These were going to be my last few months of ballet classes before I moved countries for uni and they have unfortunately been cut short due to these difficult times we are all facing around the globe. I was extremely scared of going into isolation and stopping my classes as ballet is such a big part of my mental health and how I deal with stress. These classes have quite literally saved me during the last couple of weeks and have been a great way to not lose strength and flexibility during this time. I love the good energy that both Ernst and Rex put out with these classes and I'm so thankful for the whole team at the Dutch National Ballet that is making this experience possible for so many people all over the world. Lots of love from Portugal !!! Stay safe and healthy everyone !!!
I danced for 20+ years and stopped about 10 years ago. I have been missing ballet so much and decided to jump back in during the shut down. These barre classes have been amazing! I’ve been able to jump back in and transition smoothly all while getting an amazing work out. I am truly loving these! Thank you so much for making such versatile classes that even old washed up ballet dancers can jump back into!
It is a pleasure to practice ballet "with" you, Ernst! This is by far my favorite ballet barre! It was so diverse and really kept you on your toes (literally)! As a professional dancer who is out of a job right now, this makes me so happy! More time to work on perfecting my technique! I cannot wait for class #6 and BRAVO REX! Thank you both! XOXO

I’m currently taking a workshop at the National Ballet Of Canada in Toronto taking another workshop in that week or so. Obviously I’m new to ballet and I just looking for more challenging sort of beginner, intermediate barre exercise and I really like this particular video is beautiful. Absolutely loving these barres, I m 55 and have been teaching for 35 yrs, lock down does not do your body any good, love having to use my brain on the second side. Keep them coming please.💜💜💜💜
I am so so happy these classes are available! I have been a ballet dancer for 12 years but I stopped after an injury and went to uni. These have helped me get back to a first love of mine. Because of these videos I have discovered that I still have a dancer in me. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!

Thanks so much for sharing these. I love how Ernst plays with musicality in these exercises- more so than other similarly leveled ballet barres I've taken. (Thanks to Rex, too!) This particular barre has been my favorite so far. It was very logical and I could feel how each exercise built on the previous one. My hips felt great afterwards, and those long balances have been really good for me. Glad you guys are staying healthy!

I love the class! It's just the sound of piano is so quite that it is hard to do exercise! I used to like when the sound was a bit louder like the earlier ones!
