  • You've heard us mention Maker's "Tilt Propeller System" several times over the last few weeks, so here's a close, and very satisfying, look at this critical system in action.
The TPS is a system of actuators, sensors and software that can move the angle of the forward six propellers relative to the wing in order to control the aircraft from hover through the transition to wing-borne flight in cruise. The work the team put in during the first half of this year to upgrade and test the aircraft’s TPS is paying dividends already. Archer believes that its progress from first hover flight through full transition, which we're on pace to achieve before the end of this year, will be the fastest any eVTOL company has reached this important milestone.
