The driver going from TN to GA back to TN is not a indication of him being lost. I-24 actually dips into GA for about two miles before returning to TN.
When you step outside in the deep South during the summer and almost pass out due to the heat and oppressive humidity.....and you immediately start sweating through your shirt.....you'll be happy to load your drink cup up with ice.🥵
Omg that's the place with the marble tiles in the bathroom! I think it's an Arco right? I stop there when going back and forth to Tampa from Mobile. @user-cl1gv3oc4c
4:30 This is nothing, in South Florida. You will get rain storms so hard. You can't see the hood of your own car, much less. See if there's a car in front of you until you see brake lights
I mean sure, there is worse. But I am more than sure its not nothing for someone who is in a place they aren't familiar with and have never drove through rain like that. On a tire that has a screw in it. lol
Here's one that will make you say "no chance!" In Las Vegas, there are drive-thru wedding chapels - you can actually get married without getting out of your car!!!
@megatroll2590 Nope, that's not true, you actually have to go across the street to the courthouse to get your license which takes about 15 mins and then you go get in your car and get married, it's all legal and yes its legal in every state
So romantic 🥰 The drive thru of love. If I had the money, I’d buy a botanical garden and create a waterfall that fed into a beautiful lazy river. You get married by the waterfall and after your fiends wave you off, then you take a gondola ride around the garden. When you get out, you are at your reception area with all of your friends. Much better than a drive thru
For Floridian's, we often joke about how not many of us are actually scared of hurricanes. Yes, we prepare when one is coming. But we aren't deathly afraid, and sometimes find mild (if not somewhat dark) humor in it all. Alligators are indeed dangerous, but they're not everywhere. I can probably count on one hand the amount I've seen in my life outside their natural habitat. Florida man is also a bit of a joke from the outside than in. The theory is, Florida has pretty open records laws, so reporting on specific (even small) crimes is often much more widespread, thus creating the appearance that people in Florida are uniquely mad. But really, I'd say it's more a factor of reporting (albeit not completely).
Lived in Florida 7 years , seen 1 gator in a state park and 1 hurricane that hit here that was essentially a thunderstorm with gusty winds. . the lightning however can be intense.
As a Floridian hurricane season is from June 1-November 30. How ever mid to late August through mid October is when the Atlantic hurricane season is generally most active.
I only buy Toyotas, lol. That storm and rain he drove through is typical weather here in the south, no big deal. Hurricanes are only during hurricane season. Plenty of time to prepare for them. I've lost count how many I've gone through. As long as the Waffle Houses don't close, you know it's not too bad, lol.
Also @6:00 The place he is stopped at is a Rest Area. Owned by each state govt they are sprinkled on interstates every 50-100 miles so truckers and travelers can pull right off the interstate, use the restroom maybe get a snack from vending machine and then Get right back on. No gas station there. Just bathrooms. At the border of each state on the incoming traffic side the rest area is usually called a Welcome Center and it’s a bit bigger than normal rest areas. He is at the Tennessee welcome center on I24 North. When he hits 75 south there is a welcome center in Georgia just across the border.
A lot of ice is not only normal, many places fill the entire cup up with ice and then add the liquid. They figure why not let you have all the ice you could want when they'll just keep coming to fill up your glass anyway? (free refills) It gives them more interaction with you which leads to better tips as well.
Honestly, tornadoes are more dangerous than hurricanes. Mostly, it's because we can see hurricanes forming and developing. We have days/week to prepare. A tornado can come on a day that started out sunny and nice - and destroy your home by nightfall. Having been raised in Florida, where there is a thunderstorm virtually every day, you don't have to be terrified of a thunderstorm. Stay in your car or in a building, stay off your phone, you'll probably be fine. A big portion of the country has an app on their phone that will wake them up if a tornado warning happens at night. That's how unpredictable they are, in relation to hurricanes. Aw, don't put down Nissan. I have an 18 year old Murano and I LOVE her! Won't trade it in for anything.
Exactly. Hurricanes cause more widespread damage but tornadoes are more devastating to life and property. Hurricanes do span tornadoes though. I live in Florida and the warnings definitely get my attention.
