I really appreciate your constant reminder that it’s okay not to spend money on this game. I’ve been playing gachas free to play for years now and it really does get depressing when you see so many ppl spend money and are able to get characters that I want. But it’s nice to remember that I’m not in the same financial position as other people and as long as I’m having fun: that’s all that matters✨
Even if you were in the same financial position it's still better to be able to enjoy the game for free and spend your money elsewhere. Having the patience to stay f2p is great not just for poor people
I was free to play for a long time. Then I started getting returns from financial aid and used that to be a budget spender XD. (Only welkin and battle pass)
I think it's alarming that people need to be reminded that it's "ok" not to spend money on it. If anything, spending money on gacha is a bad thing. Personally, I'm in a financial situation where I could 'safely' whale if I wanted. I won't pretend I'm fully f2p - I generally do welkin, and this month I spent $10 on BP just so that I could get a weapon for xiao that isn't donkey balls. That isn't to say I'd encourage doing the same - I absolutely think it's still a dubious cost/benefit ratio, but gacha is designed to exploit bad decision making and my self control isn't good enough to practice what I preach. It's actually scary looking at some of my friends who play the game... they start f2p a couple months, then welkin a couple months, then BP, then next thing I hear they spent $50 to get enough gems to reach pity because they were "already close", but they lost the 50/50 and now they're emotionally invested so they spend another $200 for the guaranteed pity. It's scary af I'm telling you. So don't feel bad. You are 100% doing the smart thing staying f2p.
I know people who have multiple 5 star characters yet they're complete trash at the game and need to do co-op to beat Oceanid. Don't be like those people - invest in your 4 star characters because many of them are just as viable as 5 stars. I'm AR55 and still clearing content with ease using 4 star characters.
Pro tip: do not farm crystals/artifacts/whatever everyday if you don't feel like doing it. I told my gf after her dailies that she should be farming crystals and artifacts so she did everyday until it became a chore for her. She now plays maybe twice a week because that routine killed the game for her. I now dont bug her about it and let her play the way she wants to play. I also skip farming on some days and it feels so much better to just have fun and not worry about it all the time.
yes, exactly, making something like this a routine is kinda bad, it makes you feel like its a job, i just occasionally go to certain spots if feel like or if i need to. I also feel like there is that little excitement when you have to farm for materials for a character, while when you already have everything farmed the experience of joy that you used to get at the beginning of the game starts to disappear little by little, i mean, its good when you can just swap or put everything the moment you get the character and just go and test it inmidiatly, but at long term it starts to feel wrong, and im talking about many other games as well, thats prob why mihoyo doesnt want to give us a better resin system
I did this on my main account, also started two other accounts, I almost stop playing the game then I said to myself, main is the main focus, Thus I abandoned the two accounts, still there but haven’t logged in since December
Crystal farming everyday isn’t necessary at all and can always join other worlds to make up for it. The only farm imo that actually matters is the artifact one and for me personally it’s the easiest grind of the day, takes like 10 minutes

100% relatable to me as well. When a game feels like a chore rather than a hobby you do for fun, you should definitely take some time off and rediscover your passion or just quit indefinitely if that doesn’t work. Mihoyo is a smart company so their methods are very enticing to make you continue staying hooked on their game and play every single day (expeditions, daily commissions, battle pass, 30 day Welkin moon primogems and insane value, etc). So it’s definitely easy to get hooked and have playing the game feel tedious and like a chore.
I want albedo so baaad....pulled diluc during his banner(can't really complain, except was looking for a fun easy support, and ended up with a super duper resource sponge to farm for.) But I get overwhelmed like every 2-4 weeks and put the characters I've been building on hold to build a new one. When I finally get back on track though can see notable difference! It's not not fun when I farm, but just putting like 1 main dps at a time into the farming category makes it a attainable goal.

yeah, dont get me wrong, but out of many other streamers/content creators i feel like he is more of a normal person, prob because of his age(?) ok jokes aside, yeah i wasnt really paying attention to the routine that much, it was more interesting what he was actually explaining about gacha games. I made a comment not long ago in a certain youtuber video about how he was overreacting toward the gacha results and all, like his reactions were just made up to create a character for views, and i feel like doing that kind of acting is kinda absurd and disrespectful toward his audience, im not sure how people can enjoy a terrible act of someone screaming of rage and lack of common sense and probability studies. Still, i go too far sometimes criticizing people's videos or actions sometimes that i should actually stop doing it cause no matter what i say nothing will change since everything is chaos in the comment sections all the time

Honestly I had fun watching through the entire video. The points about fear of missing out and the power creep were a nice reality check, was feeling a bit of that after all the 1.3 additions and changes. Would totally be down for more rambley type videos, they're just so chill.

