I am the same age and remember standing in front of the tv just staring at this video in awe. I specifically remember thinking he has crazy eyes but I liked them. I wanted my room to look like the pink room with the white flowers in the heart shaped box and also wanted a blue room like it.

My brother was born in the early 90s. We both shared the same taste of music and he introduced me to Nirvana through their hit Smell like teen spirit. Time flies since i first listened to Nirvana in 7th grade not knowing how my choices all led me back to this very moment. Gotta cherish what you have got. A new decade, a new nostalgia. I was 18 when Nevermind came out, 20 when this song was released. Even though I lived far from Seattle, the influence of Nirvana and other bands really had a lasting impact. 30 years later and I'm still listening to their music.

I'll give you this, I couldn't name all the band members and i could care less. Kurt didn't want the fame, he was just in it for the music, he didn't want a bunch of people to worship his band or him. So essentially I'm the fan he wanted, someone to follow his music and listen to it and understand where he's coming from.
