  • Casatschok is an Italian song written on the melody of Katjuša by Matvei Blanter . It was presented for the first time at Cantagiro 1969 , played by the then twenty-three Dori Ghezzi , Italian texts by DA Ciotti and Giancarlo Guardabassi .
The term Casatschok , which in the text refers to the name of a " little Cossack " who teaches his dance to those who want to enter the steppe, is actually a free transliteration of the term Kazačok (pronounced casaciok , in Cyrillic Казачок), which refers the Cossacks . Often the title of the song is mistakenly transcribed and known as Casaciok , Casaciof, and sometimes also Casaciò .
