He then realized he needed to go to Dallas for his competition, so he went to the airport and hopped on Kanye southwest, got some Kanye rest, and the next morning was feeling ready for his Kanye contest. Or at least he Kanye guessed. On the day of the competition he was feeling a little Kanye stressed. But in the end the judges were Kanye impressed. This is why I love internet mysteries, your imagination gets to run wild and we all get to have fun trying to understand a piece of art in ways the original artist never imagined. This was essentially an ARG that wasn't really intended to be one and I can imagine the artist, Hope, couldn't be happier with the large audience she brought in and the amount of attention her game received and still receives.
They say you die -two- -three- four times: After you release an indie game, after someone finds your indie game's weird ARG easter egg, after the easter egg gains renewed popularity when people connect it with New Age cults and then find the game's music creator, and finally when you're tracked down nearly a decade later for a proper interview and you reveal it was just for a school project. Oh and I guess also when you die, whatever.
The game is based on a song by Del The Funky Homosapien as Deltron. The song is called 3030 and outlines the entire game. Not one "researcher" has made this link.
I think it's pretty great that someone's student project became a huge urban legend. I wish some of the stuff I came up with in college had gone viral, but that wasn't a concept back then LOL

Great video, just have a small nitpick about the datamining for the puzzles: Rpgmaker vx ace allows a dev to place events on a map, which allows one to handle well, eventing. So it's not really looking at the game files or pure code (like one would for a unity or similar game), more so looking at the game project in the vx ace editor. (Tbf events essentially hold some form of code, so in a sense you're looking at the games code. But this is such a minor detail that most people wouldn't care about.)
I am still unsure about Clara being behind it-something that I don't believe was mentioned in the interview was Calypso-another game linked to Kanye Quest (using stuff from the Ascensionism hotline mentioned in the first game) or the other ARG Kanye Quest linked to/got the codes from. It also says it was copyrighted by Ascensionism records in 2016, which doesn't really line up with Clara's school project claim.
