Just a tip for those who want to see fish in the ocean without an excursion. Walk all the way to the south end of the Valentin beach and there is a rock jetty that juts out into the gulf. On the other side of that, the water is calm and clear and there are almost always schools of small fish in that protected area. Can't wait to get back this July!
You mentioned that you will always get Building 4 & 5 - do they allow you to request those and is it done at check in? This will be my first time going so I’m trying to get all the information I can. Thanks for posting this video!

Thanks! In terms of safe water usage, we always brush our teeth with the bottled water they supply. We have never had a problem with bathing or showering as normal. Regarding drinking the water, we always drink the water (and ice) from the restaurants and bars without any problem.
We were there last month and loved the place. I HATED the QR codes for EVERYTHING the most ! Cost cutting is what that is with using Covid as a excuse. 2nd thing that was a turnoff for me was the other guests who were repeat visitors to the resort. Many of them had never even tried any other resorts while I like the Valentin it isn’t the “best” resort in the World as many claim and there just seemed to be a clique mentality about the resort guests. Almost sheep like at times. Also hated that you could never get a spot around the main pool unless you go out by 7:00 am to reserve one. I know this is a problem at most resorts. Just sayin.
Hm, I'm not sure how getting rid of menus would be cost cutting, but I do wish they'd make a return! We've been to several different resorts in Mexico, but do find ourselves returning to the Valentin yearly. We'll be going back to the Valentin as well as another resort in Mexico this summer, so I'll likely do a comparison video!

Thanks! Most mornings they have a bike tour available. I believe it is around 8:00 or 9:00. You do have to have closed toed shoes to participate.

I do not want to carry my phone with me. I like leaving it in my safe. We travel to the Valentin often and being forced to use your phone is not good.

Yes. However, Wi-Fi is available for free throughout the resort (except on the beach where the signal is too weak to work well consistently).
