There are other heroes like Aarya and Atharva also acted under Bala and we cannot compare them, neither nobody is going to speak about them. Surya and Vikram capitalized their initial experience and continued to work hard to achieve this position. So it cannot be good to credit Bala 100% for their growth. When things evovle we need to adjust or adopt for the evolution and that is only option for surivival or growth, unfortunately Bala need to do that else it will be difficult.

But there were always rumours/talks that Bala was a miserable director to work with. I have heard of horror stories and how the heroine of Naan kadavul almost died during the film's shooting. The director, it seems, was always arrogant and now he has a personal trauma too, to make things worse. Can't blame Suriya for not wanting to work with him again, or Vikram for not wanting to subject his son to this torture.

Ramanujam is being biased. Bala had proved that he is a unique & talented director. But, it doesn't mean his action, speech & behaviour is always good. Who'd given him the rights to treat the artists who acts in his movies in a very disrespectful & inhuman manner? Of course Bala had given breakthrough for artists like Suriya, Vikram, Vishal, Arya, Atharvaa, Laila, Abitha, Sangeetha etc. Does that mean he can treat them badly even when artists like Suriya & Vikram who'd given him opportunities in a way of showing their respect & gratitude? Director is important for a movie, at the same time artists & technicians are also important for a movie otherwise Bala himself could singlehandedly handle all the crafts isn't it? Bala should realize that fact & learn to behave with humanity & decency. Bala is a director not a dictator to torture his artists & his sadistic approach shouldn't be encouraged or justified at all. Bala should attend some counselling session or better take some treatment because his nature is very psychotic. He himself said in an interview that he was responsible for 1 of his friends mental breakdown with a smile. Will a normal person talk like that without guilt? Moreover some artists, technicians, producers who'd worked with Bala & Ameer (1 of Bala's friends & who also worked as assistant & associate director to him) had shared their bad experiences & displeasure with Bala.

But regarding Bala, certain facts are wrong. He said no producer suffered because of Bala but Sethu producer is in streets! He says no ones movies are spoken like this in Tamil, but what about Vertimaran? All his movies are well received all over India for the creation.
Bala never believes in bound script, he shoots as he feels. But Surya has tight schedule and it is impossible for him to work with Balas style. Simple problem.

Bala didnt changed but Surya is in high level now with DMK party fund. He is looking only commericial movies under 2D like soorari potru and jaibhem involving politics and do marketing. Surya and Jyothika are very clear in earning money with current government instead of struggling in character based movies which gives useless national award. Money is the king here. It is better Bala to give opportunity to youngsters who are not from film industry and want to start acting career.