Tornadoes on the Great Plains typically happen in the late afternoon to evening hours when the sun is still up. This tends to make them more powerful as the ground the storms move over is still heated. However, because they are usually well lit, because there are fewer hills and trees, and because those areas are less population dense it's much easier to prevent loss of life so the deadliest tornadoes usually end up being in the northern Alabama, northern Mississippi, Tennessee area where it's harder to spot and keep track of those storms.
I sort of felt bad for him being worried about a tornado. But you will know if its a funnel cloud or a tornado. That definitely wasn't one, but I understand the fear. lol Plus, you can ignore the insanely loud tornado sirens. I live in Indiana, I saw my 2nd tornado a couple weeks ago. Thankfully it was a small one, and did minimal damage a few miles away from me. It was at night, so it was a little frightening to be honest. In my 37 years of life I don't know if I have ever heard the tornado sirens go off at night, but it was extra creepy because you couldn't see anything. But I have seen many funnel clouds. It's terrifying to see, but also oddly fascinating. But if you're from the south or midwest, you are used to tornado sirens, and hear many each year. And driving in rain like that is no joke. You get used to it after a while, but the first few you drive in are terrifying.
I haven't been there yet, but here in Colorado, our first Buc-ee's opened a mere 45 minutes north of my house. I will for sure visit when I go to the outlet mall not far from there. Can't wait!
I live in CA and I would like to visit a Buc-ee's. It is amazing how big it is from their gas station area and inside the store and what one can pick up there. Locally to me, our gas stations have several pumps and a small snack shop. I been to truck stops, but it was nothing of the size of the Buc-ee's and it had a gift shop in the diner. Most of the land space was for the trucks to stop and the drivers to spend time to rest or sleep. I saw the Jolly trip to a Buc-cee's and it was mainly showcasing the foods to buy at Buc-ee's and their test tasting reaction. I think they gave everything they purchased a good review. I did not see what a Buc-cee nuggets are. I assume it is a snack/chips since it was not refrigerated. The Buc-ee's store looks like walking into a Walmart or Costco. I like the ready made food sections are made their or their own brand. I assume it is cheaper than name brand chips and more quality control. To keep in business, a traveler wants clean facilities and tasty food. You mentioned the drive thru lifestyle of Americans. Us Americans in the bigger cities like convenience and to save time (or being lazy). I feel in a way, maybe the store is getting more business with the drive thru, but if one had to go inside the shop, one might see other things and purchase it. I believe I heard in Las Vegas; they have drive-thru wedding services and drive-thru viewing of the decease; I assume if one cannot make it to the funeral. I believe the drive-thru viewing is a set time and date for the viewing. A person drives to the window, they open the curtain, and you can view the decease from inside your car. I will not be here in 50 years, but it will be interesting what conveniences will be offered to people. A lot of technology and service convenience has happened during my lifetime already.
That was my exit he stopped at. Sorry but I wish they hadn’t built it. It was an old country road with huge trees. I miss it. Although I understand. Love from Calhoun Ga. Right down the road from Buc-ees. 😢
Lol. Beaver meat. They’re world famous bathrooms because of their cleanliness. Beaver nuggets are as good as you think. Better, actually. Those nuggets in a bowl of milk is a gift from the great beaver god.
@6:00 yeah he’s on interstate I-24. Right before he gets to Chattanooga TN and then takes I-75 south to Atlanta, I-24 dips just into Georgia for a few miles. I-59 South to Birmingham Alabama connects with 59 in GA. He correctly stayed on 24 which put him back in TN for maybe another 15-20 miles before passing Chattanooga and then taking 75 south to ATL.
Funny I went to my hometown in another state for a family gathering last week. On the way I picked up a bagful of Buc-ee’s goodies for my sister. She was excited to see that because she’d never been to Buc-ee’s. And when I met my cousins there, they were raving about this place called Buc-ee’s they’d discovered on the trip down! Everyone’s into Buc-ee’s.
There is a Toyota factory in Georgetown, Kentucky and 2 Ford factories in Louisville, Kentucky. If you look at the info plate on the inside edge of your vehicle door, it indicates where it's manufactured/assembled. A lot of "American" cars, Chevy, Ford, and Dodge, have many components manufactured in other countries but then assembled in the USA. Some are actually assembled in other countries.
