The titan curse still exists, Eren did not accomplish his goal yet. The rumbling is inherently incapable of ridding the world of the titan curse, just as much as laying down and allowing the enemy to destroy you. There is nothing noble or heroic about forcing other people to sacrifice themselves for your own sake. The solution to the problem can never be the problem itself.
Eren's heroism is not in carrying out the rumbling, but rather in his unwavering conviction to carry on through hell despite the apparent impossibility that his actions could ever lead to a desirable outcome, and also despite his own lack of knowledge about his ultimate destination.
The solution is as follows, from Saigo no Kyojin:
