This looks SO good. I also enjoy how you're surprised by your starting positions in every race, when they're carried over from the position you finished the previous race in 😝 But the mod looks superb, it seems to cover basically everything you could want from it, and it does it all really well.

Absolutely astonishing work, I've wondered about how one might add one or two key features of this (e.g. Lap counter) to BMP but had no real likelihood of working out how to code it. And now RM has done ten times more... It looks like they thought of pretty much everything, and what isn't implemented yet is on a to do list, but just in case, i had a few thoughts of extra things that could help with the implementation of common game modes without going mad (hopefully not duplicating anything already shown or mentioned in the chat) - * reset counter and limits on how many or how often, maybe the last one dropping you in a new location for spectating and wreckage removal (infection, hunts) * separate start / reset / home locations for one player or teams of them (hunt type games etc) * node grabber is probably already blockable, but maybe restriction on the strength to that of one or a certain number of average humans? (righting of cars when rallying etc - limiting the height above ground is probably impractical though?) * ability to get out and use beamling or not * timer on the out of bounds explosion, and ability for OOB areas to move randomly or between set positions and/or change size (sumo, horizon style eliminators etc) * folding in the functionality of the existing capture the flag mod if the creator is cool with that, it seemed to be missing a couple of things that this mod provides (ghosting and such) * reverse driving detection and punishment of some kind (eg if you hit three checkpoints in reverse order, so you're not hit over the head for momentarily getting lost or backtracking to grab one you know you missed but don't know the exact location of because they're hidden) * min/max altitude limits on checkpoints for more GTA style aerial or multi level stunt races? * triggering other events per checkpoint hit? (from Leathercap saying about not being able to recreate long Mariokart jumps because gravity and wind can only be set globally for each vehicle or something... If that can change per player as you move between locations it'd help) * blocking use of slowmo, pause, gravity adjustments for individual players within the bounds of a race * permanent ghost for a particular player (pace car etc) or even a replay of your previous/fastest lap? * AI integration, should CPU racers ever become anything better than path following drones anyway * partial repairs? * those or full repairs/resets limited by location, to implement pits or garages (and of course limiting resets to cars that have been sat still for, say, at least one second, per typical infection/etc rules) There's probably a hundred more you could come up with, and the mod as it stands is already revolutionary, that's just what i can come up with from seeing game modes in other vehicular games, and informally administered in BMP (which seems to be an annoyance and often unreliable or a source of conflict).
I race with Randy on RM2 every week most of the time twice a week. It’s been a great time watching him and the RM grow and can’t wait to see how it will affect sim racing in the future.

Have to give this a try, been hoping for a racing modification that allows racing for all skill sets. This is make people be less frustrated when racing less experience racers. Awesome Randomminds
This is the kind of mod that turns Beam into what it's properly capable of being, and becoming a true racing game! Massive respect to RandomMinds for going to the effort of making it all, and making it work!
As much as 'game changer' is becoming virus-like in its use across youtube, a real racing toolset has been Sorely missing from this game for far too long. Hat's off to the dude for implementing this!
This is an amazing mod and I hope it inspires other mods to maybe bring RandomMinds in as a consultant... in particular I think the CTF mod could benefit from a number of these features, and I'd love to see more development done on it, because I love BeamMP CTF... it just needs some moderation, which I think the ghosting feature could help greatly with.
POV you're shados or gav taking this personally because you cant scuff somebodys race by resetting in front of them or slip nitro under the hood anymore
I always wondered why no one was doing this already. The game already allows you to create scenarios and place checkpoints. Can you not do those things in online multiplayer?
Neil you should change Gav's name to gas So you can say you got to pass gas loud I think that's a good appropriate name for him because column gas. so when you're raising there are going to be times when you need to pass gas well.
Yeah... this mod is absolutely brilliant, and it looks like RandomMinds still has plans for adding more features. I apologize to Neil for seeing the title and putting off watching the video for two days. 🤣
It's to stop people from sitting there and not getting eliminated and then driving and ruining outhers races and the added parts on the track is more obsicals to avoid hope this clears up your question
It can't be on the repository because it's not just a beamNG mod, It requires beammp. I'm first going to put it out on a few servers that I host in an Early Access mode with a few communities to flush out any remaining bugs. Then I will put it out on public servers that I host for everybody to be able to play races in. I will have patreon levels for people who want to be able to take over a server and run their own events and such... And then after that who knows-randomminds
really excited to share this with you guys. RandomMinds put YEARS of work into this mod and I really think it shows!

this is basically what gta6 online would be, gta5 racing but with crash physics
i may be late but man i see some of the failrace crew in these races, thats actually pretty cool