Using lots of ice in your soda or drinks is the law. If you are seen without ice in your drink, you will be put in jail! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Seriously though, how can you drink a warm Coke?
The mountains on the east coast are no joke as they funnel storms upwards with that massive rain coming down. It’s the rain shadow effect at its worst. Storms will dump so much rain that the valleys between mountains flood really easily. It’s why cities and towns are built high enough away from flooding. Right around Gatlinburg is really bad as lightning storms hit the mountains quite frequently.
As far as the hats: straw hats (the first one he tried) are summer hats, the gray hat is felt and is a winter and/or dress hat. If you want the best hat, Mammy Gammage’s Texas Hatters is the place to go.
The difference between Bucky's and Love's is that Love's is a truck stop and Bucky's forbids trucks (semitrailer trucks aka big rigs). Both have fuel but have entirely different clientele.
There's usually a Luvs accross the Hiway from Buc'ees because they're designed for commercial traffic. Big rigs cannot pull in and fill up and park or fill up at Buc'ees.
Hurricanes don't just show up, instantly, like tornadoes. We know they're coming days in advance. Tornadoes last minutes but hurricanes can last days and as it moves it can get stronger or weaker. The weirdest thing about them is that at the center of the storm (the eye) it's quiet. Feels like the storm is over. Then it gets worse than before (wind and water).
That mountain in the background at 4:50 is where I live. We average one tornado a year, so that storm over us is fitting. The interstate goes south in to Georgia to go south of Etna Mtn then has to go back north in to Tennessee to go around Lookout Mtn at Chattanooga. Your actually passing through a valley cut in the Cumberland Plateau. So the interstate has to change directions to follow the cut. It does have to go up an over at one point but he didn't show that.
He wasn't "running in circles". The Interstate Highway he was on has an East/West stretch where it runs along the border between the two states. The border of the states there is a straight line but it is a mountainous region so the road winds a bit to move around the elevation changes. The road curves towards the South, taking you into Georgia for a bit because of a mountain on the North side, then comes back up into Tennessee as it gets to the other side of the mountain.
While he was in TN he should have checked out the Bass Pro Shop in Memphis. Bass Pro Shop is a fishing gear store, but in Memphis it is also a hotel and restaurant complex/
He didn’t run in a circle. It’s the quirk of the state shape. He crossed out of Tennessee into Georgia & then crossed out of Georgia back into Tennessee
You ought to react to Bass Pro Shops. This store is huge for a very large segment of America. And it gets visitors from all over the world. The original store is in Springfield Missouri and is nearly 500,000 square feet. There are many locations including the newest one ( I believe) in Memphis that is in a Pyramid and is over 500,000 square feet...
There's so much they didn't even show, Texan here, We go to Buccees everytime we head east thru Temple, My Kids like stopping at Buccees more than our actually destination most of the time lol!
The bbq beef sandwiches at Buc-ees are outstanding. Unfortunately I don't live very close to one. The nearest is over 70 miles away. Beaver Nuggets are a larger version of sweet puffed corn similar to Corn Pops cereal.
Florida Man is definitely something to look out for. Also, despite being born in West Texas I haven’t been back in 31 years. I need to go back and experience my heritage. San Angelo, here I come!
Beaver nuggets are awesome! They are caramel sweet, salty, buttery, crispy, and tender - and that's only the regular flavor. Love's, by the way, is a Truck Stop.
There is a big Nissan plant in Middle Tennessee. The stadium for the Tennessee Titans is called Nissan Stadium because they bought the rights to name the stadium for a certain amount of time. Bucees is great. And that thunderstorm was not a bad one.
Oh funny, I think that is my local Buckee's. If this is the one in north Georgia, than this is the one that is an hour from my house. I stop by every time I visit Chattanooga, TN. It's the mid-way point. Also we have drive-thru everything here. We even have drive-thru liquor stores. 13:34 This is a standard amount of ice for drinks in the US. I use this for every drink every day. 😅
13:11 Did he call a chopped beef sandwich a meat filled rolls 😮😂! The thing I don’t like about bucees is that since Covid they stopped carrying some of their best menu items. I miss their roast beef sandwich!
