Mexican Revolution: A Complete History of Mexican Independence ( All Parts )

refers to a series of events that occurred in the early 19th century and related to the struggle of the Mexican people to free themselves from Spanish colonial rule. This period began with the Grito de Dolores on September 16, 1810 by Miguel Hidalgo, which called for resistance to Spanish colonial rule.
After Hidalgo's death, the struggle was continued by figures such as José María Morelos and Vicente Guerrero, until finally in 1821, Mexico achieved its independence through the Plan of Iguala agreed by Agustín de Iturbide and Guerrero. Mexico then entered a period of independence full of internal conflicts, but the historic day of September 16 is still remembered as Mexican Independence Day.
