I am in Seoul, but his music made me resonate with South American sentiment. This was my favourite guitar song, and Merlin was my favourite guitarist. I'll be listening to his music for as long as ever. Listening to this suite makes me feel like I can understand the soul of Argentina. What a great musician!
I learned to play Evocacion my first year in college and still play it till this day. I'm so glad that modern technology has given us the ability to listen to a this guitar Master.

this has every conceivable technique a classical guitarist could ever hope for in a piece... this isn't a suite its a miracle... the Carnavalito is by far the hardest part to get down but man does that part rock out!
This is the first time I hear this. It is splendid! It is much more lively than those of Segovia or John Williams. It is different and I like it! Bravo!

Preciosa ¿Pero una pregunta, el apellido es Merlín (como el mago) o Merlin (quizá una variante del apellido Merlo)? En su propio sito web y en la version inglesa de la partitura está escrito sin acento….
Con esta obraza mi hijo alcanzó un 10 el el final de carrera del conservatorio de amaniel, Madrid