Andre hurricanes only happen in Florida from June 1st through Nov 30th....they are rare outside of August through October though....and here in Miami, September 2017 was the last time we had real affects from a storm, and that was hurricane Irma - there is a video on my channel of my experience with the storm
Myself i tend to avoid getting ice in things because for one it wastes space and two water downs the drink as i take a while finish the drinks. Also the man got lost on the interstate as its southern Tenneesse state line is stright so i don't get how one could go in and out from Georiga to TN with out taking the wrong exit which could happen to anyone if you are not playing attention to the signs
Bucees is really expanding. There are a couple in TN including the largest one in the world, at least until they complete a new one in Texas. I stop at one in KY on 75 going and coming. The gas is cheaper, the bathrooms are gigantic and supremely clean. Bucees pays employees very well and it shows.
We just got a new buck ees in Loveland Colorado. It was slated to be the largest one in the country. But it took an extra year for permits from the state. So buy the time it opened last week. It is the 2nd largest in the country. I'm headed that way this morning. To visit grandchildren. I think I'll stop by there in about an hour.
We had a lot of drive thru's before COVID [I know you are not supposed to say that word.] but after they probably doubled (or more). It helped saved a lot of businesses from closing.
That was not a hurricane. That was just rain. Happens 3-5 times a week from April through November, everywhere between the Mississippi and the Atlantic. The Georgia/Tennessee state line is straight (it is either the 35th parallel of latitude, or one mile south of that, depending on who you ask), but the road isn't straight, because of the mountains. Nissan has a substantial history in America, dating back to the fifties (around the same time as Toyota, and more then ten years before Honda). They used to be called "Datsun", but changed the name to "Nissan" back in the eighties. ("We're not changing anything, except our name," the TV commercials proclaimed.) And you can't blame the car manufacturer, for the condition of the tires on a rental. Any amount of ice that can fit in the cup is normal. And yes, it's true that if you fill the cup up with ice you get less pop or whatever, but A) that's why our cup sizes are larger, and also B) if you are eating in the restaurant, you get free refills.
That was a mild rainstorm. He was only possibly in trouble cause his rental cars tires were bald. Which is dangerous on slick roads. If you go into a hotel and it stinks everywhere you should leave and get another one. There are plenty around unless you are in a very touristy area during peak times.
I’m driving my third Nissan. First was a 1981 Datsun 310 that I drove for 16 years. After the 310 I bought a second hand Ford Taurus. It should have been painted yellow because it was a lemon. The transmission couldn’t wait to quit. I had to have a new transmission put in a year after buying it, then it started going out again a couple years later. Then I bought a 2001 Nissan Sentra that I drove for 10 years with no problems at all. I’m now driving a 2022 Nissan Kicks that I’m thoroughly enjoying. Side note: I inherited my Dad’s 2001 Dodge Ram pickup that I use for a farm truck, hauling limbs, and other stuff around the place, but it guzzles the gas and I only drive it a few miles a week.
You have to have ICE! Part is out of habit but it can easily be 80 degrees in spring and fall and then 90-100 in the summer pretty much everywhere but a few places in the US. There are probably 50 or more freezers outside Bucees full of bags of ice.
From Nashville to Atlanta is much longer than 3-4 hours 😂❤

That is no lie . Very clean .
Buc-eye’s Beaver nuggets are Sweet Corn Puffed snacks, not beaver meat. I believe he said the meat in the buns was brisket ( beef ).
That’s what they tell you 😮

My hubby and I got married at the little white wedding chapel drive thru 35 years ago. We had a blast.

We have a lot of alligators in Texas, basically any state surrounding the Gulf Coast.
There's usually a Luvs accross the Hiway from Buc'ees because they're designed for commercial traffic. Big rigs cannot pull in and fill up and park or fill up at Buc'ees.
When it's 98 degrees the ice is clutch. If you use alot of ice it will actually not melt and keep the drink cold for hours .
Lol, I live in South Georgia and the weather he's driving through near the beginning of the video is a typical Wednesday for us in the wetter months.
lol i live in tn and thats a lil baby cloud wait till it gets dark then you say to yourself this is going to be fun
Florida man isnt that much different than Drunk Russian man videos
Beaver nuggets are addictive. Love them.
