If you get an all of the above backup, there will be a file that has the error (Fault) history. This file is ERRALL.LS If you open it with a text editor (We prefer using Notepad ++) the fault log will show up similar to the view on the teach pendant. There is the option to use an onscreen keyboard for naming. It all depends on who is doing the backup and how familiar they are with a teach pendant. For some, it takes longer to pull up the keyboard and use that than to just type the letters using the keys. So, you definitely could use the keyboard.
Motion Controls Robotics Inc it’s just two more presses of the down arrow and then F5. No chance it takes longer to use the keyboard unless whatever you’re writing is only a couple letters long.

do you know how to backup variable files only?
Can you use this same approach to download fault logs? Also is there a way to change the number of fault logs to be greater than 100?
