How to Install Xenoverse 2 Mods FAST

- I have decided to create a quick tutorial on how to Install the Xenoverse 2 mods patcher for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 PC Mods.
This applies for when XV2 patcher is properly updated. We are on version 1.21 for DLC 17 in 2023

A written summary of the video:
1.Download the tools (XV2 PATCHER) and (XV2INS)
2. Open your Xenoverse 2 folder, via steam.
3. Drag "XV2PATCHER" and "bin" into the folder. Replace if it asks.
3.2 Rename in the Easy anticheat folder EasyAntiCheat64.dll to anything else.
4.Extract Xenoverse Mod Installer from the XVINS rar.
Open it, get thru prompts, and if it works, install your first mod.
5. Open the modded game through the BIN folder in DB Xenoverse 2
Xenoverse 2 Mods are only supported for the PC, Steam version.

As of 5/22/2024 They have updated the game again
Do not click update, block it through steam update settings for xv2
run steam in offline mode if it makes you feel safer
Backup your files, do whatever

it's not a virus.
UPDATE:
Eternity made a special update just to stop the virus flagging.
VirusGate is over
You can literally see the source code via github, the thing that tells you every last function of the program and it's been around for almost a decade
There is already a community of people who harassed eternity just for being slow to update the tool, so if it got changed to a virus he'd be ran off the internet
Mod tools give a virus error sometimes because they modify exes and processes with things like DLLs. For example I get a virus error for the Resident Evil 5 trainer I use to get better multiplayer matchmaking and unlock fps
To solve this problem either:
Turn off windows defender by going to virus and threat protection settings and turning off real time protection (temporary solution),
Go under protection history and "Allow" the patcher (one time case solution)
Or make an exception in windows defender, under virus and threat protection settings > exclusions and exclude the download folder and the xenoverse 2 steam folder (or whatever folder of the game you're trying to mod)

i tried to open the game first but then it said "failed to apply patch" what i do
So I know this is a thing but I think there's a way for you to like be able to incorporate something that will allow you to switch characters? Isn't it in the e patches I want to know so that I have this information because I lost my PC I know how to modulars too but I needed a redo
So I did all your steps but I didn't see xv2ins in my desktop it just shows the games and apps I have installed on my PC
when I extract I cant find xv2ins.exe mine does not have .exe at the end and it opens a completely different thing, I tried renaming it to the .exe one but nothing changed
also I was using 7-zip if that makes a difference
After a while I got it to work just by uninstalling the game
i keep seeing these videos but every time i dl it and try to open it i always get an error message saying its corupted. no other file i download from other sites do that.

Whenever I try to open the Xv2in file it gives the error "bool_cdecl Xenoverse2::InitSystemFiles(bool,bool): cannot load cus" and then says InitSystemFiles failed. Ever since i got the revamp mod and downloaded part 1 of it, i just coudn't open xv2in even when I ran it in administrator. If you have a fix please tell me thanks!

try using the alternate dll "dinput" provided with the patcher and delete xinput

Your gonna need something to open up the zip/rar file I assume? So like you would need something like winrar to do that.

@@unkeeded1253 go into alternative and then copy the dinput 8 and replace it with input 1_3dil. Make sure you delete 1_3dil, otherwise it wont work. hope i could help

Im having an issue the version of my xenoverse 2 changed and it does not even show the patcher. and now every single one of my mods are gone.
Why would your version of xv2 change unless it wasn't on the latest version?
And your mods being gone is standard after updating from a previous game/patcher version (which I'm still not sure what you meant by your game version changing)

It changed the version to ver.1.21.02 bid.12772494 and I don't know why.

When I go the the bin, for some reason there is no "xinput1_3.dll." I don't remember deleting anything from the bin. Help please.
Try putting it back again and then immediately launch the game, and tell me what happens

Yeah it's been deleting xinput. The bin folder was also empty for me

That was the last common error for the patcher and game version being out of sync. I suggest either double check steps, redownload the patcher and or/ check for updates/verify game integrity in steam settings for xv2

I'm so confused bro I'm able to download Xenoverse 2's older patchers and stuff just fine but then I update it and Windows suddenly calls it a Trojan lol

According to Atsuraelu in the citadel, who is the source of literally the only info I can find on this issue
"3:0000065432 is basically just Steam saying: "Yo, I can't properly read the game's files!"
Problem is, that the error is fucking vague and can be caused by a lot of shit, including, but not limited to:
Your AV being an arsehole.
A mismatch between where Steam thinks the game is installed and where it actually is (i.e. you moved the game to another folder)
A version mismatch between the Steam validation hashes and your game files (this can happen after Steam installed many incremental updates at once and thinks you are on another patchlevel than you actually are)
You using F-Secure (in which case: Why would you do that?)
Your Steam install being corrupt"
TLDR: It can be 20 billion different things
best shot is try disabling your antivirus "realtime protection" and then try again to get it running
or delete the game and reinstall/verify cache in steam and install the patcher again

Well they're all wrong and likely don't have experience with the patcher or pc game modding in general

this video is outdated.
Ironically, this issue occurs most often when either your game or the patcher you had downloaded was outdated, for the former verify game files and try again if steam doesn't show an update button

Copy and paste the game directory where it says game path, I even show how to get to the game directory in the video