Florida has not had a hurricane going on 2 years. Last year Nova Scotia Canada got a hurricane and so did Acapulco Mexico😊
This is a rental car? That’s freaking shameful
Here in Florida. I go to Buc-ee s. On i95. Between Jacksonville and Saint Augustine. Yes I've had their nuggets. Pretty good. William s
Nice to see traffic in Chattanooga didn’t fail to disappoint. 🤦♂️
NOT Beaver meat! I spit out my drink when he said that.
He didn’t run in a circle. It’s the quirk of the state shape. He crossed out of Tennessee into
Georgia & then crossed out of Georgia back into Tennessee
You ought to react to Bass Pro Shops. This store is huge for a very large segment of America. And it gets visitors from all over the world. The original store is in Springfield Missouri and is nearly 500,000 square feet. There are many locations including the newest one ( I believe) in Memphis that is in a Pyramid and is over 500,000 square feet...
The beaver nuggets are so good especially the carmel corn
No Hurricanes you have weeks warning.
There's so much they didn't even show, Texan here, We go to Buccees everytime we head east thru Temple, My Kids like stopping at Buccees more than our actually destination most of the time lol!
I live about 10 miles from Buc-ee's and I love everything they have
Enjoying this outside perspective
The bbq beef sandwiches at Buc-ees are outstanding. Unfortunately I don't live very close to one. The nearest is over 70 miles away.
Beaver Nuggets are a larger version of sweet puffed corn similar to Corn Pops cereal.
Florida Man is definitely something to look out for. Also, despite being born in West Texas I haven’t been back in 31 years. I need to go back and experience my heritage. San Angelo, here I come!
I live in southern Tennessee near Chattanooga. I go in this Buc- ees often when i have work in Atlanta
You got to check reviews of any hotels you plan on staying in. It may be a little cheaper for a reason.
That’s not a storm😂
We do love our ice 🧊 over here!! 😂
Beaver nuggets are amazing!
Old sign joke "Eat at Joe's - Get Gas"
Oh funny, I think that is my local Buckee's. If this is the one in north Georgia, than this is the one that is an hour from my house. I stop by every time I visit Chattanooga, TN. It's the mid-way point.
Also we have drive-thru everything here. We even have drive-thru liquor stores.
13:34 This is a standard amount of ice for drinks in the US. I use this for every drink every day. 😅
There is a Buc-ees here in the Macon-Warner Robins, GA area south of Atlanta. Fun place to visit.
Buccee’s is amazing. It’s as great as people say. I love stopping there.
13:11 Did he call a chopped beef sandwich a meat filled rolls 😮😂! The thing I don’t like about bucees is that since Covid they stopped carrying some of their best menu items. I miss their roast beef sandwich!
To get from Manhattan NY to Oriskany NY you have to drive through NJ.
Andre hurricanes only happen in Florida from June 1st through Nov 30th....they are rare outside of August through October though....and here in Miami, September 2017 was the last time we had real affects from a storm, and that was hurricane Irma - there is a video on my channel of my experience with the storm
You might be surprised at all the Nissans on the road in Texas. My Titan was made in Tennessee. Great quality.
Your English is outstanding! I can always understand you, amazing!
I've had a Nissan, never buy a Nissan.Never accept a nissan if somebody wants to give you one for free! It was the most dangerous car I ever had.
I get all my prescriptions at the drive-thru
Bucees is to Texas what the bagel is to New York. Iconic.
At one time they had brew thrus. You could drive in and fill your beer mug from the tap and drive out.
You just need to react to JOLLY going to Bucee's
We had a lot of drive thru's before COVID [I know you are not supposed to say that word.] but after they probably doubled (or more). It helped saved a lot of businesses from closing.
When you live where it gets really hot, I live in Texas, you appreciate ice. Buccee's brisket sandwiches are the best.
Everyone talks up the brisket sandwiches but the burritos at Buccees are so much better to me
That was not a hurricane.
As a Floridian that just bought a Toyota Tacoma truck, I feel called-out by my favorite Russian Portuguese youtuber
Downtown Atlanta is NOT where you want to be or sleep.
You have to have ICE! Part is out of habit but it can easily be 80 degrees in spring and fall and then 90-100 in the summer pretty much everywhere but a few places in the US. There are probably 50 or more freezers outside Bucees full of bags of ice.
