  • Makeover your furniture (dresser, nightstands, buffet etc.) by adding legs to the bottom. It's not always easy because of the old skirts or legs that are there. We've tried different ways over the years, but this is the easy way to add legs to furniture.

    Hi Natalie, thank you, never knew a Drexel can be used to saw of the wood, made the job less stressful. Those new furniture feet added a brand new modern look to something very dated and buried. You choice of color and paint job made it look like and antique Art Deco revive /Tate modern. Thank you I learnt how to put feet.

    Thank you for posting this!! I was just surfing the web looking for "how-to's" to do this exact project with an entryway dresser/cabinet that I want to be a few inches taller. I am also now on the hunt for your Dremel!!! LOL. I was planning on using my jigsaw, but your Dremel looked fun too!! Thanks again- Jennifer

    Great tutorial! Furniture newbie question: so when attaching legs that screw into a mounting plate, does the mounting plate provide all the thread the hanger bolt needs? I'd been picturing thatthe leg screwed in to the plate and THEN into wood beyond that, but in the close up here, it looks like the leg bolt doesn't touch the wood at all? I really appreciate the close-up and insight for helping me wrap my head around it. Thank you!

    • @ARayofSunlight
      @ARayofSunlight  Год назад +2

      You’re correct, the mounting plate has all of the thread needed. You should not need to have a hole in the wood on the dresser.

    I need to attach the 29" legs ( CAROLINA LEG CO. Chunky Farmhouse Table Legs - Unfinished - DIY Furniture - Turned Legs - Set of 4 - Dimensions: 3.5" x 29" ) to the bottom of the round table (the thickness of the table top is ~3/4". I think to use some Furniture legs attachment plates and then to screw 5/16" hanger bolts (they will be on the top of the legs) into the plates. But what is the best method to attach the hanger bolts to the tops of the legs? Are the inserts for the hanger bolts sufficient? I would appreciate any opinion on this matter. Thank you for the informative film.

    Will this work for sofas as well?

    • @ARayofSunlight
      @ARayofSunlight  4 года назад

      Art E im sure it would depend on your sofa, but this should work! I would use a square plate instead of the triangle heavy duty plate though.