For people who were hating on Zhongli, Not having him, literally doubles the time it takes to farm all the mining and camp clearing spots. He provides 1 button camp clear for 12 second cooldown and wide area mining. And yes all of us who knew how to properly build Zhongli get 100% ult uptime every 12 seconds.

I keep farming all the artifacts everyday ever since patch 1.1 and i feel happy when they add another places somewhere at dragonspine to farm those free arifacts.

Relatively new to Genshin and Atsu and his videos have been my go to entertainment and for guidance. Sometimes when the game already feels tedious after hours of playing, I just go to his channel and watch his content and I get inspired to play again.

Far too many RUclipsrs and streamers are producing content that keep pushing the player to min-max their characters, with all sorts of clickbait BS like "DON'T SLEEP ON [X]" or "DON'T MISS OUT ON [X]" or "YOU ARE DOING [X] WRONG". etc. It's utterly tiresome crap. I get lost alot in game maps and my husband "helps" me find my way back to where I started during a failed trial.......lol....that makes the game even more fun because he participates in his own way! I did listened you in the background and I found it very enjoyable, I checked your run to see if I was doing it correctly and it is pretty much the run I do as well every day, and, man! 52 years old? I really haven't thought of that, I am 42 and sometimes felt embarrassed playing this with lots of young people, I normally play more "heavy" games like Assassin's Creed, Control, Nier Automata (yes, Yoko Taro IS heavy stuff) Far cry, and simulators of cars and planes, but this game I started to play with my 12 YO daughter and I am enjoying spending some time with her in the game, that's the first time we got the chance of doing that because I am just allergic to Minecraft and Roblox. it is crazy to think that there are lots of grown ups adults out there playing this games, I think we can credit it to the overall chearfull atmosphere of this game, specially in difficult times like this.

Someone probably beat me to it but there's 2 other people other than blacksmiths that gives you mining location. One of them is Draff at springvale (during day only) and when you ask him if you see of anything of note nearby, he'll give you the dragonspine mining spot. The other is at Black Cliff Forge, west of Golden House. Talk to someone named "Iron shoulders" and he'll give you one more location in Mt. Tianheng. He isn't worth going to usually but there you go. I also love these daily walk through videoes where you are just yourself and casually chat to us. I also love your twitch. Wishing you all the best and hope to catch one of your streams again soon!
I'm grinding away at AR48... I had not been checking in with the Blacksmith daily to see where the crystals respond. That tip just saved me a lot of time as I had been visiting all of the areas marked with crystals on my map.

Another tip (in case you didn't mention it in the video): Farm the best spots only, since there are so many mining fields (and more are yet to come with the upcoming regions), it'l be very time consuming. To find those good spots, check the exp-quality of ores: 1) Crystals and Amethyst = 2500 EXP/chunk = 12.5 Iron chunks 2) White iron = 666 EXP/chunk = 3.3 Iron chunks 3) Iron = 200 EXP/chunk So even a single crystal is worth more than an entire mining field with 10 Iron chunks, just saying

Yeah i did some numbers on hu tao with my own artifacts i prepared for her. she can deal around 35k per charge atk pyro with a deathmatch and around 47k with staff of homa passive not applied when she is below 50% and the 1%dmg bonus of max hp passive of staff of homa

I use ningguang for mapping ores, thoma for fishing bonus in inazuma, yanfei for resources in liyue, itto for woodchucking bonus, fischl or sara or lisa for sakura blooms

u missed the artifact spawn spot to the southwest of mt. tianheng, u spawn on the marker next to the domain, and if u glide directly south (slightly to the west) and look down, u should find a hut and the one sparkling point closest to the entrance on the right is the artifact. the rest will give u veggies and wheat so pick those if u want. just wanted to quickly add it in case anyone will read this they can add it to their own route. also pls like or smth as I think it might make it more visible for others who don't know. best of luck with ur daily farms :) P.S. the hut is hidden sort of by an overhang from the cliff and is pretty far down (not all the way to the bottom but hopefully this helps everyone find it).

