Chargers had the Colts number for much of the mid to late 2000s but they somehow managed to pull this one out. One of 7 Game-Winning Drives by Peyton Manning in the 2008 season.
People say he stole the MVP from Drew Brees in 2008 but if you equalized their total drives, Peyton Manning would’ve had 5,162 yards & 35 TD passes over the same number of drives.
The Colts defense was so bad against the run & on 3rd down that the Colts offense had the fewest drives in the NFL every season from 2004 to 2009.

I'll never get over Vinatieri, of all people, missing a friggin' chip shot that would have given the Colts the lead with about 1:30 left in that game.

Thank you; you put so much classic Manning Dungy Colts in GREAT Quality; enabling me to appreciate everything. The Talent, the Scheme, the D ends Freeney and Mathis, and pausing presnap read to think like Peyton: Where is the ball going to go, is it single high, 2 deep cover 2 zone or Cover 2 man or Cover 4? Keep it up, especially CLOSE games, win or lose, 2002-2010 Colts are just SO fun to watch. The angles are shittier early 2000's though.

Manning knows all those guys on the other side of the line and their strengths and weaknesses is what he's going to play on maybe this time or maybe next time. Defensive guy has to learn to play to his weakness and then, darn, manning will throw something that players to the guys defense talent. No wonder the defense started pointing at each other also
