and then mentions chamber, I’m just saying but I think that’s proof chamber is actually a duelist
I play jett, raze, and neon mostly but i dont have flashes so my initiator could assist me flashing in while i push so i can get frags but also helping my team get site
The fact that He says chamber as a duelist is so funny
I met 1 guy name bikoy in rank. He keep protect 2 duelist in my team, even though they can't entry site profely. They keep playing behind the team, even our cypher tanking enemies's cypher trap. HE SAID DUELIST USE FOR KILLING PEOPLE:D. Am i wrong? Some duelist picklocker after being blame for not entry the site. They keep spam they key word:"Why dont u entry ur self, or why dont u pick duelist instead"???? Why??
try to explain playing numbers to my ranked mates... even if i as a duelist try to play numbers they just push
Thanks for sharing his advice and yours aswell
I play in hk server and my duelist always bait or lurk around the map
I played duelist and whenever i play controller or something i always played poorly is my aim or i’m just no used to the agent 🧐
Beware the Iron “I’m a Jett main”. Always a hoot.
i was an omen main but recently i have played a lot of jett she is just so fun becuase i love sniping with marshall and op i like entrying onto site and i also like playing as a rat so i love updraft for the off angles
my 5-19 jett needs to learn this
its so sad my duo is on a trip to france for a week so i have to solo q
you should link the original twitter thread!
So I'm not the only one who's sick of playing smokes 🤦♂️ I literally wait and pick last because I know they won't pick the most freaking important role!!!!!
i was hardstuck silver with jett
i switched to viper and sage
now i am immo 3
So ffs ig
also nice video
i fill one every 200 games just so i can justify my insta duelist pick for the next 200 games.
Bro , send this guide to all my teamnates i get in solo q's, cus even when im match mvping doing this doesnt work, while not beeing toxic of course
Number 3 is directed to my teammates
bro mased up so bad 2:41
quick quesito: is losing a 4v1 easy or hard for my team? Like how hard can it be to win a 4v1? asking so I can reprogram my AI teammates.
you should put in a note: Only for high tier lobby. So some people don't get frustrated when none of this can ever be apply to a low tier loby.
My team doesn't trade me when I entry
I HATE playing duelist but every time i fill duelist i drop 20/30 ;-;
tournament plays and playing competitive is very different
Imagine 1 day, Valorant created enough for a ban/pick Agent , It would be more competitive
I actually don't like playing duelists at all. Though I can pretty much play every other role decently.
But when I go duelist when 5 stacking with my friends I suck at it so hard lmao
Me to my teammates who sit entry and stand still: Kills don't matter. Get out on site so we can plant and win round.
Them: SHUT UP 5/19. You're bottom fragging, therefore you have no right to correct me and attempt to beat down my uncontrollable ego that begs other people to praise my ability to kill!
Me: Okay. Muted.
7:35 why does it made me laugh so hard
Neon is a controller right? Coz I'm not be a pro at it but I decent enough to at least managed it.... Except for her Ult... I'm bad at it... XD
I love Reyna slander. I used to be a Reyna main.
y'know... I rarely every play ranked [partially because I don't want to deal with racist idiots but the majority of it is because I'd rather spend my time honing my actual craft] but, the strangest behavior I have ever witnessed is when I ask my initiator or controller or OTHER DUELIST WITH FLASH ABILITIES to flash for me so I can take the first fight for them to possibly trade me if I miss and they ignore me. Like, if someone has an answer to why people refuse to use utility for a duelist who is ACTUALLY going to entry for you instead of bait you please give me an answer LMAO
Me Instalocks Jett in Norm
Told team I will entry
Team: Suprised Pikachu Face
my stas are kinda shit this act compared to last act which was really good but the stats for my win rate didnt change at all and im winning a lot of games so i think im doing something right lol
"Get yourself a duo" bruh i dont have friends im diamond3 stucked with 40 games
This video should be the intro to Valorant as every player MUST see it.. and understand the game..😒
Am also a duelist in valorant or a rookie duelist to be exact 😅
Basically, duelists are baits.
