Being able to adapt preexisting characters into your style while staying faithful and recognizable is an impressive feat, especially when you're working with limited detail compared to original artstyles of most of those characters; Simple artstyles deserve more recognition as being just as technically demanding as more complex ones.
Its a work of art
That’s more of a feat of the character designs themselves than his style.
The point of good character design is to make something that is recognizable with key features that can be carried across art styles and genres.

Some personal favorites of mine:
-Metal sonic is incredible and the pose fits very well
-G-Man’s face is really well done and reminds me of the absolute hilarity of Half Life 1 speedruns, would make a great Something About video.
-Black Shadow’s massiveness is mad funny
-Octolings look adorable oh my god I love them
-Raven beak seems like he’d be really hard to translate into your style but you did a great job of keeping it simple but still making him look like him

There is something duly wonderful about the characters with triangle faces and/or the tilted eye/mouths. It's like a modern Picasso, this style is timeless.

I love how even though his art style is simple, there’s so much expression in each drawing/frame that you know the character’s personality and thoughts in an instant. I think that’s why his the speed of his videos works so well and don’t need voice acting. It’s just fantastic work in all aspects.

Here's hoping for a "Something About Earthworm Jim" one of these days. The weird chaotic nature and humor of EJ would translate well to Jeremy's art style and own wild chaotic humor.

Duuude, just seeing Hat Kid in the Something Style makes me hope that someday Jeremy will do a Something About A Hat In Time, he'll have fun with Snatcher's Fool Scream, Conductor's Peck Neck, Mafia being Mafia, he could even do it in a speedrun format. Just imagine the possibilities.

I agree, I love his art style. I will say if you want a taste of this concept. People have made workshop characters for rivals of aether (a decent fighting game) on steam based on his videos, speed runner link is probably my favorite one, it’s very well done. As far as I know, there’s Kirby, mario, samus, and fox.

Man, Shovel Knight is a game that I seriously adore, I discovered his games thanks to the smash community requesting him, he was the first indie I knew (not the first i played or bought tho, that title belongs to Momodora, beautiful game) and I don't regret a single second playing his games.
I miss when the fan base requested games I didn't knew about because SK isn't the only one, but Shantae as well (very good games, and a ton of charisma) and more indies, now everyone only wants the best well known characters instead of smallest ones who deserve a bit of the spot light such as Xenoblade 2 and ARMS (Small compared to the rest of games and series in Smash)

1:07 This is my favorite one, somehow you made a cool and smug ruler of the underworld look even more cool and smug. I would replay Kid Icarus Uprising in your style.
This makes me really want a "Something About Half Life" where Gordon is a kind, mute, nightmarish entity running about at ludicrous speeds, ruining microwave casseroles and abusing doors to get obscene amounts of health. He still cares for the guards and scientists though, and tries to save them whenever possible in groundhog-day-esque scenarios. He goes about the OSHA violation singularity that is the Black Mesa facility doing the typical route as fast as possible, building the stupidly large arsenal until he gets to Xen. By this point he appears to just be a heap of grenades, rockets, firearms of various calibers, high-tech weaponry, and a crowbar somehow attached to the barely visible HEV suit. Sans helmet, of course. Unfortunately, he is still a cosmic entity that cannot be set loose on the world and after defeating the Nihilanth in a very (un)balanced firefight, Gman relieves him of his weapons and puts him in stasis to restabilize reality (and the narrative).
Gordon: *Bhops on light speed lol*
Also, that "Something About Half Life" should be based on a real run, like Something About Super Mario 64 and Something About Breath Of The Wild.
Alternatively, we get an animated cliffnotes to Freeman’s Mind, and watch Gordon slowly descend into madness as he goes from a graduate of MIT to singing an entire new verse to Modern Major General
So in the end its just existential crisis Luigi but with a HEV suit and a Gluon gun. I dig it.

Huge props to you on drawing Metal sonic and adapting him to your art style. It’s a really finicky design that’s so perfect it always feels like a crime to touch it. Yet you managed to make a cartoony Metal that gives off the same vibes as the original design, good job. Also loved Raven Beak and Sylux, they looked great. Overall a good video.

The inclusion of G-Man but not Gordon makes me think that there may be a Something About Half-Life along the line. I predict that _if_ there is, the premise will be Gordon being possessed by the Game Genie and being set up as the next arc-villain.

seeing some of the characters got me laughing but rabbid just really got me off guard. great work man :)
When I first started watching your videos, I though that the art-style was really just quite simple, but then later on, it hit me that these are simple characters, but they are drawn that way to maximize what you are best at… making super high quality memes and even higher quality fight scenes. This style has really grown on me, and though I sometimes think of what it would be like for the episodes to be in a different style, i then realize it wouldn’t really be the “Something” Series, because this fun artstyle is what makes it so unique.
Just do what you enjoy and know that we all love and support you in whatever you do.
After seeing your depiction of Pac-man in the Something series, seeing Tetris here makes me wonder what a "Something About Tetris" would look like

Haven't finished that game yet, (I'm stuck on the Kraid boss) but I love the game so far. The E.M.M.I.'s are amazingly designed and equally creepy, it's instant panic mode when one starts chasing you and when you use the Phantom Cloak when one comes by you have to pray it'll go away before it starts taking out your energy. As for Kraid, his fight is amazing so far, it's fun and I actually laughed at that cutscene where Samus is on guard until she sees him, relaxes a bit, and it's like you can hear her thinking "Oh, it's just Kraid again" as she charges the Charge Beam right into his mouth.

2:56 The Klonoa Series has always been a mystery to me. I’ve never played any of his games before and the first time I’ve ever been exposed to the character was from a DLC pack containing a Klonoa keychain accessory in Soulcalibur 5 (I had the XBOX version).
Honestly, he looks really cool and I wanted to learn more about what his game series is like. From gameplay I have seen on RUclips, it’s like if you combined various elements from Super Mario, Sonic The Hedgehog, Kirby 64, and NiGHTS into dreams together. And of course with the acknowledgment of PAC-MAN thrown in.
DiGi Valentine has an interesting overview on the character in his Who Dat? series if you need some introduction before trying it out (although I think there may be some spoilers for a few games in the series).
The remakes came out a couple months back. I hope you got around to playing them.

It also kinda revealed that the Mario we know in the series took hold of a Game Genie game enhancer which led to the genie taking over and masquerading as Speedrunner Mario(just a theory)