You have a quest at ar 50 so you'll actually stop at 50 until you do that quest.
You would be capped at AR 50 since there’s another ascension
Do keep in mind that AR55 doesn't have an ascension quest

Far too many RUclipsrs and streamers are producing content that keep pushing the player to min-max their characters, with all sorts of clickbait BS like "DON'T SLEEP ON [X]" or "DON'T MISS OUT ON [X]" or "YOU ARE DOING [X] WRONG". etc. It's utterly tiresome crap.
In contrast, this was a pleasant, informative video to watch.

I got Diluc in one of my first pulls followed by a Wolf's Gravestone. He's fun for me to pIay....so that's who I main in world outside of dungeons. I get lost alot in game maps and my husband "helps" me find my way back to where I started during a failed trial.......lol....that makes the game even more fun because he participates in his own way! I did listened you in the background and I found it very enjoyable, I checked your run to see if I was doing it correctly and it is pretty much the run I do as well every day, and, man! 52 years old? I really haven't thought of that, I am 42 and sometimes felt embarrassed playing this with lots of young people, I normally play more "heavy" games like Assassin's Creed, Control, Nier Automata (yes, Yoko Taro IS heavy stuff) Far cry, and simulators of cars and planes, but this game I started to play with my 12 YO daughter and I am enjoying spending some time with her in the game, that's the first time we got the chance of doing that because I am just allergic to Minecraft and Roblox. it is crazy to think that there are lots of grown ups adults out there playing this games, I think we can credit it to the overall chearfull atmosphere of this game, specially in difficult times like this.

Someone probably beat me to it but there's 2 other people other than blacksmiths that gives you mining location. One of them is Draff at springvale (during day only) and when you ask him if you see of anything of note nearby, he'll give you the dragonspine mining spot. The other is at Black Cliff Forge, west of Golden House. Talk to someone named "Iron shoulders" and he'll give you one more location in Mt. Tianheng. He isn't worth going to usually but there you go. I also love these daily walk through videoes where you are just yourself and casually chat to us. I also love your twitch. Wishing you all the best and hope to catch one of your streams again soon!

I'm grinding away at AR48... I had not been checking in with the Blacksmith daily to see where the crystals respond. That tip just saved me a lot of time as I had been visiting all of the areas marked with crystals on my map.

Another tip (in case you didn't mention it in the video):
Farm the best spots only, since there are so many mining fields (and more are yet to come with the upcoming regions), it'l be very time consuming.
To find those good spots, check the exp-quality of ores:
1) Crystals and Amethyst = 2500 EXP/chunk = 12.5 Iron chunks
2) White iron = 666 EXP/chunk = 3.3 Iron chunks
3) Iron = 200 EXP/chunk
So even a single crystal is worth more than an entire mining field with 10 Iron chunks, just saying

Yeah i did some numbers on hu tao with my own artifacts i prepared for her. she can deal around 35k per charge atk pyro with a deathmatch and around 47k with staff of homa passive not applied when she is below 50% and the 1%dmg bonus of max hp passive of staff of homa

I use ningguang for mapping ores, thoma for fishing bonus in inazuma, yanfei for resources in liyue, itto for woodchucking bonus, fischl or sara or lisa for sakura blooms

u missed the artifact spawn spot to the southwest of mt. tianheng, u spawn on the marker next to the domain, and if u glide directly south (slightly to the west) and look down, u should find a hut and the one sparkling point closest to the entrance on the right is the artifact. the rest will give u veggies and wheat so pick those if u want. just wanted to quickly add it in case anyone will read this they can add it to their own route. also pls like or smth as I think it might make it more visible for others who don't know. best of luck with ur daily farms :) P.S. the hut is hidden sort of by an overhang from the cliff and is pretty far down (not all the way to the bottom but hopefully this helps everyone find it).