The thing is what it is saying here is right and what I do in my games I main neon and I just switch off my brain and let my inner adhd run wild because me doing that getting 1 kill and dieing is way more effective then me being a character that I over think and do shit as that's why I think neon best agent for me it's simple it's fun and most of all it helps my team as long as I die on site and make my team get on site I've done u job but it hard when I'm playing with bronzes who also have the aim of someone with no hands at times but ye that's what I think
Take notes: learn your agents ❤
Playing with team in general helps... facechecking every corner and looking for every possible aim duel is not helping no matter what agent/role you play. It is a basic mechanic cs players have to master too even tho there is no champs.
funny how the best way to play duelist is the oposite of why people play the role.
This doesnt work in mumbai servers so people who play on this server just cry about it lol
why do you think real navy, army etc etc have to do so much to clear a building? that is what duelist makes easier essentially.
the randomness is supposed to help newbie, but it ends up giving new player worse experience.. also i see in valorant pro mathcs that pro miss their angling holding, if pros do this in csgo they get fired by the club, so you know how ridiculous it is..
my dueslist skills are like 65% accurate to this but my teammate skills are like 20% accurate to this they just run it down or bait everyone and push into ct or smthing
It is good to play without looking to get many kills, but the valorant system unfortunately does not reward utility
the thing is after using abilities and pushing in as duelist getting one kill, to seee your teammates still waiting at main and you die from haven or ct, then your team decides to rotate and dies one by one to a lurker.......silver gold plat lobby
if u go in first ur team wont follow unless ur in high elo so
Juste have a good aim , 30ping or less + know tour agent and carry tour team will entry on site
yes very w guide
I always thought it was about the kills the made the game easier but it turns out I can do much more as a dualist main xD
I was so pissed about 70%~80% of my games having shit duelists, so I became a duelist player. Went from 47% win rate to 58% so damn fast. It seems im a Jett natural and immediately climbed easily into higher elo. I don't care about my kda however naturally its most of the time pretty good, but what I care about is winning rounds, and thats how I try to play. Some how, being pissed about duelists playing like puss*s or for kda, made me realize, im a far better duelists, and I was pissed because I did understand what they had to do, but didn't. Now, my games are way more fun and Ive never to wait for my duelist to do the entry, also in higher elo, you get less sold after you do your entry and your team mates are more often grateful when they get some one who does their job properly. The only thing im pissed about now, is when some one instalocks my duelist, because thats the only thing I know I can play at that elo 🤣
I would say, i follow all the five tipps already before I saw that video, especially playing with my team is great fun. Almost every game im like, asking my controller or initiator to do a thing, right at the spot I ping them, at the time i tell them. Think about your team mates as free extra utility, and support, so why would I not use them, its easy kills for free. Some how, especially astra mains are great support, they always seem to be eager in doing something for a jett main, when you ask them XD idk man, astra main mentality is like a doggo, they get so happy when you ask them to do something for you :3
The first raze player thta played bad is prob Radiant in na
That’s great and all unless ur in silver and ur team just stays in main and gets u killed 💀
Bruf just pick whatever you like, theres maps where smokes are a must but there are the rest, that is not needed for soloq
AHHAA Play with a team: First you entered the game SOLO. Second, you only meet crappy Stockholm, London and Frankfurt servers.
Thirdly, I don't think that you should sacrifice yourself as a duelist, so that only the commander knows where everyone is, because there are smarter ways to play against the opponent.
good thing im a brim main
Kills matter mate, I know it is not everything and I’m not saying you need to have 1kd but it really matters, literally kills=aim , aim is about 50-60% of this game lol
DO NOT PLAY NEON FOR KILLS!!! Neon is for chaos expect 0.8’ish kd if you’re low elo
derke give a good advice however those advices don't work if you solo q. so gg.
Another reason to nerf Chamber 😂😂😂😂😂
Let's queue derke in iron lobby and see how he ranks up...... With other irons.....
bro i asked my breach to throw flash after my flasg he was fight over over why should he that type assholes i get
