people are going to hate me for saying this, but I think brooke did pretty well! always a fan, brooke!
is SHE why the show closed?
Saw this on Broadway November 2011
Loved it 😁🎉❤
Brooke has always had that natural widows peak. But she certainly has Morticias cheekbones! She has had an amazing life. The Ivory Baby at 11 months, Pretty Baby at age twelve, VOGUE cover girl at fourteen, TIME magazines Face of the 80's at age 15. Princeton graduate, wife and mother who bravely spoke out about Post-Partum depression and now she's starring in her 5th Broadway musical. She's quite remarkable!!
Bebe has the,"one raised eyebrow says a thousand words" look, while Brooke acts like a gothic cheerleader. Lol, Even Sara is more of a Morticia than Brooke...
wtf does that mean
For someone who is not a singer nor a good actress she actually did pretty well in being Morticia Addams.
Did anyone else notice a male was playing the flapper? Love some drag ❤️
I see more Lily Munster with Brook Shields than I do Morticia
+tmmaston I agree
Yep. Bebe is FOREVER my Morticia.
she would make a great lily munster
I like Brooke, she's cute, she's a good actor, but this was a total miscast. Once Bebe Neuwirth left, the show tanked. Now, I'm really not one of those people that are all, "The OBC is the best!" however, in this case, it's true. Bebe's elegant, she's a spectacular dancer, she can sing- she was the perfect Morticia. All the new Morticia's look fake, aren't graceful at all, and try way too hard to be sexy (Bebe doesn't have to try to be sexy, she just is.)
@RebaRocks100 I agree
@EntertainmentAddams OMG YES!!! LOL did they tape two different performances and then put them together?! O_O
The grim reaper is reed Kelly right?
Looks like something i did in grade school
I havn't seen this show with Brooke but I sort of feel she wasn't the right choice to play Morticia. She is very beautiful but her looks doesn't match her acting ability or her voice, she is not a funny character actor like Bebe Neuwirth, she's a realistic actor (more fitting for film or realistic plays) and her voice is far too girly and normal. Broadway needs to be a little more "over the top" and theatrical than Brooke plays it.
Does anyone have a paper bag she can try to act her way out of?
she would be an awesome lily munster.... but not a morticia addams. bebe is an addams i love her!!! oh my jesus!!! lord knows i do!!!!!!
I'm sorry... But she's terrible!!! She isn't an Addams!!! NO SIR!!!! Bebe was great!
boooooo BEBE was the REAL MORTICIA!
Brooke is not an Addams... she's more like a Munster!
Should she win a Tony for this? No.
Did she do a fine job. Yes.
Bebe Neuwirth was born to play that role an NO ONE could have followed her and left the fans happy.
Stop comparing everyone who plays a role. You are petty.
..Bebe was too short for Morticia but that was alright.. she brought her own side to her, Brooke is so fake looking in the face that I just lost interest.. Morticia is supposed to be naturally elegant like Bebe managed to bring.. Brooke.. just no. Not an Addams.. Id rather watch Angela Lansbury try to be Morticia than her
She’s basically the same height as Carolyn jones ?
BOOOOOO BEBE NOT BROOKE BOOOOOO
hate plays and musicals. boring. poinless.
Acting, playwriting, & especially performing all of the musical numbers takes a lot of talent. Just because you don't enjoy plays/musicals doesn't mean that they're pointless. Don't undermine other people's hardwork & stop being so closed-minded. Why were you even watching this video if you don't like musicals? Ignorance.
just because you have talent to do something doesnt mean its beneficial to society. a robber , murderer, molester, etc can have talent
hiso123 ksila They may not directly benefit the environment, the government or whatever else but they're entertainment. How boring would the world be without music, dance & theatre? The fact that you aren't a fan of them doesn't lessen their value. You can't compare people who perform & put their talents to good use to people who waste them the way that criminals do.
+hiso ksila Seriously you aren't all that well versed with theatre if you do not understand the impact is DOES have on society. Theatre has saved lifes for it's not only it's entertainment value but also it's acceptance of anyone and everyone. It has also made it easier to bring awareness to issues that were perhaps thought of as taboo.
AND if that was not enough for you, touring companies and stationed ones spread out in places all around the world, in cities and towns perform shows that draw in audiences make a DIRECT impact on the economy. For family's will buy merch, they will possibly eat out, they will possibly buy a new outfit for the occasion. Not to mention also the number of jobs it holds, because to you it might not be 'beneficial' but just because it isn't an office job with paperwork doesn't make it any less of a job.
Those performers that go out there and give their entire selves to their roles and looking after their health and are giving way more than anyone in any of those 'beneficial' jobs could give.
Ps. For someone who missed the 't' out of pointless I'm sure you can understand not everyone is destined for academic success.
they are too long and boring and hard to hear. and too pompous.
but i do like brooke shields, except not in that hideous movie blue lagoon.
She's definitely more Lily Munster.
